Nothing crazy - ESV 2-Part for alk and calcium, sodium nitrate to keep nitrate up, water changes and just started a few drops of captiv8 MT trace here and there to replenish trace although I severely under dose since I don’t ICP test so it may not even do anything for me.
very clean looking tank, colors are great too. Awesome that water so clean without you using carbon. guess that uv sterilizer does a great job. keep posting.. thanks.
Great Video & Tank!. Curious to know how you plumed your UV sterilizer. Can you do a video of how you use your equipment and what you dose? Seems like a simple setup but how you keep your parameters in check? Thanks!
I plumbed it incorrectly, lol. This model needs to be horizontal and I had it vertical but I had it split on my return line so its not 100% of my return. Thought is that the flow is low so has time to receive a high dose. I took it off line in august and haven't noticed much difference so leaving it off for now i guess.
You have a super clean tank with healthy corals, well done. My question, do you just rely on your skimmer and waterchanges for nutrient export. Also, how are you finding the growth rate on your reef factory led. Sorry for all the question and thanks in advance.
Skimmer water changes and acropora. When you have a lot of coral mass, they will suck up a lot of nutrients. The growth with my lights is great! These are ATI Stratons, not Reef Factory tho. I run more whites than a lot of people these days, which I think helps the acros. I think the flow, pH and nutrients have more affect on growth than lights since most reef rated lights can grow coral.
My Phosphate jumps around a bit, but I think the Hanna Checker is not that precise. Usually 0.05 - 0.15 ppm. Nitrate is usually between 5-10 ppm and I usually am dosing sodium nitrate to keep it from dropping to zero.
Its a custom program. Blue and royal are 100% and the white ranges from 30 - 45% throughout the day to give a mix of daylight and a blue-ish spectrum. Violet and UV are around 50-70% throughout the day as well. Red and Cyan are zero % I think. Cyan realllly washes out the color.
hey man, love your setup. do you care to share how you have such crisp image? what camera do you use (and white balance setup)? do you use any filters or post editing to correct the color? it looks amazing
I’m using an iPhone 13, but downloaded a 3rd party app that lets you adjust the white balance while you film. Using an orange filter and being able to adjust white balance via the app makes it so you can adjust before you record. I think it may also allow to record at a higher quality. For most, I don’t do a whole lot of editing on the computer. Usually turning down blue gamma channel, white balance and maybe contrast in DaVinci resolve. I try to get it to look true to life, but I’m not a pro at editing.
I don’t regret the 170 because the 200 was too big for my space. If you can swing the 200, go for it. It’s the same other than being 12” longer than the 170
I’m enjoying it very much. I have to say I like everything about it over the RS Reefer, other than I had to do my own plumbing. The tank looks sleek, even with the eurobrace. Speaking of which, the thick glass and eurobrace makes this thing a battletank and should last a long time. The external overflow is awesome as there is nothing sticking out into the tank, and it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the tank so it’s easy to clean. There’s a second emergency drain so that helps keep it from overflowing since it stays dry unless the first emergency drain clogs. The aluminum stand is sleek and should hold up better than the wood stand. So far I really enjoy it.
@@johnjr47 They have been making nano tanks for a long time, but their large tanks are actually really nice and affordable compared to the other big name pre-built tanks
Great build! I recently (6 months ago) purchased IM EXT 100 tank. Loving it so far.
Thanks! Yeah, I am very happy with my IM tank.
The DOS leveling tip is awesome!
Don't know where I learned that, or if I invented it myself, but its helpful in hanging anything.
I was referring to the reef factory led over your grow out tank in the sump. Thinking of purchashing 1 for a cube I'm going to setup.
Thanks again.
That’s a Noopsyche light.
Tank is lookin great! The controller board and Straton wire and power brick management, turned out nice.
Thanks dude. Very happy with how the Straton cords turned out.
Love this display tank 👏🏻👌🏻💯✌🏻
Thanks bro
Great update. The finished product looks awesome. The tank already looks like it has been up 3 years. Can't wait to see when it really fills in.
Thanks! I can't wait for everything to grow in more too.
I absolutely love this tank. If I ever upgrade my cheap marine land 180, it will be a Innovative Marine 200.
I think you'd like the extra depth
Your tank looks great!
Thank you!
Awesome tank! Great video. I would like to learn more about how you dose your tank overall.

Congratulations! You have a spectacular aquarium, very clean. I also have Straton but I cant have the shine that you have in the corals.
Thank you! Lights are only a small part of the equation, and probably behind stable parameters and flow.

What’s the Settings of your Straton Gen1?
I have all 3 over my Acro Tank 150x60x60 cm

Im about to get an IM 170 or 200. Which should I get? Do u regret not getting the 200?

Where do you get your across from?
Several places, but many are from Cherry Corals, some from WWC, BattleCorals, and a few here and there from locals.
