Welcome back, Katie, I've missed your creative and inspiring podcasts, but be sure to take care of yourself (and Posey, Emrys, Roly and, and , and....) first and we (your followers) will see you when we see you.
I have missed you so much as someone who has had mental illness for most of my life I was drawn to your channel when I first started watching podcasts I have watched ever episode you ever put up just because your bubbly personality makes me feel better. I am so glad everything worked out for you and that you are healthy and happy and back with us.
I learned a lot. Great podcast. I gave birth to three daughters , the oldest of which just turned 40. I am a librarian and three of our daughters are also librarians. It’s a great profession and one I enjoyed very much. Glad you’re back. Looking forward to following you when time permits.
Katie, so wonderful to see you come back. Babies are an awful lot of wonderful work, aren't they? Podcast when you can, and don't when you can't. It's your life and your show. Do what is best for you and your FAMILY. Much love.
Bless your heart! Birth story! My water broke first after having to have had an exam by the doc. Water broke in the car on my way home. Then I get me stuff together and get to the hospital. After 16 hours of hard labor (contractions horrible!!!), I was still only at 4cm dilation so had to have a c-section. I’ve always regretted my having to have had a section instead of vaginal birth, but at the time, it was such a relief just to get the baby out and get rid of the pain. Now this was all way back 1982!!! I don’t think I’ll ever forget that pain! Anyway so great to see you!
Your birth story is so like mine (many years go now). I am so glad you have the courage and the platform to share your story. Nobody tells you about these things when you’re pregnant. I know it only happens to a ‘select’ few of us - but maybe sharing your story and letting people know you can get through it (though it doesn’t seem like it when you’re in the middle of it) can help others. You did this in a very dignified way. Well done you - respect 👍👏
Welcome back you were very much missed. Congratulations on new baby and career. Enjoy this new phase of your life looking forward to hearing from you monthly. All the best.
Sooooo very glad to see you back. Happy to accept graciously any content you create, whenever you can. Take care of yourself and your wonderful family. Xx 💕
Ahh! SO happy to see your lovely face pop up on my RUclips feed again! I've missed you, Lady! I'm So glad you're doing well. Can't wait to check out your new podcast with Emrys!! Sending lots of hugs!!! 💖💖💖
Welcome back Katie, you’ve sure been missed, but after all you’ve been through I’m glad you’re alive and everything’s going better again, take care, looking forward to January. ❤️
soooo good to see and hear you again. shared some tears and laughter when you talked about your birth story....looking forward to your new format. All the best
Welcome back. What a hard time you had with your labour. So glad you are all doing well now though. I look forward to your podcasts in the new year. You most definitely should look after you and your family first but it's still lovely to have you back on RUclips. X
Oh my goodness Katie...how have I only just discovered your channel? Talk about late to the party 🤦♀️. It's lovely to hear you talking so openly about your experience as a first time parent...it really resonated with me. My daughter is 4 now but I can still vividly remember all the challenges, ups and downs of those early days. It's tricky to find a balance between being mum and being you but I'm sure you'll get there...I know I've found a good balance now although it took a while. Looking forward to following your journey. Big hugs 😘
I am so glad you and baby are fine! What a difficult experience! One of the most helpful things that we did in child birth class was to write down the worst thing that could happen in the birth experience along with our ideal birth experience. I think when you imagine what the worst possible thing that could happen, it makes you much more thankful and accepting of a less than ideal birth. I am happy for you and your family!
You are so strong. So strong. What an amazing mother Posey has. Your birth story is intense, and your generosity in sharing it is important and inspiring. Thank You for sharing your time with us with this podcast. You are loved by so many, and for good reason. It’s such a treat to see your podcast again, and to know you may be back monthly soon. When my son was younger, I had time for watching only one or two podcasts, and yours was my first and most necessary. I can’t wait to check out your/Emrys’ audio podcast! 🧡
Welcome back Katie! I nearly fell off my chair when I saw you had made a video, it was lovely to see you after all this time. Of course all the Mothers and Fathers out there would know you were busy! Lol....
What a joyful surprise to see your podcast today!! I'm probably older than your Mum, but I have enjoyed watching you on RUclips for the last couple of years. Love your take on sewing and knitting and you helped me rekindle the flame to pick them both up again. I am sorry that you had such a difficult delivery. I had a similar experience 40 years ago (Yikes!!!). The bottom line is your are fine and your baby is fine. How very fortunate we are to have such great medical care so that even when it goes all wrong, we still get a good outcome. Keep sharing your great energy and authentic self with the world. It matters.
Hi Katie lovely to see you back. I had cholestasis in pregnancy too. I didnt experience with my first two but did my last two pregnancies. I had it for 2 months with my son and he had to be delivered at 34 weeks. He was fine after a night in oxygen. I was closely monitored with my youngest. Everything went well up to 30 weeks when I had to have emergency cesarean. Grace was in the baby unit for a month but is now 19 and studying fine art at uni. So glad all ended well for you all too. ❤
I am so glad you are back, missed you very much. And I am happy that you are happy and everything is alright with you and your little girl. Can't wait until January to see you again regularly.
This is my first visit to your RUclips channel. I enjoyed your sharing. Concerning your job...things happen for a reason. You may find yourself in a better place. Congrats on your daughter, Posie.
Welcome back it's so good to see you. You look great! I'm glad you are enjoying being a mom yes parenthood is one of the best jobs a person can have. I'm also glad you are enjoying your new job. I know how enjoyable working in a library can be. I was an assistant librarian while I was in college. I can't believe it's been almost a year where has the time gone? You are looking great! I'm glad that you and Posie are doing well even though your birthing experience was not what you planned. It never goes as planned; I have had three children each birth was a different amazing experience, but none of them went as planned. Enjoy all the little moments with Posie because they grow up too fast. My youngest just turned 29 years old this month and I feel like it was only yesterday that I was holding him in my arms. Glad you are back once a month podcasts are fine with me because you spending time with your family is more important.
Hi Katie. So lovely to see you back, and congratulations on becoming a mum to little Posy! Things do change, and a new chapter begins, sounds like you are embracing that challenge, and looking forward, good for you! Looking forward to catching up with you each month. Take care.
I'm glad you shared your birth story. I also had a birth which did not go "as planned" and I think it is important for expectant mothers to hear about these challenges and the resulting happy endings. I will gleefully enjoy any content you create and wish you and yours the best.
WELCOME BACK! YAY! You have been missed. Thank you for sharing your birth story. I'm sorry it was so difficult, but glad you and baby are doing well. Looking forward to your monthly podcasts. Family first! Congratulations and welcome back.
I completely understand that you needed time. An emergency C-section can be quite traumatic. I remember bursting into tears at random intervals after mine for about a year. It will pass.
Oh you are awesome! I loved listening to your birth story. What you went through, you are so strong! I also love your audio podcast venture. Looking forward to more installments. Keep being your beautiful self!
So glad to see you're back on your channel! I follow you on Instagram and have been wondering if you'd feel like hosting the podcast again. Becoming a mother is so lifechanging, it takes a while to adapt and feel like ourselves again... congrats on the new job and all the wonderfulness in your life
So glad to see you back! And very thankful that “all’s well that ends well”. Looking forward to your monthly videos, take care of yourself and your sweet family.
Hi Katie. It is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I am thankful all is well with you and your family and that you are back!!!! I have been knitting for just over a year and a half and gone back to watch all our episodes! Thank you for such uplifting inspiration.
Welcome back Katie, you have been through the mill. You have a beautiful family. My daughter had to have a emergency C section you are all amazing. Congratulation on your new job.
I cried over your birth experience. Beeing a mom of a one year old myself and having had a quite "normal" birth, I can't even imagine what you were going through. So glad it turned all out well and the two of you are doing great! Sending you hugs and kisses and looking forward to all creative content you're going to be sharing with us in the future! ♥
Sorry you had such a hard time with the end of your pregnancy and delivery! But now have a beautiful daughter! Glad to see you are coming back. I missed your podcasts! Well wishes and future success with all things in your life!
So nice to see your smiling face! I always appreciate you sharing your real life experiences I think it helps us all. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family. I look forward to seeing your monthly content.
welcome back! it is so good of you to tell your story in such an authentical style - 27 years ago i had a very similar experience and feelings after my first child was born / eclampsia/csection etc Getting it out there is so important!!
It is so good to hear from you again. Thank you for sharing your story. You are an incredibly strong woman. I'm so glad you are doing well and so are Posey, Emrys, and of course Roly :o) Take care of yourself and your family. We love you and will be here whenever you share with us.
I'm so happy to see you back. I am sorry to hear of all you went through during childbirth. You were blessed to have such wonderful people to get you through. I am also happy to know you have a healthy little girl. You will have a bond with your little one, that is unshakable. You have an amazing family. Enjoy every day with your family.
Lovely to see you again Katie and to hear your life updates. That is so MUCH to process in one short year. I'm so glad you're ok and that baby Posey is well. Goodness, what a scary birth story. Look forward to whatever videos you are able to create.
Don't feel bad at all for taking a break. You had a HUGE life change with having a baby, crazy birth story or not lol! It's completely understandable that you'd need some time for your family and yourself to recover and regroup. I'm super happy that you took the time to share with us what's been going on, and excited for future content from you! I think one video a month sounds super reasonable and I think most of your viewers will be very happy with that! I've been following your Insta and love that you're still able to spend some time making things despite parenthood. I'm expecting my first baby this December and am so scared I won't have any more time to knit/sew/crochet afterwards, so it really gives me hope to see you're still able to while juggling parental duties. Again, thank you for the update and I'm super excited for next year!
Glad to see you again. Having given birth about 15 months ago myself, I totally understand that you needed time to find you new "normal". All I can say is do what makes you and your family happy. We'll be here when you're ready to come back in whatever capacity that is. Posey is lovely and I think you're doing an awesome job as a mother. There will always be days when it feels completely the opposite, but when those days come, just breathe and get through it as best you can. God bless you and yours!
So happy you're back Katie! I'll look forward to your once a month videos beginning in January. Take good care of yourself along with your sweet little Posey, Emrys, and Roly. Enjoy your job as a librarian (I am also one). It is very fulfilling.
So glad you are ok! anything you want honestly, i am happy with whatever you decide is best for you. So grateful you shared your experience, and again so glad you and baby posy are ok! excited for you, too, and your baby. Prayers and love to you
Hello Kathie! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm so happy to see you back and know that you and your family are doing well. I've missed your videos, but please don't feel pressured to do more content than feels right for you.
Yay, you’re back! You’ve been missed, Katie - that being said I’m really glad to hear that you’ve been taking this time to heal and look after yourself and your family. Health and family always comes first, and I’m also glad to hear that you’ll still put that first. The (or one of the) great thing about the knitting community is that there’s so much love for everyone in it. Like other people have said, we’ll be seeing you when we see you! Take care!
Lovely to see you again & thank you for sharing the story of your journey with us. I have enjoyed following what you have continued to share through Instagram & look forward to what you have in store for the future.
Yay, you are back! You look great. Hope to see more videos. Oh, I do love your new glasses. Parenting is a day at time. Every child is different. God Bless you guys.
THREE DAYS?!?! My first child was induced because she was overdue. The EXACT same thing happened, constant contractions, and they were piggybacking (one on top of the other). But they stopped the IV synthetic hormones around 7pm the same day. I had a couple of hours rest, and went into labour on my own. I can’t even IMAGINE going through that amount of pain for that long. You did the right thing. The absolute right thing, for your health. Birth plans are great, but the bottom line is having a healthy mother, and healthy baby. Much 💕 💗 ❤️ to all of you.
I am a circulation clerk in the bookmobile department at my library. Glad you're enjoying it. It was such a nice surprise to see your video pop up. Welcome back!!!!!!!
I am so touched by your experience and how you have been able to process everything, and explain it in such a clear way. thank you for addressing the mental health part and sharing that too. I am so happy you are making the decisions you are. You should be very proud of the decisions you made; and yes, continue to remember to be "kind and gentle to yourself". Posey is so very lucky to have you as her mom. Hugs from Minnesota, Fern
Welcome back, Katie, I've missed your creative and inspiring podcasts, but be sure to take care of yourself (and Posey, Emrys, Roly and, and , and....) first and we (your followers) will see you when we see you.

I also love your audio podcast venture. Looking forward to more installments.

We'll be here when you're ready to come back in whatever capacity that is. Posey is lovely and I think you're doing an awesome job as a mother.
So wonderful to see you back! Sorry your labor was so not what you expected. But the end result is wonderful, a healthy baby and a healthy you!
Good to see you back. I've thought of you often and happy that you are enjoying your lovely baby.
Nice to see you again, an happy that it all turned out great for you and your family!!!
