Remember the scene in "Look Who's Talking" in which Kirstie Alley is dangling from the clock? I knew that I had seen a clip of an old movie like that but couldn't think of where! Those guys were really brave and bold!
Loved watching Harold Lloyd as a kid they use to show them every Saturday morning along with laurel and Hardy and buster keyton the three stooges key stone cops great to see the locations of Harold Lloyd films how they are now
Was born and raised in L.A., know the streets by heart, especially Tinsel Town. You do a great job at sharing these locations. Keep up the great work, it's a nostalgic breath of fresh air.
I am so delighted by this video and your obvious respect for Harold Lloyd!!! I did want to clarify for you that the stunt work in Safety Last was done by Bill Strother, who played Limpy Bill in the film, and doubled as Harold in all the long shots. Harvey Parry did the stunt work in Feet First (1930). This mixup had been rampant for a long time, but has been debunked. (And, as one who did get to the roof of 908 S. Broadway, I can say the view is inspiring!) Thank you so much for doing this video blog segment for Harold!!!!
+Annette Lloyd I was really surprised it wasn't Harvey Perry because I saw an interview with him where he said he did the stunts, but it very easily could have been taken out of context for the wrong film. Thank you for clarifying

Great vlog, I'm definitely going to checkout "Safety Last" as soon as I can. You must spend hours researching, love the detail history in each and every vlog. Great work as usual.
Actually, despite the fact there was a platform with a twin size mattress, if Harold had fallen and hadn't hit that mattress just right, he would of bounced off and fallen below to his death. They did bounce a mannequin that was the same weight as Harold off of that mattress. It bounced off and landed on the street. Harold looked down, and said, "Let's shoot!" Gotta love Harold! :)
The bird shot was funi. Im alwayz amazed at hw they shot films in those times. The set up on the building is scary. Guess they say what u dnt knw dnt hurt. (Dunno bout that). Was that The Duke tellin u smethin.?
I remember watching every pitch of every game of the 88 World Series and an injured Gibson doing the impossible! Still don’t know how that specific A’s team lost not only lost the 88 World Series but the 90 World Series as well! Their starting roster was intimidating!
Is the beard for your new head shots? I for one would like to see a scruffy, sinister Jordan or a real dead beat druggie. Can you do heavier moods? now I see you as the best friend or guy loses girl fellow. You have so much to give. huggs, silky
