  • Finally, back in the water! First dive of 2023 and we couldn't have had better conditions. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this little adventure of scuba diving Lauderdale By The Sea. We start the dive with a short swim to the exclusion buoy and drop down near the canons and follow the snorkel trail. We head North East until we get to Anglin's Pier. From the pier we head East to the first reef, and follow our way South until we turn back West to head in.

It is crazy that the pier is still like that

@@andresmoves I’m fairly sure the pier is privately owned, and I don’t think they have the funds to fix it.

I grew up diving all along there! Sad to see what it looks like now! We use to park in vacant lot south of Old Jade Hotel and do beach dives after school! Those were the days man! Lauderdale by the sea was a sleepy lil beach town in those days. Many a great day spent on Anglins pier! Nice Vid,thanks for the memories. 😎🤙

Except that there's nothing like Bonaire...drift diving was pretty good in CZ (did my OW with Dressel there, just so I could dive in Bonaire). Cozumel was a 5-6/10 if Bonaire is a 10..

Well now I know what it looks like to be under / near the pier, that pesky sign telling divers to stay away from it always stopped me!

I’d just be careful of the fishing lines down there.

I thought ft.lauderdale was the fishing capital of the world? Barely any fish and lots of dead coral...😢

I'd like to know how much Coral was destroyed by you're dangling gauges dragging and fins striking the coral. you guys are way too low in the water column and you guys shouldn't be touching stuff either.
