High Point is like this except for two weeks out of the year when they have the international furniture market that's when the downtown looks like a little New York with people all up and down the streets there trying to change it with the new baseball stadium all them buildings are show rooms for the furniture market that's why it looks like a ghost town where the stadium is there making it into a entertainment and wrk district year round and residential area so the downtown can be a normal year around live ,play, and wrk

Thanks for the information. Sounds like they are on the right track with the entertainment district. You have a great stadium there.

@@TimothyFrench, during furniture market, all hotels and homes are rented out to the folks who come in to buy furniture. Some friends I know make enough money in two weeks by renting out their home to pay their house payment for the year. They go on vacation for those two weeks. Come back during furniture market and see what this town is really like. And going on behind the scenes is furniture being made. I grew up here and my dad made a good amount of money selling office furniture. You just didn't do this town much credit with this report. There is far more to it. And High Point College is incredible. You missed a lot of good spots and the whole story of HP.

@@TimothyFrench There is a lot of multimillionaires in the pretty neighborhoods you are missing. They all know when to be downtown.

He’s in the furniture district. Most of these places are closed year round except for twice of year when the Furniture Market comes to town. We have thousands of people come from all over the world to buy and sell furniture. But in general, this area is usually dry. The rest of the city has a lot more action.
