A few weeks behind on transcriptions! Been enjoying writing out and playing through this version of Iracema played by Mattis Cederberg. Such a beautiful relaxing song greatly arranged for bass trombone here with the WDR Big Band.

I usually don't like bass trombone solos, but this is just beautiful.

I am not a fan of soloing on bass trombone because its harder to cut through in the lower range than in the upper, I prefer my tenor trombone for soloing, but I will say when these solos hit, they hit, and there isn't much not to love about a good bassbone solo
