Musical genius! Should have gotten way bigger & famous then they did!!!
All the members of Focus made it look all so easy. An experimental band to the core, and knew how to jam with expert craftsmanship.
Van Leer realizes the musicality of the human voice like the great composers did, because he is one.
Thank You for posting this outstanding video of Focus concerts. I saw them live at Winterland San Francisco in l973 doing their Moving Waves album. That was almost 50 years ago and remains in the top 5 of the best concerts I have seen out of 100s. I became a fan of Hamburger Concerto also when it came out in 1975. Focus was one of those asronishing bands that could play their complex pieces live PERFECTLY.... just the way listeners like myself memorized it from their LPs. Each one of these players was exceptional then. Their talent and mastery of instruments have stood the test of time and remain exceptional by all of today's standards. Their style has never been duplicated either. Long may their music enlighten and inspire!

I saw this Focus tour; they headlined Friday at the Baja Prog festival in Mexicali. Great show, but Thijs was unable to play the flute that night (dental issues), so it's great to see what we missed!
