I feel you on this reaction, you nailed the theme of it and you caught on to King Krule working with poetry. King Krule can be hard to understand when he's singing because of the accent, the vocal inflections and the sound engineering around it. In the end tho the vibes speak for themselves and with the lyrics to read along with you'll see it hits the nail on the head.
Archy Marshall mostly produces and writes his songs on his own entirely. He does get some help from his friends such as Gilbert (Guitarist), Ignacio (Saxophonist), James (Bassist), and Geoffrey (Drummer). Mainly though they sort of add on their own flavors to the song while Archy neatly composes all of them into one. Archy himself plays the Guitar and Piano as well. Most of the chord progression he uses he made, same with the piano. Def check out his 6ft Beneath the Moon next. One of his best IMO, the atmosphere he creates is crazy.
I think you're right about the album man, mostly about a broken relationship, loneliness and feeling like an outsider. His accent is a bit hard to decipher tho you right haha, Big ups, Nathan
Archie marshal is his real name he’s the one who produces, he has a couple names he releases music under, he released a whole rap album under his real name, Edgar the beatmaker which he makes beats, djsport does more house music type stuff, but he has a band he performs with live and they do some of the instruments on the ablum but a lot of it is just him! You should check out his tiny desk performance they go hard on that!
@@Top5Troy if you do another one, I'd highly recommend 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. I think it's his best album by far, the coolest sound to me. production is wild, has less of a punk sound too, more melodic. great lyrics too, if you wanna pull them up alongside.
i'm mad late but king krule is kind of a group? archy marshall is the vocalist and lead man but all the production credits are the same because there are different members of the group. not sure if you'll see this comment but yeah 🙏🏾
With artists like this I reckon you should pull up the lyrics on genius or smthin cause i get wym with some artists and their accents Oh ye and his 2013 album '6 Feet Beneath the Moon' is very good aswell

the lyrics are meant more as impressions, like flashes in a dream. its to be experienced, not understood
King krule is really good his album Man alive is just as good as this
Which album do you like more?
@@Top5Troy Man alive is more blues than the ooz, which I think had a lot more indie punk songs. So I lean towards man alive a little more
