Well, you talked me into the red KJV so now my bank account is lighter. Watching the best YT channel isn't the cheapest way to spend time. Great Video keep them coming! GOD Bless
The non-index version of this is my everyday reading Bible. I own RL allan, Schyler, Cambridge, ect and it's still my favorite over all those. The leather is so soft and "squishy", the Bible is great, the bottom margin helps are usually very helpful.
I’ve got an R L Allan NASB SCR in the red goatskin. It is a deep cherry red. Really beautiful. Hope TN goes for more red and also deep green covers. I love the Premier Collection - all of mine are exquisite - and this one is indexed!!! ❤❤❤. What more could we want? 🤔🧐 Ah, yes, another translation! NKJV, NASB 95 (of course) even the NET.
Just bought it. Convinced me on the index. $59 difference but I got it anyway. And I love the font they use for the headings. That’s why I LOVE THE NASB Comfort print.
Nice I have this in brown genuine leather because I saw it on your channel but this red is 🔥🔥👀 I actually LOVE the inside, it’s a great readable reference Bible. I love the single column KJV 😁
I have the red goatskin. The feel of this is so nice, the paper is great. This is the first single column I've ever owned. I'm struggling a little with tracking the longer lines. Also, I find the text is in the gutter a little too much for my liking.
Has anyone done a video on the business of Bible publishing and why, for example, we don’t see zondervan/Nelson publishing certain translations, most conspicuously the ESV? (I would love to see a premier collection ESV!!)
Basically, translations are owned by certain publishers. ESV is owned by Crossway, NKJV by Nelson, NIV by Zondervan, NASB by Lockman, NLT by Tyndale, CSB by Holman etc. KJV is public domain in the US so it can be used by any publisher. When publishers use a translation outside ones they specifically own and translated they have to secure the copyrights to do it. Nelson and Zondervan have both printed some ESV but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to do it regularly because they both own translations they can print without paying.
I bought the Nelson KJV single column red goatskin bible and just started reading (my first time reading the bible) and I noticed in Genesis 1:27 it says "... God created he him; male and female created he them." And my question is has the bible (specifically KJV) always been written like this with the pronouns or is this a new thing in modern made bibles?
@anickelsworthbiblereviews okay sweet, I just didn't want the feeling of my Bible being manipulated and changed for the sake of today's society. I want God's word.
Excellent review Tim. Thank you for bringing these Bibles to my attention. I would love to get my hands on that blue thinline but I can't find it on Christianbook. Do you have an affiliate link to it you can share?
Does this have the typo problems the new KJV with APOCRYPHA has? (the two know typos on the KJV with APOCRYPHA by Thomas nelson) At Wisdom 5.14 the word 'ungodly' has been replaced by 'Godly.' So where the original KJV read, 'For the hope of the ungodly is like dust that is blown away with the wind,' this edition has, 'For the hope of the Godly is like dust that is blown away with the wind.' A similar error occurs at Ecclesiasticus 11.17. Where the original KJV reads, 'The gift of the Lord remaineth with the godly,' the recent Nelson edition has, 'The gift of the Lord remaineth with the ungodly.'
You also may have saw the video where I complained that the indexes had too many books listed in each one rendering them useless. But I even had an indexed bible rebound. It’s all about how they are done.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Oh, I see. I recently purchased the Thomas Nelson end-of-verse NKJV in blue leathersoft with the Jerusalem Cross on the cover after seeing your review. I purchased the one with indexes and they are very well done. I also have a Cambridge Concord in black calfskin with indexes. Both are great Bibles. Thanks, Tim.
Hey Tim! Quick question please (I think I'm going to buy this...) Is it a concern that the writing feeds into the gutter of the Bible? Especially when in the middle of the bible for example, is that a concern you believe? Definitely looks like they should not have gone that deep inside.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thanks Tim (my name is also Tim). Did you find the red to be annoyingly bright? Seems it pops off too much? Is it as bright as the camera portrays?
@fanatical56 Hi Tim! As a rule I prefer black letter, however the Comfort Print red letter is among the best. I’d say Cambridge does it better but that’s about it.
Why on earth would the read letters of Jesus bother somebody? Must be a problem with that person as opposed to with Jesus' words and/or that person is not truly saved!
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews You said some people out there have an issue with the words of Jesus in Red letter. Soooo, that's bad on them. I think it's important to have that in the new testament and I am grateful it is like that!
@TheGreatPanicker for most it is a readability issue. Red bothers a lot of people’s eyes. Also the print consistency in red is difficult. Red letters is a very modern invention. Again, do a little research.
Glad to hear someone express what I’ve been thinking about contrast perimeter stitching. Would take the covers of some Bibles to the next level.

Same! What a blessing
That's a serious contender now! I had my eye on this one, absolutely beautiful bible! I'm glad you made a video about it.

Very nice bibles. Thank you for the review and comparison Tim.
Ordered mine today. So excited to get it! Great review brother! ❤🙏🏻
I really hope they make this exact bible in the NKJV.
I think they already do...

As long as you don't use the NKJV or the KJVer, this is how it reads and it's correct!!!
Excellent review Tim. Thank you for bringing these Bibles to my attention.

It’s a limited edition. There aren’t any more left.

On that red bible you show off, is there a super giant print version with 16 or 17 point type? Thanks.
No.
That's a gorgeous Bible, Tim. But I thought you didn't like indexes?
You probably saw the video I did where the indexes were poorly cut.

No concern whatsoever. The text is actually well out of the gutter. Even a small margin space.

@fanatical56 It is similar ish to the firebrick red from Schuyler. A few shades brighter, but not fire engine.

That’s sort of an ignorant take on the issue. I’d do some research.
