Buddy you need to come to Belize to actually try it properly. For example the garnaches here in Belize is not served with parmesan cheese nor with a tomatoe sauce. In belize it is served with dry white cheese and actual chicken

I feel like you could have had better garnaches. Instead of salsa it should have been shredded cabbage with vinegar and black pepper. I also think you’d enjoy salbutes! Glad you enjoyed the food!

Yes that’s definitely a different take on garnaches
I was surprised my first time I went to Lil Belize and discovered they use salsa vs cabbage on garnaches. I'm originally from Orange Walk and we use cabbage. I was trying to figure out what region of Belize uses this salsa variation. They do give you "onion sauce" (which is what they call it), which is chopped onions soaked in vinegar, salt, and finely minced habanero pepper.
You should come to Belize and have a full time eating here food can't done .......hit me up.

You are so lucky to have found ''little Belize' restaurant. Looks amazing, must be the best, purely athentic Belizean food you can find anywhere, this looks so good. Enjoying your trip through Central America and no need to travel I did fly over the Belizean archipelago. Hold onto your napkin, that must be the sea breeze off the Caribbean.
I love little Belize in Inglewood their food is just absolutely magical I always ordered oxtail plate tamales tart and my mimosa. Yay I can finally see the kitchen 😊😁 Glad you enjoyed the food I wish you had a chance to experience the belizean Independence Day festival they have right on that same street usually every September of course before the corona. Always lots of fun

This will be my second or third time using one of your videos in class. The kids' favorite part of class is usually learning about the food, and I typically can only use the Kids Try series. When I get to countries that Kids Try hasn't covered yet, it's nearly impossible to find anything appropriate for children. Nice video man. My friend is from Belize and I travel there yearly. Next time try “escabeche” which is a sour chicken soup and also another good one is “pigtail. And and don’t forget to try “fryjacks” which are basically like Navajo fry bread. Fry jacks are probably the most Belizean thing I can think of besides “Belikin” which is their beer.

Well, Belize is a diverse country and has a mix of cultures. This is why I love my country so much!!
Pretty much all Central American countries have some similarities in their cuisine....some like the fried plantains, rice with beans, yuca...it’s just certain foods.

I've been watching a lot of your videos of Central American food and the dishes have many similarities. The rice and beans. The tamales. The yuca with chicharron. Our cuisines are very similar.
