I was a little boy when playing crusader so the game was already quite challenging for me and my brother but this mission seemed impossible for a very long time to us. we even invited a friend of mine over to play this special mission for us and after he showed us a viable strategy I was able to beat it myself! great game, great memories and great content. ty!
Very very smart indeed! I never thought of this exact approach. I notice that you used some UCP quirks here so that's also nice! I tried several times to build my production on the exact same spot as you, but I never thought on blocking the Yellow Richard's path with a moat that way. While I was able to halt the Orange Richard's attacks with a few units, the other one would still overrun me with the ever-growing army of Pikemen and Swordsmen. So I ditched that strategy and kept the usual building in the keep itself, only blocking the ford to prevent the orange Richard from directly harassing me and having his army go all the way the other ford, meanwhile keeping Yellow Richard busy with a few Crossbowmen + shields close to his keep to cripple his economy, and eventually put a shield on a blind spot between his main gate and a square tower, rendering him useless and giving me enough time to focus on the other Richard and build my economy.
Me and my dad have played and finished the first trail like 10 different times throughout my life, but this was definitely the hardest mission in stronghold crusader BY FAR. The catapult rush from Richards as well as the hill disadvantage makes is insanely difficult. If it wasn't for the stockpile move, i have no idea how it could be completed.
I'm able to beat this mission without moving my base. One of the key to beat every mission in this game is to destroy their economy asap by killing their workers outside their walls.

Recently i came back to stronghold crusader and this mission was very easy to me. On the other end missions 41, 48, 50 seem impossible to me

How to build siege equipments fast like this? Is it considered cheating online?
2:52 how do you do this? Every time I want to build siege things, I have to select it again. Is there a button I should hold down?
