I'm obsessed with the Fashionistas from 2009-2013, they give me such great nostalgia, Barbie and her bffs (Nikki,Teresa,Summer and Raquelle) were so beautiful at that time.

Personally I prefer the clown world. I remember that I used to hate that glam and sassyness

From high to down...what a Journey...with every New "crew" the Quality is worst and the sense of Fashion is very questionable as well...

In 2009 there was already representation in the Fashionistas, well Artsy is Nikki (Black) and Sassy is Teresa (Latina). Ok in 2009 Fashionistas besides Nikki and Teresa there were also four Barbie's (Girly, Wild, Cutie and Glam) in the same line, which is extremely criticized!! But people have to understand that in 2009 the blonde with blue eyes and with the excellent GG 10'S mold was a character,a character created back in 1959 by Ruth Handler, and as she WAS Barbie,of course there would be more dolls of hers than her friends, right???
And not like from 2015 to now, that Mattel forces with great hypocrisy that all Barbie dolls are the character BARBIE... It's so disgusting that Mattel turned them all into Barbie's,but still in ALL LINES,they have one our two Millies, they're all Barbie's... but still They have Barbie as the protagonist, right Mattel???
In the end,Barbie's friends only lost their names and now Mattel still saves money by registering names.

I think that's why I stopped collecting the dolls from 2015 and up. I didn't really care for the shape and poses(or lack of poses) of the dolls from 2015 and up. They just seem stiff and rigid. I truly preferred the articulated dolls but I didn't hate the bodies that had curves and distinct poses. The body's now, even the one they call the original shape has been modified and has less curves and the limbs / hands are just not pretty and/ or graceful anymore.

For me that's the worst one. That's when they really really started to miss the mark. The fashions became so cheap with this wave... The best was 2011! Best articulation and best fashion!

I always hated the glam and sassy fashionistas, they're all so skinny and generic. But that is because I hate the 2000s aesthetic. I think the 2000s is the 80s for the millennials, so tacky and corny, everything was too much. I prefer minimalism. The newer fashionistas, despite de horrendous lazy bag clothes, are more natural and casual, it seems more legit.
