One of my friends theorized that Dedusmuln's seasonal bits is his whole body, with the head being Dedusmuln and everything else being essentially hair. He believes that this is shown at the end with the head splitting open and releasing those things.
Mason's definition of "Hylics" isn't really different from the whole Gnostic one. The Gnostics believed that "Hylic" people were incredibly ignorant and stupid, concerned only with material things like food, sex, and wealth, rather than intellectual or spiritual pursuits. It's kind of like the modern idea of an NPC.
At 23:43 the unused offices were actually in the game on Hylics's very first release. I have seen video footage of it somewhere. The area could be accessed during the first dracular cutscene on the island by walking to the bottom right of the island, Wayne would then appear in the office. Though I don't personally know what there is in the office I do know that talking to one npc at a desk (possibly the boss) simply says "Wayne you're fired" and then it gives you the unused gameover screen thats just a white screen with blood on it. Thought that it was neat seeing as it was at one point playable even though it was unintentional.
Some have mentioned that what Deduslmuln's head turns into is supposed to be a sage token receptacle. How people interpret this is because of his who archeology background, he literally become the sage of archeology.
I think the reason that BYKB isn't in the official OST might be because it uses an instrument from the Sonic the Hedgehog Soundfont (I don't know exactly how copyright works with soundfonts so this could be false). As for Pongorma's fight theme, your guess is as good as mine.
Late to the party but, could the "other rules" (I think it was this vid that mentioned it, but I binged all three at once so I may be confused lol) perhaps be a reference to a line said by Odozeir in the end-game concert? He mentions that even though the Hylemxylem failed, he's going to try to take over again, which involves a "Larthulvool" and a "Trellebozur". I don't recall seeing these names pop up anywhere else in game, so it could perhaps be a hint, esp since we can see what appears to be his head and another member of his species in the recent screenies Mason showed on his twitter
Mini-Wayne isn't a sage, he is seen in the last cutscene of the game. also there are only THREE sages this is the actual in-game lore. I would also rather believe old Wayne is on his way to becoming a sage.
One other weird thing regarding Dedusmuln's "death" in the ending of Hylics 2: his head then becomes... a Sage Receptacle. I dunno if any a this is meant to represent anything, but me thinks it could be symbolism for how he had kids and then kept on pursuing research on artifacts from the Age of the Sages. I'm probably wrong, but this is the only answer that both makes some sense and is wholesome, some I'm sticking to it. Also... the previous Hylemxylem was the Moon? Odd. So was it the Moon that caused the Accretion? This is honestly not super clear... This may be just me, but I think Gibby makes a distinction between the 'xylem, and the satellite, which, as stated by him, Wayne destroyed. Unless he was talking to the rest of his party instead? Again, hard to say.
Gibby straight up says that the Wayne you are playing as was the one who destroyed the satellite in hylics 2. He SAYS that wayne wasnt around to see the old ship that he just revived, as gibby is from the time of the sages and wayne is younger than that. And the ship and moon are clearly NOT the same thing.

Hey, I just want to say this video is really good and definitely an improvement to the previous hylics iceberg
There's actaully another theme not on the ost, that being Moon_surface. Which plays before you enter the hylemxylem on the moon.
i am your biggest fan
GAAH these r so exciting i can't wait to see more

Tomb shrub skip? Wait, you're not supposed to be able to do that? :D
My lord
Thx for this
God I wish hylics 1 and 2 had a map maker kit or something
Love the shirt! Where'd you find it?
Hey, it's on Mason's Teespring, which can be found at: mason-lindroth.creator-spring.com/?
@@HarryButHarry thanks!

Okay, it's there now 😅

You're very cool
Is that... axiom verge ost in the background?!❤
It's the Hylics OST! I've never played Axiom Verge, but I've heard it's good, definitely on the list.
Great share! Like! 👍
Damn, we could've been playing thicc moon gal in part 2. Sad.
I don't think the 'xylem is the moon. I take it as more meaning that era.
If hylics 3 or whatever comes out and chuck is still the composer I'll be extremely sad
