Keep an eye out for some seat belt shoulder cushions, for your tool bag strap , when in the yards.... 😎🔧
Damn.. good point!
Looks like a good, overlander tool bag.
piece of pipe insulation on that tool roll strap.
Great video
I wish my pull-a-part had that many Jeeps!!
I need a AC conditioner for 2002 WJ. And AC hose’s.
I have 2 cherokees and both of the center console lids are stock and not broken
Seriously?? Well played
thats hilarious! the lid on my console is broken, too.
You are correct every XJ has a broken arm rest latch. My latest score was a Reese Hitch. $5.00 at the local u-pull
Can't beat that!
Dang, The receiver hitch I picked up a couple weeks ago was $30...but still a hell of a lot cheaper than what the local shop wanted...$500+ for the receiver and installation...no thanks, I can drill holes and install bolts and nuts myself and the wiring is already there so I just need to install the plug. Now if the shop can get the dang engine finished in my vehicle I'd be happy LOL.
Gotcha ALL beat. Factory MOPAR rear receiver hitch. Like brand new on a '96. $30.00 plus the FT skid plate for $8.00. Didn't even need my impact. came right off. Didn't grab the nut plates cause I didn't want to deal with the bumper.
Not sure if someone else said it but that cherokee the punks gorilla'd also has the plastic window shades.
Good call! I usually pull those for resale, but in the winter the plastic just cracks when you try
I think the best style bag from my experience, a tool backpack.
The renegade spec Liberty's look better because they came with an updated flat hood so no ugly bubbly hood and grille. Ive seen pictures of lifted ones with fender flare delete. Looks damn sharp.
That rear drive shaft (on the Jeep you pulled the tires/wheels) was bent as well as rusty..
Yea, they uses forks to pickup the vehicles at the yard, so many many driveshafts are bent.
I got a 02 Jeep Liberty Limited 3.7L with almost 100k miles. Good car. Havent had to do any major repairs. Just regular maintenance.
5:30 now right there is a real "man bag" you could even take it to a coffee shop, pull out a screwdriver and stir your coffee, like a real man.
IT'S NOT A PURSE!!! .. It's a man bag!
My Cherokees center console lid clip is still in tact
Are you serious?! You are literally the only person I have ever found who can claim that
Worst case scenario use a seatbelts strap cover/cushion on the strap of the bag. (velcro on velcro off)
those coopers were NICE!
So much gold in this video.
Yea, this yard in Upstate NY is an absolute gem. Always had good stuff
My buddy had a liberty.... He just cut it up for scrap the other day... If i could post pics on RUclips I would... 6 speed
Nice score guys...
As a semi-professional roadie, I am always more concerned about the case than the instrument. Nice job on the roll up tool pouch!! Not as much rust here in the south, but on the coast we have lots of saltwater from the ocean. Always give your Jeep a bath after 4 wheelin!! I always love your encouragment to grab parts even if ya dont need them now. Keep up the great work, guys!!
Need to go to the yard !!!
Jeep liberty is probably the worst mistake Chrysler made next to the Jeep Patriot
Hell yea, I'd rock a lifted liberty!
Same wheels you pulled I’ve got on my xj
YESSSSSS, those tiressssss. I need the navy blue right side back passenger door.......
Soooo much stuff to talk about I can’t remember evrything I wanted to comment about. I agree I’d totally daily drive a lifted liberty. Great scores at the yard and great vid! Glad they’ve got Bluetooth dipsticks over your way too!!
Yea man, The Liberty is really growing on me. The have the Chrysler 8.25 rear, so it has the bones to do some work
D&E In The Garage sounds like a build series I’d love to watch!
@@jtmoffroad so true too much funny stuff and truth to comment on here ;)
it seems to me, you see that many libertys in the salvage yards because they dont last long and the values are too low to be worth fixing...
but i keep thinking the rear axle in the liberty with the 8.25 coil sprung rear would be a nice and easy way to do 4 link XJ with coils in the rear (why has this not been done yet) ;)
Damn... I had not thought of that. It is all setup for it! Just weld in some perches
Good video keep em coming. 3 XJs in one yard! Wish I were so lucky. If one shows up by me it looks like it was violated by a transformer after the 1st weekend so thanks for commenting on junkyard jerks. The one with snow under it was probably new to the yard. I should rent a truck and come on up!
Hey, you let us know when you are coming and we'll meet you out there. haha. Most of the yard in NJ/PA/NY have tons of WJs, XJs, and ZJs. Evern starting to see a bunch of YJs
some socket rails would be a nice addition to the bag
Ha! The clip on my 94 Jeep XJ is NOT broken. Maybe I have the only one on the planet. Great video!
You DEFINITELY have the only one... that clip may be worth thousands of dollars to a museum. haha
Gotta chime in here and brag too 😋, all three of my XJ's have good clips 😁
My wife has the liberty! It is a pretty good jeep!
I'm still waiting on the day I find manual xj at a pick n pull. I love collecting 5 speed parts for 97-01 xj's. If I was you guys I'd buy that up
And the center console shift boot. Seems like everyone is looking for those. Harder to find 5 speed parts for 97-01 xjs
+1, especially since all manual transmission vehicles are slowly being phased out. +2 because the Cherokees (clean untouched examples) will be highly sought after one day; especially the older ones. I've got an 88 xj, 4.0 i6, 4-speed auto NP231. Way back from when AMC had their mitts on the name. No way will they ever be "collectable" but I certainly do see a clean one with a manual transmission selling for used Wrangler prices in the coming years; especially when looking at the direction Jeep is heading in the future.
Love the content guys, it gets me motivated every time to go wrench on my Jeep! Wish I had a Pull a Part near me though!
Wicked jealous of the tire and rim prices!!!
Yup. Never pass up good tires especially for a WJ 225 75 16. Just found an already dismantled e brake lever on the drum. Previous owner took the ebrakes off. $1 pic pull vs 39 from online. Every time I go, always another WJ XJ guy there. We always get together and help get parts off.
Heck yea! I love the community in the yard. Learned alot from the random buy pulling parts on the vehicle next to me
I walk around pulling a bike trailer with my bucket of tools seat belted in with my tools. It rolls easier than the rental carts and has room to carry back all your treasures.
Huh... that is a damn good idea! Thanks for the tip!
Good old upstate New York
If you find an old gym bag shoulder strap pad that might work too!
Man I don't like going under vehicles at the junkyard
I've wanted to build a Liberty for a while. Don't judge a jeep by its rockers lol I need to make a shirt for that haha 😂 great video love the junkyard videos
Thanks for the feedback! That actually would be a kind of funny shirt. Us rust belt Jeepers can all relate
Not a Jeep story, but on a recent trip to Pick A Part I got a set of wheels and tires for my car, looked brand new, different wheel style but hey for $30 per wheel/tire you can't go wrong with new wheels and tires and now I have a full size spare tire and extra wheels and tires.
Boom! Nailed it! Gotta love that yard!
Window luvers!!!
3:40 is the truth and best advise for anyone that needs some custom build advise
Haha... I was worried it was just me seeing it...
@@DEInTheGarage yea man, it is the most useless waste of time and materials you could do to a vehicle. the other day i saw a suburban with about 12" lift in the front and lowered to the tires in the rear :(
it looks like a dog that is dragging it's ass across the ground because it's ass hole itches or it still has shit stuck in it's ass that it cant get out
My moms Jeep has that center counsel clip unbroken
I shoul ad some yard content to my channel too! Great review and great work guys!
Yea man, people seem to like to u-pull videos. I checked out some of your vids. cool stuff!
JCR Offroad makes a metal arm rest latch
Elmo came along for the ride too... 😏
That tool bag is a monster , what brand is it ?
Kinda late but let me know if you got anyinfo on those bushings from quadratrac! I got some recently for my wj but they were too big, i guess i ordered one for a 242 transfer case and upon further inspection have a 247 transfer case that i cant find bushings for anywhere
You can buy one peice lugnuts brand new on amazon for $20-25 thats what ive had on my zj for a 3 years now
I share your frustration. We get total twats over here that smash up perfectly good body panels and parts because they're impatient or don't have the right tools. What winds me up especially are those that rip up dash boards ruining plastic parts that are reusable just to access some electrical component. That was a good find at the end, those acorn nuts look ok but are a real pain to work with.
Dang that one Jeep you were talking about the Center Console Latch being Broke, I want the seats out of it! Can't find seats down here in NC, especially one I need to replace the Drivers Seat... One day I will find the the rest of what I need with out having to buy brand new. And that Atlas Bag looks pretty frigging slick I like it!
Dang, I can't imagine trying to keep a 90's Jeep on the road without the yard we have up here in the north east. Respect for making it work down there in NC
@D&E Garage - Use a pool noodle for a cushion for that Atlas Tool Roll.
Damn... that is a really good suggestion. Thanks!
I need them fog light connectors off the jeep u took the tires off of
Yea, I usually pull XJ fog lights, relay, and switch, but I missed them until I watched the videos later. They are a good pull
I have factory fog lights but don’t have the lights Po removed them an add to use the switch for my leds
Was that Vinces?
Perhaps :-)
What impact drill are you using?
That is the DeWalt 18v. Highly recommend!
My xj center console tab is broke lol.
Ditch that stock transfer case linkage and get yourself a boostwerks linkage system my tc shifts so much better
I like the idea, but this isnt that Jeep. haha. this is my $1200 beater plow jeep, so it gets the cheapest parts available, but I have been looking at upgraded linkages for my lifted WJ. Thanks for the suggestion!
I’m looking for a 3inch lift for a 91 jeep xj can you please help me
8:00 the 97 and 98 jeep Cherokee keyless fob I can never find, y'all found that one and a jeep with good fog lights i cant find any good parts here in NC
That is a bummer. The yards here in NJ, PA, and NY are stocked full of Jeeps
@Finn Malloy That is a good point. If it weren't for the salt rust most of those Jeeps would still be on the road I guess
Hey guys, hope you and your loved ones had a VERY Merry Christmas, well I own a 73' DJ-5 and am looking for a few miscellaneous parts(interior) so if you could help a guy out PLEEEASE, God knows I could use it!! LOL, Thanks!!
Felipe L.
Houston,Tx.
What are you looking for? If we ever come across it we can try to acquire it and get it to you..
Excellent!!! Where is this yard?
Thanks yard is in Upstate, NY
why do you not like impacts?
I have just seen a lot of stuff get messed up because someone was lazy and careless with an impact. I guess I do not dislike them, I just dislike how much we rely on them
Anybody know what Milwaukee tool that is? 13:21 I have been looking for impact driver like that and wouldn't mind knowing what one it is!!
It is the Milwaukee 1/4" impact ratchet. Pretty nice little tool for taking some of the time out of disassembly. Not a ton of power, but it is meant for speed, not power to break bolts loose.

why are you there looking for stock linkage? just buy the novak linkage...
It is a $1200 plow Jeep so it does not make sens to spend that much on the linkage. I ended up getting just the bushing from Quadratec for $4
The only way I would buy a liberty is of it was the CRD.
I would do awful things to get a CRD ANYTHING in the states... The "WG" is the diesel WJ they got over seas.... I'd kill for one...
@@DEInTheGarage
We got the CRD liberty in the states for only a few years. They are very rare. I think I want a 2 door xj but if I come across a CRD liberty then I will get that.
We also got the WK1 with the Benz CRD (only in the upper end models) but they are also rare. Now we have the WK2, JT, and JLU Ecodiesels coming. The Grand Cherokee Diesels would be nice but are a little out of my price range compared to the liberty so I would get the liberty even though I think it is hideous.
@@DEInTheGarage
There is currently 40 diesel Liberty Crds in the USA that is detected by CarGurus:

If you need a shoulder cushion get a seat belt cushion out of a car in the junkyard.
My clip isnt broken the top of the glove box is though
Interesting... So it wont stay closed?
The ugly liberty took place of the XJ Cherokee
Yea, outside of North America, the Liberty is actually called the Cherokee. it is just a continuation of the line.
Quite the fail IMO, don't care for the Liberty at all.
How the fuck does it weigh less it's the exact same tools
