Girl. Lol! Loving your channel. I’m 40 yrs old and pulled a 48’ flatbed cross country and Canada for 5 yrs. I quit a year ago. You make me miss it. I’m planning on getting back in a truck soon. Tarpin is a bitch sometimes but those EASY days are great. The tough ones are rewarding at the end of the day, though. You’ve got a great attitude, makes me smile. Keep it up and keep doing things correctly as you have been. See you out there soon!
Hey Tammie I highly recommend having some cargo light, also around your head and several around your waist. In the dark we get disorientated and lose fear of height especially windy condition . Long season hours is a problem on a farm, injury not wanted . I know a lady who fell on slippery ice twisted both knees a year ago walking today still in pain may have surgery STAY SAFE
I was carrying the plastic steps when I fell.I couldn't see the ground even if I had light.I have the head lamps. When I fell I wasn't thinking about that stuff. The lights on my cargo rack I did turn them on at one point. You'll see they didn't help.
@@TruckerTrashTammie aww Your cargo light way to low put them way up on outside cab , my cargo light are up on my mirrors easy to see turning and backing your cargo rack light just blinding you
man becarefull i broke my ankle on a friday after noon in tha middle of no where kentuccy, no help within 100 miles. i had to take my shirt and tie my ankle up best i cud. finish throwin my strap and drive to try and find a way to a hospital. i cudnt get a damn uber from any where...ended up delivery my load on monday and goin home for a while...still fucced up to this day. got to be carefull and watch tha ground.
That place you loaded looks like a disaster waiting to happen. I hope it wasn't as dark as it looked for you to finish strapping and tarping. Thanks for bringing us along
That yard sure was trashy. Thats because the employees & especially the bosses have no pride in their work nor their company. Good housekeeping is essential to worker safety. !
When I saw the title that you fell, thought it was off the trailer or load. Looks like your feet got wrapped up in straps. Better than falling from the top of the load
@@TruckerTrashTammie GOOD IDEA we also crawl supposed to be a 2 person in windy condition in open area. we use pay loader with a square hay bale to lift my 86 yld dad 13 ft up on top of hay load putting all straps. we no longer using ladders unsafe no more darkness except mirror cargo lights and loader lights we do some 20 loads or more a year
Yes that place looked like it was just an accident waiting to happen would hate to be there in the rain all that dirt you would be mud from head to toe
Wow, I’m not in the industry, but those lighting conditions (the complete lack of) are obviously atrocious. I’ll further guess there’s no good way to fix it - a good shipper/receiver would install yard lighting. A bad shipper would not and if complained about would decide to only load in daylight which is cheaper for them, but a disadvantage to drivers. Yuck.
When the night shift guy came in he turned on some generator powered light.I was almost done by then.If it's the thought that counts he thought about it.
Hope your leg is ok ...my you guys certainly earn your money on flatbeds but you look like you enjoy it .....take care hun and give roxy a cuddle and a biscuit from me hehe

I googled it said 24 hours for stitches.I couldn't find an open urgent care that stitched.I delivered the load then went.
An ankle break is much worse than what I did.

It was pretty dark. When I fell I wasn't even thinking about getting my headlamp out.I wanted to cry.It was rough
@@TruckerTrashTammie I hope you weren't hurt badly. I'm surprised they didn't have a lighted area for you to tie down and tarp
What a crappie place , hope you're OK...Need Lights
The lights on my truck dont really help when you're taller than them.I think in the next part I have a clip with them on.

The office is upfront around the corner. They don't see what's going on.It's everywhere so few people take pride in thier job.

exactly what i was thinking
I haven't fallen off the trailer. Im real careful up there.I crawl alot up there to minimize the risk of stepping off.

For future never take damaged product from anyone. You don't know what's damaged in Middle of stack or what but they will blame you 😮😮
I just send pics into Prime. They handle the rest.My butt is covered. One of the perks of driving for a big company.
Does it say it has to be tarp on the bills of laden
I was paid to tarp.
Yes that place looked like it was just an accident waiting to happen would hate to be there in the rain all that dirt you would be mud from head to toe
Oh geez I didn't think about that. Im gonna make a mental note of that. People were nice. I would go back

2 👍👍 up beautiful stay safe out there 🤞💕🥾🇺🇸🍼🐶🐕🦴🍗🍀🚛
You should buy your own trailer and you can put on a couple of tarp boxes. Hell with that throwing tarps up and down that rack.
I don't have to get the blue out alot.Latley I have.Must be punishment for back talking :)
dirty yard, poor manager.
Even the office parking upfront is dirt. The rent is probably cheaper.

I say can't complain on this shipper, some yard strict condition and nonsense safety and less pay try to adapt
