Former IPCC commissioner says ‘racism’ fuelled criminal investigation against her by Met Police

- Channel 4 News can reveal that the Metropolitan Police spent over one million pounds pursuing a criminal investigation against Jennifer Izekor, the former commissioner of the police watchdog, then called the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

In her first television interview, Ms Izekor, who was cleared of all charges, says that the investigation was a monumental waste of taxpayers money and was fuelled by racism on the Met’s part.
This programme has obtained previously undisclosed evidence, including a document showing that a white police officer accused her - a Black woman - of racism

Which is why avoid police if you could, don't give them excuse to get to you, make sure your car lights are working, etc. Because once they stop you, they keep digging just to screw you up with the law. If you challenge them, they get aggressive, if you complain to their boss, they cover up for each other's fault.

My personal experience police no matter in which country is most corrupt and dangerous section not all of them but few rotten appels are shame for whole department and sadly rotten ones r much more then good officers who r respected and deserve uniform. Hope bad ones get kicked out of system because they r intently destroying ppls lives.

I woke up this morning about 4 o'clock look outside there was a drone to the rear of the property I moved to the front of the property to watch some TV the drone movie to the front of the property. These are some of the things that have happened to me over a 40 year period. I went on a cruise recently an under cover person was keeping an eye on me. I don't know what the real reason are other than that I am black travel a lot to Jamaica and live there for a while. There is a lot more , I have lived here for more than 50 years did ali the normal thing, work,marriage, kids, mortgage, small business etc.

This comment also applies to a lack of social responsibility within Afro Caribbean communities. Rather than bitching about it, Afro Caribbeans need to get a grip. If the police were as racist as Afro Caribbeans say, then why don’t we see the same scale of allegations from folks with Indian heritage? I don’t see young Indian and Pakistani Brits stabbing each other to death at the same rate, or populating U.K. prisons to the same degree. It’s time some difficult discussions were had about this.

Is it perfect - not at all, does personal and institutional racism exist, of course it does. However, it exists in all communities and the black community is no different.

My assertion was of course they can. As it happens in this case it seems like the white police officers were trying to throw mud at the (black) lady who was investigating their behaviour as a deflection.
