Easy Homemade Pizza

For the steak and cheddar scone cobbler :
700g diced stew steak
oil for frying
flour to coat steak
1 large onion, diced
handful mushrooms, sliced
4 carrots, chopped
2.sticks celery,sliced
Veg of choice
1.tbsp garlic puree
1.tbsp tomato puree
Worcestershire sauce
800-900ml beef stock
1tbsp wholegrain mustard
1 tsp heaped, marmite
1/2 tsp celery salt
1 tsp garlic pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1tsp basil
Salt and black pepper
for the cheddar scones.
200g plain flour
11/2 tbsp baking powder
80g grated cheddar,cold
70g butter,diced,cold
2.tbsp parsley
just enough milk to combine
Store in refrigerator, wrapped
Oil for hasselback potatoes :
Oil
Parsley
Salt and black pepper
Dried garlic powder
Onion powder

Sorry you are down with the sniffles. Hope you feel better soon. I know the garden isn't your thing but really - didn't even know he was growing potatoes. Ha, ha! Casserole came out nice. I should do Hasselback potatoes soon. Cooler weather here but no rain for a while. I need to get the garden "put to bed". I've had it, only tomato plant with tomatoes left got trashed by deer. They ruined my mini-roses too. Not a leaf left. Take care!! Hi from Oregon US.

Ohhh yummy! You did all that while being under the weather as well. I feel lazy, but I'm going to try and do this. I seem to have an off again on again cold for the last couple of months. It's starting to get cold where I am at as well here outside Seattle, WA. We have been getting drizzly rain and occasionally a hot day. Thank you Hailey for sharing your cooking abilities with all of us. I enjoy seeing recipes made and I like to try them as well and this looked fabulous! Just perfect for the chill in the air.
Keep wrapped Up warm Hun, I do like the cold rainy weather myself, just not the bugs that come with the cold weather lol let me know if you liked it xx
Do you feel like it’s worth growing stuff for Christmas when in all the supermarkets the veg is practically given away at that time of year? Must admit, I grew some spuds this year that you couldn’t get in the supermarket, they were really lovely - but don’t know if I’d have bothered with anything that I could buy cheaper.
It's more the pleasure of growing your own, known that everything you've grown is because you took care of it.
If I buy a pack of seeds 1.50, I can probably get beans to last all season, same for carrots, parsnips etc etc
Plus, doesn't hurt my kids to learn how to grow for themselves x

Aah Hailey sorry your not well. You did great though to even cook a meal from scratch when probably all you wanted to do was lie down. That casserole looks so nice. At school ( many many years ago in cookery class) we mafe a cobbler was minced beef with veg in gravy then scones on the top was very nice but yours nicer like that it's it's casserole & the cheesy 🧀 scones. Going to give this a go but maybe use chicken instead, only cos i prefer chicken ( or pork) to beef. Love hasslebzck potatoes they just look so fancy but not a lot of effort really.
I've done the minced beef cobbler on here 😁that's good too. Pork maybe better I think, more meaty tasting, don't know if that made sense outside my own head lol
