Totally had my attention until he mentioned a minstrel show. As a Black Female Potter focusing on wheel thrown ceramics it’s saddening to be faced with barriers simply because of my skin and my gender. Maybe cut that clip out...!? I’ll definitely be looking for instructions on techniques to further my 10+ years of wheel experience and firing techniques elsewhere. Smh!
Wow! i’m ten minutes in and i was noticing some subtle anti asian sentiment so i went to the comments to see if anyone else was noticing and i saw urs and skipped to the part you mentioned and i am blown away. i am studying ceramics in school and a lot of these potters are really bad people. Paul soldner even attempted to assault one of my teachers. i am sad to see this side of tom
