Dustdust Heartless Monsters:
At the end of the Dusttale route Sans is killed and the timeline is reset. After this Sans apparently remembers everything from the previous timeline and is distraught with everything. For him he believes he can't go back but can't win. This puts him in a depressive state where he repeats his actions and gains higher LV but loses most of his determination and all of his patience. Phantom Papyrus is supposed to mock Sans about his actions bringing back trauma of the last run meanwhile Phantom Toriel does the opposite and rationalizes all of Sans' actions. In the Dusttale timeline Sans' LV was at 14, now it's LV 20.

It's cool the way all the different themes blend into Sans's echoing theme. It's like all the guilt and anger the others represent fuse into his mind and get stuck in a loop
