Thanks for the video, nice to see an actual install as the mfr video is decent but obviously makes look a little easier than it is. I was able to get away with not unplugging the wires on the bottom panel. I just carefully removed and replaced the screws after I noticed they’d just drop in the tray below if I fumbled them. Saved a few mins.
Thank you for the video. I was using a piece of twist tie to hold it in. Either kids got in and remived it or it got knocked out while cleaning the dash but next thing I know its stopping on me. 😁. So grabbed this mod and was struggling with hiw to remove all those lower plugs. Found your video and said - oh, thats where the little clips on the connectors are 😁.
Good video, I learned a lot. Does modifying the SS button impact the warranty in any way? If not, I may install the Eliminator, I'm driving a 24 SV crew cab 2wd.
@@nikonmark37814 hello, thank you for watching. No it does not. No wires are cut and it can be removed at any time. It is more of a “piggy back” to the factory system. Take care.
Now that the Auto Stop/Start button is being moved over to be directly next to the push start button for the 2025 model year, I wonder if installing this is going to be more complicated or not. The 2025 model will be my first new vehicle :D
I actually think that it won’t be that hard to modify. And if I really had to do it all over again, I’d probably just stick a straw or a zip tie underneath the button, especially if it’s really complicated to get to, But I am very happy with the modification that I made. I really think that it was worth it. Thank you very much for watching.
What I did was cut a narrow piece of cardboard down to the size of the auto stop start button and after I started my Pro 4X truck I pushed the auto stop start button in which turned the system off and then I simply wedged the cardboard under the button and it works perfectly. The button stays pushed in and when I start the truck the auto stop start system is already off. The piece of cardboard I used was black and it blends in perfectly and is nearly undetectable and can easily be removed should you ever want to.
I just received an hvac panel for a 2022 from a salvage yard. Going to delete the button completely. Setting should be mandatory Off with option to activate. I won't ever have to think about it again soon.
Nice work on the stop-start eliminator. I have a 2023 Nissan SV with a rear bike rack, and the truck stops every time I back up. Can you bypass this feature?
Hello! Yes, yes it was. This is going to sound dumb but I’m so busy with everything going on I don’t want to spend any extra brain cells to remember to push a dumb button. So I fixed the problem. Now I get in and drive. No thoughts or energy required. For me it is dam nice. Thank you for asking. Also, thank you for watching.
It’s either before the Mid or the switch in 2023 because all late 2023 and 2024 have that button I promise. Thank you very much for watching. I really appreciate appreciate it.
Great video, thanks. But I am hoping someone can figure out how to disable the DRL’s on my 24’ pro 4 x. I have a large lot that I don’t need that feature. I know it’s law on public roads though. Wishing for a solution 🤞🏼
@@jolede029 Do a video if you do the Red start button, I installed one in my 2023 Pro4x. I love it. It is fairly easy. I installed this start/stop part after seeing your video, it works great and for 100.00 it is worth it.
It's an issue if your like me and forget to turn it off and wonder why the truck shut off at a light. 😂 I get your point, but not everyone remembers to hit it or wants to hit it every time.
Hello, I agree but get in and turn on the truck and go forgetting to push the button. I just wanted something nice, but will say jamming something under the button would be easy too. So far I really love this eliminator. Thank you for watching.
@@Blue-moon12 I did end up getting this mod and installing it about the time I made that comment lol. Even did a video on it. Lol
Hello, I thought about doing a video driving around town with it activated and deactivated, but in a non-controlled test I would probably have a different number of stops and starts for each one. I’m trying to figure out how I can do it where it could be more even. I guess I could just literally count the number of times that it shut off but then to even make it more scientific I should keep a timer of how many times or how much time is accumulated in the off position at an intersection. Because I am very curious myself. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you very much for watching. I really appreciate it.
No way I am going to all this trouble pulling everything apart to just avoid having to push a simple button every time I start my Frontier. To each his own but this seems ridiculous.
Hello, yes for me I forget to push the button all the time. This makes it easy. If the truck turned off every time I came to a stop it would be easy to adapt, but it doesn’t. It’s like a hit or miss. Thank you for watching.

The start/stop is esy to eliminate with the disconnect the cable from the battery pole negative. It will blink but is is not annoying

Disconnect the two middle sensors in the rear. An error will pop up, but you can put a resistor in place to bypass it.
Had this truck for 2 months, bought it new, and got rid of it with 800 miles. That auto on/off feature is an engine killer.
So you sold it cause the autostart stop?
Stupid people can't be be taught.
What??? Just turn it off.

They are required by law
Hello, from an electrical engineering standpoint I would think that would be super easy to fix. It would just take some it is all.
FYI. The NISMO red start stop ignition button from the NISMO Z fits the 2022-24 Frontiers with a push button ignition. Z-1 offroad sells them.
