Just brilliant. Thanks so much for breaking this down so clearly. My favorite srv track and now thanks to you I'm well on my way to playing it - even though it's a bit above my skill level - but I woulda had no chance at all without your exceptionally clear tutorial. Huge thanks. I'll keep practicing until I can make the changes smoothly and sound musical.
You're welcome Graham! I think it is good to sometimes try things that are a bit above your playing level. It challenges your fingers and brains to evolve. Pick a song that is too hard and it might lead to frustration but do it gradually and it'll take you to new places and new heights! Enjoy, and perhaps I'll do some more SRV music!
I guess it is because normally my guitar is in standard tuning and I'm sometimes a bit lazy to tune down :-) (weird to call myself lazy considering the hours I work in a week) Also, most people have their guitar in standard tuning which is also why i did this in standard. But I agree it should be in Eb. I think a lot of guitarplayers have their guitars in Eb to make bending easier and/or because they play with hornplayers a lot. at least I've considered tuning down for those reasons myself
Eternamente agradecido!!! Felicitaiocnes
Yeah, I should start doing some solo stuff. I've done it before but at the time with all the multi-tasking (thinking of audio, thinking of camera placement, presentation, guitar placement, and lets not forget the lesson itself in English which is not my native language) doing a solo made my head spin and made doing solo tutorials very hard... But, that was a long time ago, I'll see if I can give it a shot any time soon :-)

Thank you! (and you're welcome...) about the setup used.... dare i say it? ok,... drumroll please? prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr VG99 + Roland GK3 I picked Strat and i believe Fender Twin but it is all fake... I use the VG99 from time to time to save time. Hardly any noise, and i can pretty much fake any sound i want. But i would never use it for a real recording. Funny is that my '92 PRS custom can create a nice strat sound with the right settings...
One of my favorite tunes............nicely done........sounds great !....What guitar and amp are You playing this on....if You don't mind telling us...............thank You, Marcel
good lesson. but don't spend so much time on the chord picking pattern after you show the first time. cause you do a good on it with the instruction and tab. if some one missed something they can just go back until they have if. for me sometimes I get lost and don't know where im at in the song. I hope this makes sense. but it was very cool and good lesson. the cam the tab the song. very cool.
great lesson, my only question is: why play the song in E standard? the original recording is in Eb flat, also i was looking for Eb flat backing tracks of this song and found none, looks like dudes like to play this in standard tuning....other than that this is a great tutorial thanks!!
