great video man really well done and informative and the music choice is unique and really great honestly, a nice change from alot of channels. just preordered my first GMK set, the Retrowave, and was looking for a more budget cherry profile set to compare to the GMK, and the darker colourway on this while retaining the synthwave aesthetic is perfect. also I highly recommend Durock T1's if you want to really go all the way with tactility but dont want to spend $100 on Zealios V2's
The comparison is easy to understand. Thank you! Also, I thought the quality of the video editing was very high and the channel looks like it will grow in the future. I've subscribed!
Hey man, just found out your comparison video about this two keycaps. I have a question, does the Akko Neon Support the Alice Layout (just like in the video, but full of them?) Because i’m considering the Akko Neon for my Alice Build… Your Answers will be so Appreciated… Great video btw!
I know all the arguments over clones but do the Akko set really count as clones? Looks like the font, colour and novelty are such that they are based on the GMK set but they did not copy the novelty and the colours are not the same?
At 1:58, the missing bit was intentional since this isn’t as good of a double shot technique leading to the stem having to be slight cut to work. Great video though.
It's not worth more than $100 different, and I hate the way GMK control the market to flip the price like that, esspecially on third market they re-sell gmk's keycap much higher. So I'm happy when Akko and similar maker create good quality keycap, switch and keyboard like this help users and market become more "normal"
I also wonder why you have so few subscribers. The video is a bit old, but can you maybe say how the brightness of the lettering compares in the dark with the keyboard light on? I have the Akko and apart from a couple of keys where the symbol on the key is directly above the LED, you can't see anything shine through even at maximum brightness. The light distributed to the sides of the key is not enough to shine through and the LEDs cannot be soldered through the board design, nor onto the side of the switch, where they would be directly below the symbol. Is it the same with the GMK keys, or do they let the light through better?
If your going to get gmk mito, you don't get gmk mito, you get Domikey pumper, unless you want SA, then you want the gmk, if you already have the gmk laser in cherry, get the mito waves cause it's a different take on laser and you get gaijin by default.
How do I just pick specific key caps like you selected for spacebar, novelties, and blocknet if I chose gmk laser?? I don’t want to buy each prebundle section and spend like $200 just on additional key caps
I fucking love Akko, the quality you get for the price is amazing. Getting a blue and red samurai set (ASA so even more thock) and the amount of caps you get at the base price is insane. Pairing that with my KBD67 Lite with lubed and filmed black inks is just going to be thock city.!! Overall I just prefer PBT over ABS regardless of the ABS quality. You just get a better feel and I'm, presonally, a much bigger fan of the muted colours that PBT caps give.
Majority of people prefers PBT over ABS, me included. It was really confusing in the beginning as a newbie because majority of GMK releases are ABS and the clones are PBT lol.
Great video man! Very helpful, loved it. Oh! and if you want some tactiles, my gmmk pro is currently using a combination of dragonfruits and drop pandas I've borrowed from my brother. Highly recommend both.
I own the Akko Neon set and I'm thinking of purchasing the Gaijin kit of the GMK Laser. I'm on the same boat as you trying out new things, but was also looking at trying the Akko Neon ASA set instead of having redundant keycap profiles. Do you think the GMK Laser is worth the premium? If money wasn't an object and in terms of comfort/durability/acoustic standpoint - are there actual noticeable differences with the actual feel of the keycap (pressing down) itself?
Personally I really like the look of the Gaijin kit that's why I chose it over the Akko Neon. I like the personality that comes with the Gaijin. Differences are very minute as they are both cherry profile keycaps. I think ASA profile will have a more drastic difference in terms of comfort and acoustics, if you're comparing profiles. The Akko Neons are honestly pretty high quality for the price! Just not the look I wanted. Hope that helps!! :D
Buying clones are fine. The creator doesn't get money is a stupid argument. It would be different if the gmks were in stock. They have 1 run and it's done.
Profiles are owned by cherry, pantone colors are owned by paint companies, color injection is an industry wide standard, there's nothing for GMK to trademark or patent lol.
Broooo how do you only have 16 subscribers!? Top shelf content dude! You are legit the only RUclipsr I've found that did a comparison on these sets.
This is an expertly edited video dude! I bet you are gonna go far.
10/10 video, great editing, great execution and you explain everything well
I would add that Akko's ASA profile is really pleasant.
Oh yea I heard about that, might get one in that profile to try it out!
@@LeonLamTech it's like SA but shorter and more ergonomic, for my taste
Please continue making videos. Been scouring yt for very good content and I found this gem of a channel.
I was looking for this video every where thank you for making it
I've got a set of bobas on the way, currently running the akkos myself. trying to decide Wether to give the gmks a go lol
man, love your video, one of the best take so far i've seen. its like watching a short documentary rather than a review. great job !!
Awesome vid! Good quality. Thank you for the comparison.

how different are they. do you mind updating
Try using penguins, their pretty good for those in linear gang
You made a video for exactly what I wanted! Give this guy more likes!
God damn great first upload, keep it up dude!
Great video! Kind of hard to believe you only have 60 subscribers. I'll sub for more content like this.
dude! great video! wanna see some a hundred or million subs in the future!
Holy shit this video is super well made, I thought you would have way more subs. I just subbed!
Very informative comparison! Might have to pick up a laser kit. Also the editing/aesthetic of the video was beautiful!
The comparison is easy to understand. Thank you!
Also, I thought the quality of the video editing was very high and the channel looks like it will grow in the future. I've subscribed!
Nice quality production. You earned a sub!

ayo whats that alice board
nice comparison video! really helped me decide i much prefer the colour on the laser and think i'll inevitably be disappointed with the cheaper neon
very nice quality, dude, keep up the good work and best of luck to you ;)
damn i'm surprised i'm the 100th subscriber you have! You clearly deserve more! I'll be sure to follow your videos :D
Thanks dude!

Great video! Loved that it was cohesive yet concise, and I loved the vibe too :)
that editing SHEESH 🔥
the Akko Neon set only costs around $35 in my place, its a steal honestly
What bg music did you use? Sounds great
I would go for the lasers but I’m more into the purple-ish side of the neons
Boba U4T 62g is a good stock switch without any pinging, can get a good price from pantheon directly :)
Cool! Yea I've heard about them but I've never bought anything from there before, how would you rate the experience?
GMK are always OEM profile so I'm automatically out. XDA/ASA are far more preferable for me
in the future, use the same key position for comparisons. even 1 position will change the sound.
insane production quality!! just a little bit too loud of a bgm, still a good vid tho
Woohoo! Checkered shirt!!! :D
How do I just pick specific key caps like you selected for spacebar, novelties, and blocknet if I chose gmk laser?? I don’t want to buy each prebundle section and spend like $200 just on additional key caps
Great vid with lots of good info! Would Sing ever get into this hobby I wonder Hmmmmm...
I think whenever he gets more desk space, I'll get him to hop on this hobby haha

@@YeahNaw Same man, I just really hate how they look really good at the beginning but overtime the shine completely ruins the looks in the GMK sets.
Was that a YMDK Wings? If so, that's the EXACT board I use 😎
Great video man! Very helpful, loved it.
Oh! and if you want some tactiles, my gmmk pro is currently using a combination of dragonfruits and drop pandas I've borrowed from my brother. Highly recommend both.
This vid has awesome editing. Grow you shall!
Very great versus, awesome video quality. New sub 👍
Whats the keycap set of the keyboard laying on your desk in the background? Is that a "This is plasic" keycap set?
After long use did your akko got shine? I have akko muted, and after 5-6 month some key become shiny
ma you are so underrated dam

Nice music choices!
Boba 4ut, koalas, sunflowers, holy pandas etc
Buying clones are fine. The creator doesn't get money is a stupid argument. It would be different if the gmks were in stock. They have 1 run and it's done.
i've been looking for them, nowhere to be found, i dont want the other colorways.
incredible

yeah i hate that "clone" shit people are spouting, like they are limited group buys anyway and mostly never to return, how is that a clone then?
Neon is 40 bucks here where I live and regularly on discounts...
Great video! Lasers just look great for the theme, while Neons looks are really disappointing.
if u want clack = GMK, more thock = PBT
N E O N
are you singaporean in the us?
Malaysian in Malaysia haha
Waaaa nice sia
And tbh, GMK > AKKO
GMK ftw,!
1 more in oem version there is tai hao anemone
