    THE QUESTIONS I ASKED DURING MY INTERVIEW ( NURSE PRACTITIONER POSITION):
    ✔️Vacation time?
    ✔️CME time off and reimbursement?
    ✔️Length of time for orientation?
    ✔️How much time do I have for routine visits vs physical exams?
    ✔️Tuition reimbursement?
    ✔️Malpractice insurance?
    ✔️Loan repayment?
    ✔️Health insurance offered?
    ✔️Are most of the employee's happy here?
    ✔️Can I shadow a nurse practitioner before accepting the job? (at least 1/2 day to get a feel for the office environment).

    I'm so glad to hear you be consistent about prayer! I'm a new grad ACNP that has a ICU and CTICU (Heart and Lung Transplant) background. I have applied for 50 plus, and counting, NP positions without a bite and it's getting frustrating. Then 3 days ago, I watched your video "WHAT IF I CAN'T FIND A JOB, OVERSATURATION". It was conformation to me that I have never been a quitter. I'm walking in God's path for me. Today I got the interview call for my Cardiology dream job. God raised up what I asked in 3 Days just as he raised his Son. I am his son also! Now, I'm preparing for my interview with your video. Keep blessing us all!

    I love your videos! I am so far away from becoming a NP but it is a goal that I am willing to work hard for. I am currently a CNA in LTC and it helped me grow as a person. I start LPN school at the end of August and I cannot wait. I really would like to transfer to the hospital and work on med surge to gain experience and then start my prerequisite classes and finally apply to the RN program and get my bachelors degree. I am going to work for a few years before I apply for the NP program because I feel like having experience especially from CNA, LPN, and RN will help me be the best healthcare provider that I can be, as well as know first hand just how difficult others people's jobs are. I enjoy watching your videos, they keep me motivated for my future :)

      Yes! I am so excited for you!!! You have such a bright future!!!🙂
      You remind me of myself... CNA, LPN, ASN, BSN etc.
      I'm glad I went in steps because the experience makes the transition a lot easier : )
      Keep me posted😉

      Nurse Lada I've taken the same steps you have. I've now been in healthcare for 17 years and am planning on starting the FNP program in Jan or Aug depending on which program I get accepted to. Excited, nervous, anxious; just a bucket of emotions right now.

    You’re the 1st one who mentions praying. Amen. I love it sister. I have an interview next week about 3 hrs long in total with 5 different people, I’m definitely praying about that one! I’m a new grad, It’s my first real NP interview and I’m kinda nervous about the interview and exactly my plan was to fast about it the day before the interview.

    How significant of a change has becoming a Nurse practitioner been for your life? For instance, financial freedom or the perks of being on this level of Nursing.

    I love your video. The volume was really low. The music made it worse. May I suggest that you get a microphone to wear on collar. Maybe it's because your not close to the mic.

    Thank you for the video. Is it appropriate to be reading your questions from your note during the interview because you said to write down the questions. Thank you

    • @DrLada
      @DrLada  8 лет назад +1

      Hello there!
      I had a small notepad and when they asked if I had any questions I smiled and said "Oh, yes I have a few!"
      They thought my little notepad was cute. I think doing this will also show you have given the questions some thought and you are truly interested in the job.

    i like your videos the volume is super low though. I was wondering of you know about dermatology nurse practitioner cause thats the specialty i want to do, but i never really seen any one on youtube talking about it, right now im in my second year of college im not really sure what i should do to become an np. should i just saty in a community college and get an associates then go to a 4 year or should i go to a four year college that that has a progrom where you can get a masters in 5? Thanks i hope im making sense .

      Hello there! Yes! I was trying out something new with a new microphone and it was too far away! I won't try this technique with my next video😩
      Anyway, Experience as a registered nurse will make your transition to the NP world a much smoother one, so your decision of going the ASN -BSN -NP route vs going to a school that offers a 5 year program is a personal one.
      As far as finding a 5 year program - the only problem with that is:
      Will you have the opportunity to gain experience as a Registered Nurse?
      Experience as a registered nurse makes EVERYTHING easier when you go into the NP program :)
      I am sure you know my story : CNA-LPN-ASN-BSN-MSN / NP ~ so going that route is fine too : )
      Don't get caught up in length of time 😘

    Hello, I'm in a FNP program right now. I still have 2 more years to graduate, and it's getting more intense and harder as the program proceeds. I've been thinking about quitting my job as a RN and just focusing on my FNP program since I'm financially stable and I can afford my tuition. I have a question for you. Is it necessary to work as a RN while I'm going to school for FNP program? Are the years of working experience as a RN important on my resume when I look for job opportunities as FNP? Please help me!

    • @DrLada
      @DrLada  8 лет назад +1

      Hi! How long have you been a registered nurse?

    • @katejin77
      @katejin77 8 лет назад

      I forgot to tell you. It's really difficult to make my work schedules that work for my classes and clinicals.

    • @katejin77
      @katejin77 8 лет назад +1

      +Nurse Lada, I've been a RN only for 2 years, and I have 2 years of working experience as a RN in a med-surge unit.

    • @DrLada
      @DrLada  8 лет назад +1

      I can definitely relate. Experience as a registered nurse is most definitely helpful however, it is not always possible to work AND go to school. I did have to cut my hours and a few classmates quit their jobs due to stress - so you have to do what's best for you.
      How long have you worked as a registered nurse?
