You can’t pump fuel fast enough as that pershing was sucking it down through the inlet. As far as the Scout, that’s what you get with five damn engines, no gas. Those Vikings are so badass. Beautiful inside. I’m retired Army so I didn’t make the right career choice to afford one. Gotta love watching on YT.
The Mangustas are gorgeous except when the crew is too lazy to take the shade supports down🤦♂️! I'd hate to be the deckhand that forgot to make the deck secure on that Riva!
@@zkuwait1727 Cold be they ran out of fuel. Or maybe it was a sold boat they didn't want to put the hours on. They had a 530 with 6 - 400s on it at the show too. That boat was sold already.
7:45 165E in a class of it's own but what are all of those awful poles on the vessel? I realize some could support a canopy but I still don't get it. Do you ever see a 103S Azimut? '08/'09/'10/'11 are so attractive.
There are quite a few of them living at the South Pointe Park, they sleep in the breakwater rocks.. or at least when I show up in the early am I see them all come out of the crevices.

They do that to increase the bow height for running hard in rough seas. They're incredibly dry boats, I just brought a 92 back from Puerto Vallarta to San Diego and we ran at 25-30 all the way and barely got any water on the windows in 20 knots and 3-4ft chop right on the nose.
You probably filmed this within a day or so of that couple and other person who died on the jetty at government cut when they crashed their boat. Sad story.

Around here in socal we call fenders the "Del Rey stripes' for Marina Del Rey and all the rich morons who can't drive their boats or pull their fenders in. For every fender that's left out=owner is from 10 miles inland from the coast.

I'd guess the scout has digital controls and had an issue. All that redundant power is meaningless when they are all controlled by the same glass.

The poles, as you suspected, are for canopies. I'm not sure I've seen a 103S, looks like a giant version of the 55S or 62S
A few million dollars worth of floating dreams there, but some captains still haven't worked out what the trim controls are for.
