It describes human nature so perfectly. Oftentimes, people will give into the fear of the unknown, and it has previously led to many prejudices against other humans.
I don't understand how people say that he is a stupid man. Jafar just used magic and his position to get what he wanted done. Gaston masterfully manipulated a whole town to do his bidding
Those lyrics are even more powerful when you learn that they were written by an openly gay man dying of AIDS. He felt like a monster, just like the Beast, condemned by the people who saw him as a freak. And even through his bitterness and pain, he held out hope that he'd have his own miracle, his own way to break his curse before it claimed his life.
Gotta admit, The Mob Song lends itself to Metal very well. The song is already pretty aggressive, so it sounds almost natural in Metal form.

Let's also ignore the fact that we're already making up stories about what the Beast will do, despite the fact we don't actually know how long the Beast has been there, and no children have ever gone missing.

And let's also ignore the fact that a castle being that close by suggests the village is part of its kingdom, and that somehow within the last ten years or so the villagers have completely forgotten about their liege lord, cursed or not.
Mithrin al'Thor technically, the witch that cursed the Beast, she made all the villagers forget about him and the castle. It's explained in the "original" story and a bit in the live action musical, but not the cartoon.

We did Beauty and the Beast on stage back in high school, and I always thought how awesome it would be if electric guitars were to kick in when Gaston sings "So it's time to take some action, boys...". This is exactly how I imagined it'd sound and then some! Bravo!

here's a dumb suggestion: "you're only second rate" or "in or out" from the direct to dvd alladins.
A lot of people give it crap but I liked The Return of Jafar, I think it is because Robin Williams didn't do the Genie, but honestly as a kid I did not notice. King of Thieves was good too.
Yeah I hated the second movie, because Robin Williams wasn't the genie and VERY long list of other complaints, but that song was good. And yeah, the third one I still enjoy to this day.
