This set was my huge dream, I perceived it absolutely stunning as a kid and I still do, though I never had it, I think some of my friends did have it. Jesus, it's marvellous, and those bandits minifigs - just awesome.
I was really lucky, when I was around 15 I bought a few boxes of random Lego parts and found 2 of those roadplates! Years later I discovered that they only came in this set wich made me super happy! I rebuildt one of them and have it on my shelf now :)
Love this lego series. I have all the sets, exept for "Boulder Cliff Canyon", but this hide-out was always my favorite! Rebuiling them now as a matter of fact!
Just built the set and i love it! You are absolutely right though, the interior can be improved but otherwise a great set. The only other thing i don't like (and not just in this set) is how LEGO didn't provide either 1x2 or 2x2 bricks for the BURPs to cover open spaces on each side. Fortunately an easy thing to fix.
One of the last sets I got as a kid before my dark ages started. I love it, still have it! Great review of yours. And I also like the mods you did to the back... I also always felt it was a bit under-furnitured there :-)
That's one cool base plate! Love all the traps in this set. The inside could have had a bit more, but they left space for just that if someone got imaginative.
Glad you like it! This was the biggest Lego set is ever owned up to that point, so I definitely have some fond memories of it. And it was fun adding the custom interior! 😎👍
Thanks! Like I said in the video, I would’ve loved a straight version of that baseplate... it would make for a cool Western main street. Thanks for watching!
Very interesting, i for sure look this video back, when rebuilding this set. That interior lacked everything indeed. Yours look great, well done! Love these reviews. Very nice done!
I remember going to a yard sale and getting a box filled with legos and finding 3 cavalry guys , half of Dewey cheatum and a bunch of rifles and pistols
There look to be moderate yellowing on a few of the bricks- the full house tile and a 1x8 old light grey brick. Other pieces looked yellowed but those 2 stood out the most. I recommend using the hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove the yellowing, so the set will look its best!
I find those stacked rifles strange. Why not replace them with brickbuild gatling gun? I loved big ugly rock pieces as a kid. If they made sets much cheaper, even better.
I really like the modifications done on the interior, especially for the backside of the rock wall. Even if there was an undug mining spot that can be excavated, like something even the bandits haven't found. It still has a great profile considering no other western set offers a gold mine or prospector perspective. Thanks again for the review.
I had this set and i played so much with those figures. I think Wild West was my favorite Theme because when i sold this set my figures where quite used out. I got around 40€ for my set when i sold it but it was not complete thought. But i always wanted the other Wild West Sets especially the Wild West Town Sets. But i never got them thought. Also i love the Adventurers Sets especially the Desert Themed Ones. I had 3 sets and i love them and i still own them.
I never really got why people would sell the sets? but did you sell it or not, because you state you sold them, but still have them? I had mine in the storage for 20- a 15 years, but never even considered selling it, even still got the paper manuels. Its ostalgia and lot of memories, and for me it is just not worth it to sell for a few bucks....
Another great review! Although I must admit I am not that amazed by the set. It's classic and looked great back in the day, but the playfunctions are a bit behind those of other sets. Perhaps I'm missing a trapdoor for uninvited visitors :P
I was always afraid of losing my cannon balls as a kid, so I prefer the non firing type. I am glad Lego tried to make it up to kids when it came to the regulation.
I wish I had this I'd add a second c shape road like a s and extend the mine a medium sized headquarters for the bandits on the building in the middle table for cards or with a map or two planning the next bank robbery weapon rack another section beds or separate rooms for beds not perfect but just enough for detail and slight realization pluss I have few more gang members that joined over the times

That’s awesome! This was a great set, and I have a lot of fond memories of it. Glad you get to experience it yourself! 😎👍
Lucky !
U lucky bastar*
You're making me jealous
I have no recollection of having this set, but I definitely had this baseplate, so I guess I must have.
Love this lego series.

I almost bought the baseplate for this the other day. It was all warped and stepped so I reconsidered.
Also: awesome simple mods 👍
Thanks! I really felt like it needed SOMEthing inside!

God I loved these so much. All the new faces and pieces that were introduced during this time.
I am glad that my older cousins got this set, that way I Can make mocs using the minifigs

I wish Lego was still like this.
Me too!
Lego sucks these days. The magic went out the window the day they started to only do licensed sets.
Great set. I never had any western sets, but I think I would have enjoyed them a lot. Maybe after Castle and Pirates my favourite theme.
I love this set, never got it ;‘)
It’s never too late! 😊👍
Another great video, keep it up!
Thanks, Steven! Glad you liked it!

it is my favorit set
I won this one and it was my second biggest set I owned ... had a lot of fun with it

So cool ur so good and u review any single detail THX YOU FRIEND S
Thanks for the introduction to this theme. Seems pretty cool 👍
It’s an awesome theme... I’d love to see it make a comeback someday!
Awesome set! I love the hideout modification!
Thank you! 😎👍
Awesome set
I miss BURPs.

I agree - it’s definitely dated. As I mentioned in the video, I think a big reason why I like this set so much is pure nostalgia.
How many Lego 2010 semi trucks can fit this set accept the baseplate
I was always afraid of losing my cannon balls as a kid, so I prefer the non firing type.
I am glad Lego tried to make it up to kids when it came to the regulation.
yo this is ballin
Awesome base plate
Ahaha they didn't trust Americans with a firing cannon :D

Amazing mod!
i have it but the bad it are fire function on the cannon i dont ned fire function:(
I had this set when it was new
I wasn’t around when this set was released! But I loved the look of it, and it was this channel that inspired me to get it, it’s on its way now 😁
I love big ugly rock pieces. Ain’t a thing ugly about them
Even if the interior is lame, the extérior is playable
And my personal preference is for the non-firing type of cannon.
Without le set i think i can actually make this set, ecept i think im gonna replace the b.u.r.ps
2:01 he are better white a rifle
