- A full installation video on fitting an Auto-vox rear view mirror reversing camera with a built-in dashcam.
These can be found on Amazon and eBay, and the one in the video is a V5 model. In a few weeks, I believe they will be releasing a UK Pro model, that does not require a rearview mirror to attach to. It will contain the mounting arm that is already part of the back mirror screen.

OMG can’t believe I found this, I’m in the middle of installing this very cam in the same van, you’ve helped me route the final power wire to the fuse box, never even heard of a piggy back fuse, wow, excellent makes it much easier, Ive got the cam wire to the back but struggling how to route to the door & remove the lock mechanism to expose the screw to drop out the rear section to mount the camera, looking forward to finishing the job now, thank you so much for posting this.😊
You can thread the wire through the rubber tube that connects the door wiring to the body. Bit of a faff but can be done with some stiff wire or metal coat hanger if you can find one 🤣 good luck with the install 👍🏻

Nice . Fuse 19 I should of watched your video before fitting my own . I fitted a 12v relay from the cigarette lighter power . You not keeper your old camera in to head unit , for reversing to see the bumper .

how much spare cable did you have left when routing the reverse camera as I have a tailgate VW T5 and wondering if I need to buy the extension cable or not?
Was a while ago, but I’m think there was still quiet a bit left coiled up.
i was stupid enough to buy the autovox pro v5. i need to put their two piggyback fuses in my t5 fuse box. one for acc and one for live. ive emailed the company and they told me to get it professionally fitted !!! strewth !!! im sending it back. waste of 200 quid as far as im concerned. i was hoping to see how you fitted two piggyback fuses into your fuse box. never mind. its going back for sure
Hi the permanent live is only for the bump sensor if memory recalls and is not needed. In the location I fitted my piggy back fuse, there are switched live and permanent live mini blade fuses. You test which is what and pull the fuse then stick in the piggy back block and put fuse back in.
@@AXISUK yes, bit the two piggybacks won't fit in the middle row of fuse box so got to find another location
@@YobboCat is the piggy back adapter you have a mini or big fuse adapter?
@@AXISUK mini. I've just found a 7.5 amp in the lower fuse section, so I guess I'll be trying that then .....

Hi woody if you Google Vw switched live fuses, it will show you what others can be used.
