    *Time stamps below this*
    Daruk's carving is not the carving I'm talking about in this video. His statue is directly above the one I point out in the video. *Update the carving is of Darmani from MM and not Darunia.... even though it's odd that he made it on the monument but not Darunia.*
    *Please note that these locations are easter eggs. Some may be the same locations from past titles and others may simply be references to past titles.Remember Aonuma said Botw takes place after OOT. Locations move overtime and I go over that in the video. This is to simply show #1 how far some of these places have come since Oot in terms of graphics #2 how far they have come in the series lore (whether the specific location was moved or is just a reference to Oot) I also didn't include every location from Ocarina of Time I will be making a continuation of this later on*
    Again please be aware that Zelda is notorious for moving locations around in each iteration. Each location shown are first and for most a comparison of how far the series has come in a whole. Don't take any lore references as 100% accurate I only give brief descriptions and never touch on any timeline details. Thanks for watching!!
    Lon Lon Ranch - 0:45
    Zora's Domain - 1:56
    Goron City - 2:49
    Lost Woods - 3:46
    Temple of Time - 5:25

    Admittedly seeing what was left of Lon Lon Ranch after 10,100 years and the Great Calamity just... hurt. Emotionally. The only things left were some planks from the house, sign, and stables, the old silo-tower-thing, and the ruined fence of the field.

    I'm not going to lie: I really shed a tear out of melancholy the first time I saw Lon Lon Ranch in BotW. It reminded me of the second time I stole something in the Zelda universe. The first time was when I stole the bow in Link's Awakening, but the second time was more special. The moment I stole Epona and jumped over that gate is still one of my defining moments as a gamer.

      The ruins of some places from past games in BOTW are non logical to me, some of them (like temples, villages, statues or the bridge of Eldin) maybe can be explained because of reconstructions through the history of Hyrule, but places like Lon Lon Ranch (OoT), Skyward's locations (SS is too far chronologicaly from BOTW), Lost Woods (OoT) or Arbiter's Ground (TP), are just impossible, 10,000 years are really a lot of time and there's no way that they has remained even in ruins

    While Lon Lon Ranch and the Temple of time are accurate, the rest on the list have existed in far too many Zelda games in different shapes and forms to really say they Ocarina of Time references. Hell, the Zora's Domain resembles Twilight Princess's version more than the Ocarina of Time version.

    • @RMFHGaming
      @RMFHGaming  7 лет назад

      Like I say in the video Zora's Domain & Goron city appeared in Ocarina of Time first. They hadn't been established in the series as major locations until that point. Yeah, a link to the past had Zora's waterfall but the domain had not been established yet (irl that is) both Goron city and Zora's domain are in the same general locations in Botw as well. Another reason I added them was to show how far Zelda has come since Oot's release . Works out either way really. Thanks for watching and leaving your opinion

  • @thedeadliestrobloxia
    @thedeadliestrobloxia 7 лет назад +6

    In regards to the lost woods, I have to disagree with the BoTW Great Deku Tree. In ocarina of time, the only reason the Great Deku Tree died was being he was poisoned and eaten by Gohma, a giant spider made by ganon. It's hinted that without the spider, the Great Deku Tree would have never died. Since BoTW is in the child timeline, the timeline where link stops ganon from coming to power and killing the Great Deku Tree, then that Great Deku Tree in BoTW is the same one from OOT.

    • @RMFHGaming
      @RMFHGaming  7 лет назад +2

      Only problem with that is Link was sent back to the very moment he met child Zelda in Oot. So that means the Deku tree already died as Gohma had already poisoned him. The Deku tree sprout likely sprouted sometime later on. Thanks for the comment and I hope I could clear that up for you.

    • @ElvisMarrero
      @ElvisMarrero 7 лет назад +3

      But Breath of the wild IS NOT in the Child Timeline.. is actually in the Fallen Hero Timeline.. Zelda's Speech also references wind waker and Link ot the past so it can no longer be used as an argument for the child timeline. The game confirms Ruto was awakened as a Sage so that simply and completely destroys the child timeline. Only adult and Fallen remain but it just cannot be Adult cause Hyrule was destroyed per the King's Wish in Wind Waker.

    • @trentons2000
      @trentons2000 7 лет назад +3

      Spike Maan there's evidence supporting BoTW being in all three timelines. I personally theorize it falling into the adult timeline, due to the presence of the Rito, the Koroks, the style of the new Deku Tree, the splash text for Rock Salt, and the style of damage on known locations matching up with water damage. That said, I'm working on a theory where the timeline splits again at the end of WW, where Ganondorf collects the full triforce and uses his wish to restore the Gerudo (as he hints is his end goal in Wind Waker). I suppose Hylia could have removed the ocean and restored the original Hyrule for the wish, but this would also explain the separation of Ganon from Ganondorf, making what remained Calamity Ganon.
      If BoTW does fit into my theoretical timeline, it makes complete sense for the lost woods to have eventually taken over Kokiri forest, as he stated in the video.

      A lot of people think that this is a whole new timeline, or all of the timelines at some point came back together into one timeline. It would explain how big BOTW Hyrule has gotten. Plus all of Hyrule holds fragments from different timelines which also supports the theory that all the timelines somehow came back together to form one timeline

I have to say, I wish they had done more like Lon Lon Ranch, showing the ACTUAL place of the Ranch with the same layout. I wish they had done that with other places, not like they did with Zora's Domain, which was moved and upgraded, but an actual cave to visit with the same layout as Ocarina of Time. Goron City didn't just move - there's strong evidence that all of Death Mountain moved, and that the Hebra region is the old Death Mountain that was active in Ocarina of Time but has gone volcanically inactive (but not necessarily extinct) over the ages. That evidence?
    1) In the Japanese version of A Link to the Past, the Light World version of Death Mountain is called Hebra. In the English versions of the game, this was simply ironed out to "Death Mountain" for both Light and Dark World locations of the same geographical spot. Death Mountain is an active volcano, while Hebra is inactive.
    2) The topography of the Hebra region is full of volcanic-like features. In addition to multiple active hot springs, there's also crater- and caldera-like depressions like Gisa Crater (and surrounding smaller craters), Lake Totori, the Flight Range, Coldsnap Hollow, and the Sturnida Basin (partially filled by Lake Kilsie and its western shore dominated by hot springs). Hebra Plunge also caught my attention because its lower lake is warm enough to swim in without any gear even well to the north, where the lakeshore is surrounded by bitterly cold terrain that requires mid-level cold protection - this is realistic if the lake is being geothermally heated (though it can just as easily be a development oversight). The upper lakes past the first waterfall (and the waterfall itself) are dangerously cold, though.
    3) The Rito live there. Dragon Roost Island from The Wind Waker in the Adult Timeline (some centuries or so after Ocarina of Time) is implied to be Death Mountain. In whatever timeline Breath of the Wild takes place in, the Rito could have remained in the vicinity long after the volcano went inactive, while the Gorons moved on to a new volcano because of their affinity for magma.
    Why do Hebra and Death Mountain no longer share geography in Breath of the Wild? Even in the real world, volcanic activity can come and go over long periods of time, and new volcanic complexes can emerge from new locations nearby. It may also be why Kakariko Village moved out of Hebra and/or Eldin regions altogether to the non-volcanic Necluda region, and older versions of Kakariko may have long since been buried under lava.
    As for the Lost Woods, it almost certainly moved, which is far easier to explain because Deku Tree seedlings can take root wherever a spot can be found, as illustrated in The Wind Waker when the Koroks were directed to spread seedlings to other islands. The Temple of Time and/or Hyrule Castle can also have been moved and rebuilt at different locations, considering they were closely adjacent in Ocarina of Time, but far apart in both Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild. The Temple of Time in TP and BotW are also isolated on a high plateau away from Hyrule Castle, and this plateau was actually occupied by the Lost Woods in TP.
    Various other locations, like the Ranch, can be built and rebuilt practically anywhere. The Ranch Ruins in BotW could be ruins of the original ranch that somehow persisted after more than 10000 years, or it could be a different ranch entirely, or it could be an homage to the ancient ranch that long since ceased to exist.

      That's understandable. Many inactive volcanoes are covered with snowpack and glaciers, which can accumulate very deep after long periods of inactivity. More obvious smaller features, like the textures of lava flows, can become eroded with time and the elements. Calderas in particular often fill with water and become lakes. But now that I've mentioned how Hebra and Death Mountain shared the same geography in A Link to the Past, can you see some of those volcanic elements in Hebra now, on a larger scale? The topography alone presents many clues. www.zeldadungeon.net/breath-of-the-wild-interactive-map/
      Coldsnap Hollow in particular is shaped suspiciously like a summit crater, but it's not the only crater there.

    Mmmm I'd say that zora's domain is more like Twilight Princess with it's open air style and architecture nestled in a waterfall filled valley-- Even if it is in the same approximate location as OoT.
    One could argue that the east reservoir lake is jabujabu's lake as well it's elevated above zora's domain with stone docks.

      Temple of time was built over the sacred grounds by the sage of light, it also served as a gate way into the sacred realm where the Tri-force was hidden. I am not convinced that is the same temple of time though. I would also like to find out how the plateau came to exist as it is higher then the rest of Hyrule around it. Almost as if it was raised artificially

Hence seeing Spectacle Rock by gerudo desert in BOTW as opposed to on top of Death Mountain like in older games.

    If you take ranch ruins literally and not just an Easter Egg (Zoom out twice from there and you get pretty much exactly the map of OOT with pretty much all locations lined up where they should be), then the Lost Woods is a different one, as is the Temple of Time because they are outside the boundaries of what was OOT's Hyrule.
    Forests are easy enough as they die out and grow elsewhere over time. Temple of Time obviously has probably just been rebuilt multiple times in different places.

    The Forest in BotW and The Kokiri Forest in OoT are not the same forest. their locations differ by quite a lot.. By Breath of the Wilds Blown Out Proportions id wager the Kokiri Forest or whatever is left should very well be around the Farone Area. In breath of the wild the lost woods is located north of hyrule castle and east of death mountain just like it was in a Link to the Past..
    So they are not the same places.. on a side note, The Great Plateau (the chunk of land, i mean, which houses the old temple of time) used to be where the castle is now.. it used to house the old castle and castle town.. it was moved (by unknown means) and thats why its so far south... but the hyrule castle LOCATION is still the same.. just southwest of death mountain. cheers

    Seeing all these people saying conflicting things down here is interesting. I feel that too many people think that these locations are solidified and can't move. For example, some say that this can't be the the same temple of time because it isn't in the lost woods like in TP, but don't realize that many of the lost woods in the series are in completely separate areas. Also, the koroks themselves tell you that they grew the forest to protect the master sword, so it's likely this could be an entirely different forest from the others.

  • @jojococoa

    The lost woods in botw are clearly a reference to the foggy woods that you had to be guided through in twilight princess.
