I could see the park starting with the ride going forward then after a while turn the trains around to bring people back to the park. Like, "Now ride it backwards and take the 350ft drop face down!" It'd also be cool if they had half the train be forward and half be backwards.
My only small gripe with this is that after analysing the plans, I am almost 100% certain that the reverse spike will be beyond vertical and curved, very similar to an Intamin Surfrider. This is because of the support structure we have seen for it, and the track extending behind the supports, meaning the track will have to curve beyond vertical to essentially balance the track, as this is what it looks like on the Surfrider model. Also, I really hope that there will be at least one airtime hill on one of the launches. I couldn't see anything on the plans suggesting it, but I am really hoping so. :)
@@lukemeeson5314 IMO, it’s whatever the manufacturer considers it and I think that if the launches consistently reach 300 feet, which is really likely since this is like 360 feet tall, it’s a giga
It looks nice, but it just feels incomplete. I feel like it's gonna run into the same technicality issues rides like Superman at SFMM run into, that they aren't a strata or in this case a giga cause they don't actually reach that height. If they back spike was in the shape of an integral symbol in much the same way the rear spike on the Mack powersplash is, but was also 300ft+, then I would consider it a giga. For the moment, if it doesn't consistently go 300ft+ on that front spike, not a giga. Plain and simple. I feel like this is a good half a coaster that they got as a bonus for their previous work with Intamin. Like a "buy 3 products, get a giga shuttle free", but it's obviously not a full circuit, budget giga. Am I making sense? :/ Like a bargin bin or something they threw in as "on the house"... let me know your thoughts.
The permits filed are for 355 ft so the train could make it over 300 with out reaching the max height of the track, if it uses gravity to traverse the layout and the train reaches 300 ft I would consider it a giga
Would love to see seats like Apollos Chariot as well (4 across x 9 trains = 36 riders) I think 2 across with only 8 trains or 16 people is only going to move about 400-500 people per hour which will be a long wait similar to Tempesto which also has only one train running at a time. They have a lot of space where the old Drachen Fire was, why not just build a complete circuit Giga running at least 2 trains.
@@tecwzrd Because steel is crazy expensive. To me, it seems like Intamin is offering to install this coaster at a discount to allow them to try building a new model. Why build a prototype in a private testing facility when you can build it in a park. Like, "Let us try building something experimental in your park and we'll do it at a reduced price. You get a new record breaking coaster for cheap, we get to test a new concept. Win win."
@@AlexLikesToons true, also now that a switch track has been identified to load/unload while another train is running, I'm less worried about line times. Rides per hour should be equivalent to the loch Ness monster.
You should have seen what BGW had planned originally. It was an Intamin Accelerator with that weird Cheetah Hunt element blown up to 320ft. The only difference is we aren't getting a full circuit giga.
Well done animation but I fear Drachen Fire is rolling in its grave. Too redundant to the main conceit in Pantheon. The classic quartet of Alpengeist, Apollo, BBW and Loch Ness really set a new standard for "interaction with terrain" (you can add Griffon as you see fit), and I wonder if this is up to that standard...it does have the sweeping lefthand curve skirting the tops of the trees, the pre-spire part going into a bit of a ravine and the spire shooting upward from somewhere behind Verbolten and the bumper cars... I wish it had one more idea, like the going low through the woods behind the lift hill under or parallel to the train (the boneyard, etc.). Don't think the Kings Mill neighborhood would appreciate that. Maybe partially underground, popping out different places in those woods?
i remember seeing this idea and i remembered a spike being this tall would be obsurd now im seeing the dragster spike concepts on the internet and now i think this is like a baby ride version lol
I think I’m a bit late to this video, but I bet this could have 2 train ops. One could get loaded in the station, another could run the corse. Fixes a big problem shuttle coasters usually have. Maybe run 1 train forward, 1 train back, as well.
would love if the trains were half forward and half backwards facing. or if the train rotated on a turntable and did the layout twice once forward once backwards like sandy's blasting bronco. just my 2 cents. I find vertical spikes more fun when youre going backwards facing the ground.
This looks like an incomplete and un thrilling coaster experience. Maybe throw a few loops in there and a system that holds the cars at the top of the screw tip similar to a boomerang and possibly a track switch similar to mt Everest while the train is held then release backwards into a clockwise double corkscrew inversion to another temp holding station while the track changes again into another launch strip that shoots you thru a banana roll and counterclockwise corkscrew inversion before returning to the station.
I feel that Pantheon isnt needed let alone this uninspired trash, I consider Verbolten a terrible coaster for is disgusting waste of the terrain it was built on (being a glorified box coaster) and would rip that mistake down in a heartbeat if I were to take over BGW, but this somehow makes Verbolten look good. I didnt realize that BGW's park management was as incompetent as Mount Olympus's park management to think that they need yet another gimmicky launch coaster.
AshenTycoon oh I like verboten it’s kept a good tie between BGW themed and not too new it’s also made from scrap metal and props from Big Bad Wolf and the reason they took that out was because someone actually died on it. So in my opinion verboten was a good way to replace such a hard to maintenance ride. I just don’t like pantheon and this 3rd ride which quite frankly has no theme or use in the park ESP where it would be placed. It just doesn’t make sense to put two coasters in Germany and have such a weird track layout!

The way the switch track works is one train goes on while the other comes off.
Hopefully it actually happens this time
I'm anxious to see what they're going to do with the landscaping.

Call me old-fashioned, but I feel... cheated... if it isn't a complete-circuit ride.
I hope they put it in the area where the Drachen Fire used to be, that area has looked horrible for years.
