They should make the bleach line with this type of pants engineering
Don't remind me... :(
They did baggy pants great on Suguru Geto (JJK) and now Tanjiro, but they won't share that engineering across because each design team is basically separate isolated islands. It's so dumb.
They shoud fiire that team, they are killing the line
And then Hasbro charges $35 for some of their figures and they are not even close to this
Not many are 35.00 and want to see the best Hasbro look at the Indian Jones figures decent shading great articulation and really good face printing
@@johns3153It doesn't matter how many of them are $35, they still sell overpriced subpar product when they do
@@johns3153 even the best hasbro figure on this earth doesn't compare to this articulation and accesories of this shf release
Hasbruh quality sucks I stopped buying hasbruh stuff a long time ago
@@vitadude5004 same for SH.F I've gotten so many with bad paint loose joints and or broken because of QC issues
The dichotomy of SHF, giving the best engineering and QC to the line starter and shitting the bed on the fan favorites and highest pricers
I agree
Couldn’t have said it better myself tbh
Just like Zoro and Kenshin
Yo, beyond accurate!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@karlluigi1987Bleach figures too 😩
Damn, youre not lying about those knees! I thought that Storm Collectibles Genjuro was pretty good for the baggy pants, but this is showing me that can be done even better!
That knee articulation is impressive. Not over engineered. It just works.
Because of competition, since both Figma and Buzzmod had this figure, they needed to put out something decent enough to steal the light. Scampy devil Bandai.
Arguably the greatest build up/payoff to a knee bend we’ve seen on this channel.
Best demon slayer figure out!
I think demon slayer may have passed DBZ in popularity.. especially with some of the younger generations.
It’s a great anime with incredible character designs.
Q of the Day: I buy figures of characters I’m unfamiliar with quite often, but I do try to get familiar with them either before or after placing my order. I watched the first episode or two of Demon Slayer and didn’t really get hooked, but I’m still considering this figure due to a) how good it is, b) the price point, and c) I like to have iconic pop culture characters represented in my collection. EDIT: I just ordered him using your affiliate link.
I love the arms. It might be overengineering, but the different joints/parts are like puzzle pieces enabling to move great while being single jointed.
The knees are near perfect engineering. Excellent job!
Odd that the knees are good on this while the Sh figuarts Goku doesn't have good looking knees yet Figure rise Standard Goku knees did it right
I'm guessing there are separate design teams in bandai..and thats why we get some amazing figures in the naruti line and some terrible ones in bleach
figuarts goku knees look better than figurise knees to me
The design teams are separate, and I'd bet money that there is a very competitive and toxic workplace at Bandai where the teams are pitted against each other. Japanese corporate culture is known for being awful at the best of times, and the engineering disparity between the SHF lines is absurd.
That said... I kinda like that the lines based on newer anime have more advanced engineering (unless you're Naruto). I like to picture a bunch of younger designers coming in and just out-engineering the DBZ, Bleach, Berserk and One Piece guys who have the safety net of their property being older and having an older (and financially more stable) fanbase, just out of sheer spite. Unless you're the Naruto team.
This guy can _Tiger Knee_ with a single joint. _That's_ impressive.
*QotD:* It takes _a lot_ for me to buy a figure solely based on design. I _need_ context 90% of the time for something before I'm going to add it to my collection/repertoire. The last ones that I grabbed because they looked neat were HasLabs Victory Saber and Deathsaurus, and even _then_ they're Japanese G1 faction leaders, so not even really.
This, the East Blue Luffy, Superhero Gohan and both Narutos are proof that SHF can put out really good figures at a budget price
I do rarely also due to lack of space but man when the figure looks dope and the price is reasonable it’s a wrap😂
Just imagine a world where Tamashii Nations took every smart choice they incorporated into a figure and spread it amongst all their releases...
The figure-rise piccolo has such well done baggy knees considering how simple they are.
Pertaining to the question of the day, i never saw the sh figuarts evil buu until your review. Never even knew about the character. Bought it because its awesome lol.
The green of the forearms looks like a teal compared to the mint of the rest of the robe
The cameras picking it up weird. Not nearly as noticeable in person.
I’ve been looking for a good Tanjiro figure, this is probably the one.
I would highly recommend getting the SHF Kaiju No 8. Easily has the best butterfly joints I've ever seen on a figure. It's super easy to put his whole arm across his chest.
I purchased this figure a while ago. I really liked the Asian look to it with the sword & scabbard. However, I came across it on Facebook. The story is really interesting. The episodes are short but impressive, and the action is great. Thanks for a wonderful review.
It’s the same sword with a different hilt from another character
Not exactly the same sword haha, remember he has had to get a new sword 3 times thru the series.
Hey Anthony nice review say would you be interested in reviewing the brand new street sharks figures
I'm going to review at least one. The one with roller blades
i hope to add this figure to my collection, i love Demon Slayer
his name is Gonpachiro Kamaboko
To answer the question of the day. I do buy random figures once in a while. I am a toy photographer, and while I do tend to stick to the series I know best, I will buy random ones from time to time to push my creativity.
I thought you were JUST going to review the pants for a while lol
Well, if that was to be the case, the video's title would be something like SHF Tanjiro action figure PANTS review😂
Off topic, but I really look forward to you reviewing NECA TMNT. A lot of good figures have been released since your last review!
We started watching this anime about a year ago now and my sins and I love it so much just as much as Dragonball or Kaiju no.8 bought this guy and his sister and have the next preordered they hooked us with another line lol definitely a fun show and fin figure just wish would have done the torso better awesome review Anthony👍👍
Anthony I’d love to see how you would design or go about making baggy pants, more akin to the Kenshin ones, better articulated without sacrificing aesthetic. I had once tried and couldn’t come up with anything that would realistically get past 90 degrees. I figured your familiarity with a large range of figures, designs, and plastics would help you reach a better design then anything I could come up with. Would you be willing to give your take? Thanks.
The same engineering you see here is basically how it should be for figures like these. Kenshin could have the exact same type of joints
@@AnthonysCustoms I just figured the range would be a bit less for pants like Kenshin’s. Plus I do think the way these pants bunch lends itself to help the design more then other styles.
How about the baggy pants on the Goku model kits?
Those are ok
Definitely grabbing this
as for space i throw my action figures and statues wherever i can the living room, the home office, the garage, the dashboard of my vehicles have rotating nendroids, and my office. I get stares and unflattering reaction but f them, i have a few aquaintances who have thomas kinkaid replicas hanging and friends with monster decals all over their trucks.
QOTD: I used to get some figures based on them being good but over time now due to lack of space I only cherry pick my favorites based on characters. I try to go with one favorite character per series I like to have a variety with the limited space I got
Similar for me, except more based on money. Figures have become too expensive for me to impulse buy based on just design nowadays.
@@Zakjuh Yeah personally been looking to 'retire' from collecting. Since i primarily collect Hot Toys the hobby is just starting to price me out. I have a few open spots for 1/12 and 1/6 reserved for a few specific characters and I'm done. May swap one out here and there but not going to be nearly as active as I used to be.
I buy certain figures especially I like that weird and or cool , like something like Evangelian , I know nothing about it , but the figures look nice
Btw Anthony any plans on reviewing Kyuwei( Cui) from Dragon ball Z?
Yes
the most recent figure i got i actually am not familliar with at all, its the shapes collection jin sakai from ghost of tsushima by spin master, its like the first time spin master actually did anything close to an adult collectible line so i wanted to try the line out and chose the cool samurai guy , its actually pretty good, the only real problem is lack of accessories , fore sure trumps almost any marvel legends release, and they did do a good neck ball joint right on the first try, might want to try out the line yourself
😮HOLY SHIT. That figure is crazy!
And for the question of the day, I do sometimes buy figures from characters I don't know about or care if the figure/character design is great.
I lean more in the toyetic side of collecting. I am a Transformers fan and have many figures of cool characters I don't know.
That said, of course having a good figure of my favorite characters that I care the most about STILL takes priority in my collection.
question do you think it can be done for a goku?
yes
He's from pokemon
I’m thinking of getting this since I know I’ll regret not having him if they make a zenitsu
Yes is Demon Slayer and it's pretty cool, you should watch it
I buy the figmas based on anime and have gotten into their franchises a few times. Konosuba being the recent one but that was a while ago.
For a swordsman the torso range is good
I'll definitely be getting this. I been wanting demon slayer figures. Figma and buzzmod are overpriced for me.
i love this figure, especially at the price point. Also you should watch Demon Slayer, it's a really good action Shonen and is paced real well so it's easy to binge.
I hope they are making Zenitsu very soon, SHF nezuko is so very good, much better than the figma.
Bandai know where the money is. Demon Slayer is a hot property (still kinda mad it overtook Your Name as the highest grossing anime movie of all time), and making the entry level figure _this_ good is how you bring in new collectors. Especially when Demon Slayer already has other import figures, so they needed to nail this, and they did. The best SHF anime figures seem to be the ones where they actually have (non third-party) competition, like Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer, with some outliers like Naruto and Kaiju No. 8.
This figure is easily top 3 of the year for me, one problem is that I feel Bandai has zero comunication between teams cause some lines like Spy x Family (a very problematic line for me) have problems that other lines with similar designs don't, so this baggy pants will probably not be on any line other than Demon Slayer, cause is Bandai being Bandai.
I barely buy figures of shows I dont know, with the exception of kamen rider. I love the design and i dont necessarely watch the shows
QOTD: Not very often, only when it’s a good price or a design that catches my eye
Qotd, If a figure design looks really cool, Is made really well, or has a gimmick that makes me say I need this in my life, I will flip a coin and debate with myself to justify if I want to spend the money for it. That said, I have a lot of really cool looking figures I have no knowledge of. One of my favorites is some dude sitting in an electric chair, and when you hit a button he shakes like he is being electrocuted. Think it was a MacFarlane thing from the 90's. It never hurt to give a figure you have no knowledge of a chance. It may surprise you.
The only thing this figure is missing are breathing and water and fire effect parts.
Those knees are the bee's knees.
I told you so, the knees are great 😂
Watch Demon slayer it's also good....( I told you so(me in the future telling you after you watched it)😊)
haha hope you do check out the anime before getting ride of the figure
demon slayer is really cool, definitely worth checking out if you haven’t. just had to put that out there for you lol. thanks for reviewing this! gonna pick this one up
Bad part about the demon slayer line is only this one is $35.00 the rest like his sister is $75.00 each
@johns3153 Honestly for $25 the McFarlane Demon Slayer figs are a pretty good competitor to these imo
@@johns3153 i kind of expect that from an import line but i’ll be sure to check out reviews to make sure the more expensive ones are worth it to me. i’ll probably end up getting them anyway because i love the show lol
@@Zombub good to know, i’ll have to take a look at those too
@@sir1179 i do to but it kinda gets expensive after awille
I mean, that's the "Tamashii quality" right there. Great articulation all around on this figure but don't share this tech across the other lines as if they're competing internally, allegedly.
I will say that the toe joints are bad though, if going by what you have been saying how toe joints should be.
I would buy figures of characters I don’t know but I can’t afford to so I haven’t yet
Sometimes, bandai is like Hasbro they like to go backward. Look how good those knees, Kenshin is crying in the corner 😂
Demon Slayer is my favorite Anime of all time. Story, art, characters, music has it all.
im still so pissed about the problems I had with my berserker armor while paying 4 times the price than this
Heat of Passion? What issues did you have? Was it the shoulder joints? That's the only actual like... fundamental design issue I've seen.
@@Zakjuh no my first one got a loose left leg joint and when i tried everything to re tighten it the ball joint snapped and got stuck inside the socket. I had to sell it for 30 bucks after that bc no one is gonna spend money on a figure with a decimated leg. I was upset so i brought ANOTHER one, and not even 2 days after owning the new one its left leg also became really loose. This time i fixed it with paper, but i shouldnt even need to be doing that for a 130 dollar fig that i brought tiwce
Sir big fan
W review
Yee it's demon slayer x3
Please man watch the anime.🙏🏽
The anime started good and went strong through the middle (entertainment district arc) but damn did the author get bored or uninspired because the last half felt rushed. I finished the manga and the ending is just like jackass the movie final skit "son of jackass".
Yea, supposedly the author had some health or family health thing going on at the time, henced the rush to the finale. At least it didn't overstay it's welcome.
I just really do not like the way they have been doing the upper thighs
Popular opinion demon slayer is mid and the figures are mid as well they could have used a bit of soft plastic with a butterfly joints on the jacket
First part is right. Demon Slayer is mid. Figure is not mid.
wouldn't be a cheap release if that was the case
@@Sebastian_AG1792 it's 35 bucks on Amazon rn
First and awsome
@@Ultamitezwarrior2 You were not first
@@froakie14bro can I just comment first on one video without someone saying your not first💀

You need to check Demon Slayer out when you have the time Mr Anthony!!!
Is it over? I did watch some but never finished it
