I got this issue on my Windows 11 PC where I was not able to set up my PIN and neither I was getting the Login with Microsoft Password option.
I fixed the problem in just one attempt and that is exactly what I am sharing in this video.

Passwordless in the example on the screen is the only item out of alphabetical order. That seems strange. It isn’t there on my registry either, like so many others are saying in these comments, nor is it in the position where it would be if it were in alphabetical order. Why would it be somewhere else and not where Shabaz Ahmad shows it to be in his presentation? As a result of this, the video is no help to me. I don’t understand why some people find it very helpful, unless they have different systems somehow. Also, it isn’t clear where they are finding this Paswordless item, and there seem to be more differences on that. Very confusing.

The video creator should consider options of all users. Maybe he has done some settings in his pc and that is why Passwordless shows up.
Even my laptop doesn't show the option of "Passwordless"

Why does it keep on telling me error? It’s not installing windows 10 whenever I press on it. It just says error. Reset the computer. Please tell me what to do.

The problem is whenever I go to troubleshoot problems i only get startup settings and uefi firmware settings help!!!!
Bro.. For me. It's Windows 11 but not sure if its the most recent Version but Holding Shift while Pressing Restart doesn't give me COMMAND PROMPT. It''s just giving me some typical Options and SAFE MODE, USB but there is no COMMAND PROMPT option coming for me. And If I boot into SAFE MODE, again it's stuck on this same PIN and SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOUR PIN Screen.
Mind you. I am using Dual Boot. My main OS is running on an NVME and it's my primary OS. Its running fine.. I am trying to recover the OS of my another SSD and if I boot from my Primary Windows 11 Boot Manager, it does give me COMMAND PROMPT but then again, it's counting that COMMAND PROMPT RECOVER ENVIRONMENT for my main NVME Win 11 OS.. I want the COMMAND PROMPT RECOVER ENVIRONMENT for my secondary SSD Win 11 OS. I did multiple guides. I even tried enabling local ADMIN account but it turned out to have enable it for my Primary NVME Win 11 which has no issues at all...

I have the problem that after choosing "command prompt" it restarts and open again in a page where it ask me to log into microsoft account assosciated with the windows. However I do not have the password for this account. How can omve around this issue?

So I tryed this but couldn't I tried going to bios and found my settings have been reset i'm sure pin uses TPM to work at least on W11 anyway on my AMD motherboard I enabled it again and secure boot and now it worked let me put pin in
After choosing command prompt it's saying please wait and showing option to choose an account to continue

In my own case, my computer asked me to wait for two hours cos the pin and password will be enabled at the said hour and it worked.

Very late, but boot an media usb and use command prompt in it. You will be able to use regedit by going in your x: folder
I just did this, But it appears the "Passwordless" is now missing from the registry. Found a post where someone asked microsoft about this and they say to disable Windows Hello.. but then you still have to use your name + password.. I'm just trying to fix my pin not working after a BIOS update.
@Kylo Zen I think it fixed itself, like it did it once before. the fix account pop-up, I think I hit exit or cancel a few times and eventually I let me progress to the next page. But after my pin was working I still had some account issues, but I think it was to do with my 2nd microsoft account so I just reset the password on that now everythings fine. just try disable windows hello and reset account stuff.

When I press the shift key and hit restart my laptop just restarts and goes back to the same page that’s says my pin isn’t available…. It doesn’t give me the troubleshooting options.

@@manuel8183 This is very late, the issue is fixed now though, i didnt have a restore point so i used a usb drive with a windows install, used cmd prompt to rename cmd into utilman, got in that way

When I choose command prompt it says command promt..large letters..then "you need to sign in as administrator to continue, but there aren't any administrator accounts on this PC.

HELP the process stops me when I need to enter msoftware. I receive an error message that this is already in use. There is also no file named passwordless?
It worked for me but not the way was supposed to, te pin didn’t just desapear, but windows gave me the chance to login with password, btw password less didn’t appear, but I managed to find it with the gel of Lucas Furtado’s comment.
Bro in my windows, the advanced options option isn't coming, it is only showing startup settings after clicking on the troubleshoot tab. PLS HELPPP

I'm stuck! Someone please help. The computer is a Cyberpowerpc gaming computer and when I do the shift and restart I get the blue screen and click troubleshoot. After that I only have option for "startup settings" and under it "UEFI Firmware Settings" , that's it. No advanced options so I can get to command prompt. I'm stuck. Nothing has been working. I can't click on pin setup, nothing happens. Cant login with password. I cant get passed the login screen. Locked out of my own pc 😭

@@parkourDariusGamer when I was setting up my computer it asked me for a pin (Microsoft) and I wrote it somewhere, when I tried to put that Pin it’s 5 numbers it worked. So try to look for your Microsoft pin if you remember it or maybe you wrote it somewhere

I don't get the same options as you, I get a list of numbers and have chosen 6) Enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt. It goes to safe mode but it still searches for my pin, which has miraculously disappeared. Any ideas???

@@tratotrail i had to remove the drive windows was installed on, and reinstall it with an usb on my other drive to get it to work

create the folders by right clicking and click new key and then create the keys. Give them the same names as the guys pc.
