Let me know what you think I should do with the Orange Monti / AOI Zoa rock. I am considering removing it, isolating it on the bottom or leaving as is and relocating the acros on the rock.
This is an example of why you never put montipora on your rock scape! I learned this the hard way as well🤷🏻♂️ Great tank. Try not to fuss with it too much and let it grow ❤
Looks amazing. I recently had to treat my tank with Oxolinic Acid myself. So far so good. Has stopped STN on few acros so keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞👌💯✌️
@@NBurgReef as of today, everything looks good. No algae nor cyano blooms. Corals look great. I did have one casualty. My vivid confetti but it was looking bad before the treatment. I do notice my glass getting full of algae faster. Not sure if it is related. Tank overall looks great for sure.
If you can swing the 200, the extra foot is always better. I didn’t have the space for the extra foot in length. One thing to consider is that extra foot requires and extra foot of lighting and flow and an extra couple gallons of sump space for water to trickle down to when you shut off the pump. Extra expenses to consider.
incredible tank, the corals look really nice and healthy. would you mind telling which stratons those are ( i guess the pro's) , and which setting you are running with them
They’re the gen 1 Stratons. As far as setting, I run them at around 80% peak, blue, royal blue to 100%, violet and uv at around 50-60%, white 30-40%, cyan and red off.
What is your ph at during the day and night? And moving sps is bad if they're happy leave them. You're causing the stn in the sps. This is why spacing sps is key.
8.3 peak, 8.0 bottomed out but can drop to 7.9 if I don’t change out the CO2 media. I don’t make a habit of moving things and any acros that I’ve had tissue recessions issues with we’re not ones moved. Likely stress or imbalance after I upgraded tanks.
I used about a stick and a half of JB Waterweld, stuff from the hardware store. I like it better than the two little fishes one because it doesn’t have a bunch of particles come off it in the tank and doesn’t affect the skimmer as much. If I use half a stick when making frags, Skimmer is fine… a stick and a half did cause my Skimmer to go nuts and I turned it down for a day.
@@NBurgReef I've heard mixed reviews on that stuff and have never used it. I will have to give it a try. Was worried it would letch something into the water since it's not for aquariums. Does it fully harden in the water. I know fishes stuff doesn't
Hmm. 36” is pushing. 30 is doable but I do notice the upper back is slightly dim, but the front is okay. If you have a flattish aquascape and are not planning on SPS, it could work. You’ll have to have them up a little higher and will get some spillage on the front/back. You could try it and add light bars on the ends if you need to go that route down the road.
Editing takes hours man trust me I get it. Nice work and it’s crazy how easy you just move huge colonies of Acro… I thought when they base out you can’t touch em. Keep doin what you do 💯
There's a reason why I moved those two, because the other colonies were directly on the rock vs a little rock glued to a bigger rock, lol. That other colony that was in the battle has several inches of encrusting so no way I could move it cleanly. Thanks for the kind words.

Isolate it and let it go on the bottom

Yeah, I am working on removing all encrusters! lol. I am redoing a few things that didn't quite sit right since upgrading, then i am letting it roll.

Any other side effects or did you have any algae/cyano blooms?

I just recently subscribed to your channel. Your tank is amazing and I enjoy your videos!
Welcome and thanks for the compliment!
Love watching you work on the tank 😃👍,
Glad you enjoy it!
Loving the tank. Keep it up! If only I could grow sps like this😅
Thanks! If you pick the right sticks, it’s not too hard.
Tank Looking good bro.
Thanks!
Looking great 🔥
Appreciate it
Beautiful tank . I’m currently on the fence between this tank and the 200 EXT

@@NBurgReef great, thanks a lot for your reply :) the corals seem to like those settings
Nice looking tank. Do you like the bare bottom? What lights are you running?
I did a video on going bare bottom, and I like it for a high flow tank. Lights are ATI Stratons

Was it the stick epoxy?
How many can you do in the tank at a time?
I know it throws the skimmer into overdrive

What would be your thoughts of running a single ATI Straton over a 36” L x 24” W tank?

Just found out that you’re in the dmv area. Nice tank!
Thanks! Are you a WAMAS member or joined any local Facebook groups?
What lights are those please?
ATI Stratons
Hey.. I would love to have your problems😅 Nice tank btw. Greetings from germany

Hey are you selling 🤔💯💯💯

One day you too can have these problems.
