- Amazing! 8 year old Angelina Jordan, winner of Norway`s Got Talent 2014, performs Dinah Washingtons "What a Difference a Day Made" on the opening show of TV 2 singalong summer hit "Allsang på grensen" on Thursday June 3rd 2014.
The song was written in Spanish by María Grever, a Mexican songwriter, in 1934. Originally, the song was known as "Cuando vuelva a tu lado" ("When I Return to Your Side"). The song is also known in English as "What a Diff'rence a Day Makes", as popularized by Dinah Washington.
The English lyrics were written by Stanley Adams, and was played by Harry Roy & his Orchestra. It was published in late 1934. The most successful early recording, in 1934, was by the Dorsey Brothers. (ref Wikipedia)

I have many favourites singers, but Angelina’s voice and her style to sing is MUSIC by itself. In Latin language “Music” means all arts 🎭.

This one's a gem. Imagine the experienced singers in their 30s being asked by the music director to back up an 8-year-old. The rasp, the soul, the delivery. Dinah Washington would be proud. I knew you'd enjoy this one.
I don't think the back-up singers had a problem singing for Angelina since this was after she won NGT & she was already a superstar in Norway. She was a National Treasure back then, now she is a Treasure of the Universe!

I don’t know why she doesn’t get more public advertising or going on talk shows because she deserves more publicity and have more concerts for people to go see
steven mclaughlin it's to do with her parents who are shielding her from publicity. They are determined she has as normal a childhood as possible given her gift. They are strictly school first and music in her own time with only one or two exceptions. Her family have turned down records deals from Disney and others. Angelina wrote a heartfelt thanks to her family for keeping her safe in her song "Shield" take a listen ..it's wonderful..)) cheers..

There is no rational way to explain how she does that. Beautiful and unusual voice, perfect pitch, perfect timing and the ability to project her spot-on interpretation of any music directly into your soul. As one judge put it, "She IS music." And now, at age 14, she just gets better and better. Is there a limit?
Angelina provide to the world so much joy and beauty, and as she gives new life to all these classics songs, I really belive she makes todays music richer, brighter, better and even much more enjoyable. She gives us all a wider and stronger view of what music is all about, I think.

Angelina was born with an innate ability to interpret a song and then convey that song in a way that few, if any, have ever possessed before her. She was given that gift, but we are the true recipients.

I think we are mistaken in looking at her like an 8 year old, or 13 or whatever. I think she is a timeless entity, and age has no meaning, at least when she goes into that special world of hers. She said herself that she only feels '12 when I look at my passport'.

This is my favorite "Baby" Angelina performance (6-9 yo). She just closes her eyes & goes to that beautiful place in her mind & I just become mesmerized. I recently came across two young girls on YT covering "Fly Me to the Moon". Both of them said they were covering the "Angelina Jordan version" of the song. I think they believe it is her song. With over 50M views of this song by AJ on several YT channels, I'm not surprised. They probably don't know who Frank Sinatra is. Except for Angelina's vocal fry/rasp, it's eerie how similar their voices are. Just blows me away that Angelina can perform this song like a full grown professional singer.
