Thanks for sharing, and it's nice to see you taking care of the car. Few remarks; you may want to close the backdoor very carefully. I'm not sure if your closing mechanism still works, but it definitely doesn't like to be slammed. Just lay the door on the latch and press it one click, the mechanism will then secure the door with a satisfying 'brrrzt-click' ;-)
Second, that rust wasn't that bad imho. It was deepish surface rust, but that kind of rust I would have just painted Hammerite over it and called it a day. Nice to see you doing it so thoroughly tho! Keep up the good work!

Hello friend! Absolutely right about the boot. More often that not I am actually a lot more careful, sometimes the weight of the door mixed with my focus on something else gets in the way of the gentle approach. In another video I actually do mention that the locking mechanism sounds a bit "crunchy", which should probably make me even more cautious. Luckily though, I do have a spare mechanism not that I want to install it before absolutely necessary.
Regarding the rust, you're probably right and I could have saved myself a lot of time :D I saw this very much as practice, so I wanted to go all out and test all the tools. I think for future rust treatment I might way the options a bit more and go for a less intrusive approach.
Anyway, thanks for watching my video :)
