Minarelli make the engine as they did for the XT660 & MT-03 660. Got an '07 Strada a few months ago for less than £2k with 15k miles on it. Been to France & Luxembourg on it, went well. Long distance comfortable with screen and a lot of fun. I did a couple of days of riding 3 hours, stop for food/fuel & then ride for another 3 hours. There's a few things to be aware of with them, have a look at Aprilia Forum. Good value for a couple of grand...
Had a 660z Tenere, same engine. Did 40,000 faultless miles, mainly 2up, loaded, abroad. ( she loved it...) Amazing engine, ridden within it's sensible limits. I'd gave another tomorrow. But things gave moved on, like with the Guerrilla/ Himmy 450. But, great bikes. Ride safe 👍
That's the engine in my MT03 and it's got tons of character once used to it. They do make some funny pops and bangs I'm glad to hear it's normal and not just mine 😆🙈🙉 My MPG is almost always a consistent 60mpg.

Hi Shaun, nice bike the Aprilia Pegaso, did not know it was Yamaha powered 650 engine and it sounds good, a possible contender.... Hope it goes for you on Tuesday, Catch you soon take care
Preferred my BMW Funduro over the Pegaso of a similar vintage. Never been a fan of the later Strada version. Didnt they do a factory version of this with all the bells and whistles?
Howzit Shaun You mentioned at the end of your video that you like the Suzuki GT a lot, and that you’ve ridden the GX. Which of those two do you prefer? Reason II’m asking is because I do European tours (approximately 2,000 miles each tour) and already have the Suzuki GT but am due to change it soon when my PCP deal runs out, and unsure if I should get another GT or a GX or if I should go with the Kawasaki SX (although the new Kawasaki SX is down to 133 bhp). Which would you recommend?
Alrite pal loved the gx and would have that over the gt anyday just suits me better though saying that I'd have the kawasaki engine over the suzuki ... as u know when touring bhp doesn't mean a thing it's all about torque which i find the sx makes it smoother and stronger. But hey ho they are all good bikes 🏍
Anyone that has never ridden a 'large capacity Single' will be moaning about the excessive vibration within the first 30 minutes 🤣🤣🤣 Make sure it's properly serviced, the tyres, brakes, are OK and you could go touring anywhere you want on that tomorrow. Never knew they had the XT660 engine in, they should have made a big thing of that, as you said, that engine is bulletproof. Anyone who wants 'electronic aids' should look elsewhere. 🙂
Yeah, this is so true. I have mostly ridden twins (still have my first bike, a sv650 v-twin and had a tdm parallel twin for a short wile) and a mate of mine bought a funduro. Very fun to ride but i couldn't get used to the large-bore single cylinder thump. Honestly, i think there needs to be a miracle for me to give up my v-twins. The parallel twin was fun for a bit but not as good feeling as the V.
No thanks..., it's far too Yellow for my taste! If it's Yellow... yuck, same goes for Gold. All other colours are OK, but maybe we'd have to talk a little first though, if it's pink!
Quality video
By coincidence I've just bought one through eBay 😊
Fingers crossed here. Pick her up in a few days
Cheers
Mitch
Cheers Mitch absolute cracking bike so much fun 👍🏍
I've got a 2009 trail version. Bigger front wheel, spokes and big knobbly tyres. Makes me grin every single time I ride it.
Was well impressed with it 👍🏍
The one I had was 3yrs old on a "P" reg and had a Rotax engine, went all over on mine and never had any problems

Brilliant bike, I've got one. Handles like dream, especially with progressive fork spring. No girly mode buttons, who needs them👍

@@TinsonTourthanks for the advice mate, I’ll need to arrange some test rides 👍

Absolutely it's a cracking bike that can pretty much do it all 👍
