Okay I just wanted to throw it out there that I misspoke stating that they spoke “Dutch” instead of “danish”
We speak Faroese
Yes. I was incredibly shocked when you said that. Twice.
Then again, most Americans get them mixed up
Y'know I'm honestly surprised at just how frequently Americans mix the 2 up.
@@TheRedBaronHP Yeah exactly. Faroese is a nordic language but completely distinct from Danish. Probably more comparable to Icelandic and even the Old Norse languages used way back in the Viking age.
The new Danish language, dutch..
If it means they get Stroopwaffels, I’m all for it.
They speak Danish, but it is not there first language, its Faroese
As a Dutch-American, I’ve heard this mistake all the time 🤦🏼♂️
Please also note that Faroese is not a branch of Danish. It is a North Germanic language, just like Danish, but it’s a language in its own right and is more similar to Icelandic than it is to Danish.
@@TheRickyLeviDenmark owns faroe islands 🤦🏼
Thank you for noticing the overall hospitality and friendliness, which is typical for faroese people. It is a small remote country and nobody is treated like a stranger
Totally! It was wonderful!
SWF had always been known as Stewart Newburgh, until the Port Authority took over the airport fairly recently and re-branded it to NY Stewart. When it was built at the dawn of the jet age, it was envisioned as a massive transfer point, linking jets from North America to flights around the globe. So they built it, and no one came.
Good notes about Stewart. I wonder if the growing budget transatlantic options will help to finally start bringing in more traffic
@@PatrickSheaAviation Good deal for the carriers. Norwegian subsidized CBP facility and parking improvements. Very low delays. All they need is the transport link! (Of course, in the 60s, there was to be...what else...a monorail!)
The stickers are were the flight crew member gets the best view of the engine and wing if they need to observe any problems.
Yea!!
The stickers are where a crew member can see the slats and flaps if there is a loss of position info on the ECAM.
Great video! Thank you for covering this new route.
Thanks!!
Cool video, thanks for the info. Look fwd to your next Faroese adventure✈
Thanks! Definitely have to get back out to the islands!
As usual your clip is Amazingly brilliant, besides of all your descriptions so accurately; flying from the Faroe Islands to the US! Wow; this is a place I would love to visit one day; also the photography you used in your videos is quite pristine; just fancied it...simply brilliant Patrick 👍
Appreciate it! Thank you!
Refreshingly different trip report, thanks! Others have already commented on my peeves (Shenzhen and Dutch), but it was good to see something so different suggested to me by the YT algorithm 🎉 Too bad that they chose an airport in the middle of nowhere for this route. IIRC Norwegian (LCC) served the same airport prior to the pandemic with some of their Trans-Atlantic flights. The problem for an airline with codeshare flights is that there is are no proper intra-airport transfers. Like if I was flying to the Faroe Islands from US West Coast, I would still have to connect through KEF or CPH because Atlantic Airways chose not to fly to EWR or JFK. I am thinking the reason they chose SWF rather than another smaller New York area airport is because they needed an airport with CBP facilities (not available everywhere).
Yea, from what I've heard, Port Authority was trying to build facilities for a low cost carrier airport, and Islip, Teterboro, New Haven, and White Plains all were proved less viable for one reason or another
Thank you for this extra cool video!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
I’m assuming other flight RUclipsrs were planning to do this one. You are the first ! Your channel is taking off Paddy! Keep it up!
Thanks!!!
Big day for the Faroes 👍🇬🇧🏴
Looks fantastic, this route will be a success
It’ll be interesting to see if it can fill the planes successfully!
So cool that there’s a direct flight to the Faroe Islands !!!
Agreed! I’m hoping they actually return next year. Apparently they were using this year as a trial run
That meal looked fantastic. Yum.
It was pretty good actually! Especially for a budget airline!
I remember the way maersk air used to operate 737s to the Island when the runway wasnt longer than 1250 meters.
the modification that was done to the 737-500 (known as the -500sp) and the additional training...
That's awesome!
Very interesting video. I'm Danish myself although I've never been to the Faroe Islands. Still, like the crew told you they do a lot of charter flights for Danish holiday companies, and I was actually on one such charter flight earlier this year. Specifically from Copenhagen to Malta and back. This airline was great. The seats were much more comfortable than what you typically get on Nordic carriers, the entertainment offering is miles ahead of all other airlines in the region, the food and coffee was on point, and the crew were great. My return flight from Malta was on April 1st so when we pulled out of the gate and taxiied towards takeoff, the captain joked over the loudspeaker that our flight had been diverted and we'd be flying to the Faroe Islands instead, which got a good chuckle out of anyone.
I'd probably say Atlantic Airways is one of the best airlines in the Nordics and their small size probably helps a lot. With only 4 airplanes and 2 helicopters they're right at that size where they can provide a very good and personal service while the whole organisation is close knit. Not really any kind of CEO overlooking everything while being distant. I'm honestly surprised you consider them a low cost airline, I'd think they're full service. All economy cabin is already standard on European full service carriers with very few exceptions
Also I know that Stewart airport is very far out form the city, and I'm at least glad there's a direct intercity bus to the city from there but that price... jeez, 25 dollars per passenger PLUS booking fees. That is really expensive, especially for a trip of that length. Almost sounds like a ripoff. It'd probably be much more viable if it was 15 or 20 USD flat per passenger.
All good info. I guess the reason I see them as low cost is the all economy cabin, the style of seat, lack of IFE screens, but largely the extra cost for food/drink/etc. Doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed them. Regardless of whether they classify themselves as low cost or not, it was still a wonderful flight and even better crew
Thanks for vlog, Patrick, just to share that 'Shengen' (E.U. area) is pronounced ' Shen-Gen ' with a 'G'. Hope that's helpful.
I was going to say the same, it's pronounced with a hard G. Shenzhen is a city in China! 😉
Or Sheng-un.
An interesting vlog. My days of budget travel at 6ft6 a tad taller than you are over so its business class for me on long haul flights going forward. That said id consider low cost long haul if it had seats such as you would find on Domestic First in the US. Thanks for taking one for the tall team!
Ha! You got it! Thanks!
Want to try this flight! Thank you for the video b
Good luck getting on it! Thanks!
Hi Patrick, splendid review, just one thing, as a geography nerd, at 20:15, its icebergs, not glaciers, but other than that, splendid review, I hope to go to the Faroe Islands one day on Atlantic Airways!
Just to mention if you don't know, there are never icebergs in the Faroe Islands.
@@TheRedBaronHP that was in Iceland...
Awesome!
@8:40 we dont speak dutch but Faroese.
Our language is a branch from old Germanic. Where Danish, Sweden and Norway did their modern change of a similar language, but Faroe Islands and Islands were different, cause of our Isolation and our roots in old Norse rune language, we still speak it today.
That was very interesting. I've watched videos on the Faroes. Would be fun to visit. My brother used to fly from Stewart to Texas ever so often as he lived kind of near SWF. He loved it. I'd be very interested to see if they continue the gourmet food service. That was really quality food. Puts UA to shame.
The food service should remain the same, but it’s not free. You do have to pay extra for the meals
25:03, Wow, that's a very smooth landing. Hope you enjoy your flight, even though it's the longest Airbus A320neo.
It was a great flight. Energy was great the whole flight and made the time fly by
Nice. Very cool.
Really amazing given that the Faerø islands only got their own airline in 1990 and Atlantic used 146s until about a decade ago.
Agreed! I do wonder if any of their operations are subsidized just since it seems like a lot of their flights aren’t full. Regardless, it’s great to see airlines in remote parts of the world
@@PatrickSheaAviation I’m guessing seafood in the hold? That’s how Icelandair makes money.
Congratulations! The most difficult part of this trip might have been positioning yourself in the Faroe Islands just in time to catch this flight .... and being the first to edit and post the trip on RUclips 😀
Getting there on a tight schedule made me nervous as there was only one flight that could get me in in time. Busy schedules suck sometimes… super glad it all worked out though!!

I Wish Moore Airlines Have Personal Air Nozzles.Great Trip Report
Agreed! Thanks!
Thanks for this informative guide. Important (but side point) is that the only UK destination on Atlantic Airways is EDI, and it is a very popular route. Would have been good if you had mentioned this.
Thats interesting and good to know. I’m curious to know how busy their flights are since my flight from Copenhagen to Faroe Islands was also only about half full. Makes me wonder if these flights are subsidized by the government at all
At one time, that flight used to continue on to London Stansted, back when the route was operated by a BAe 146. It's a shame they discontinued that leg.
Hat was an excellent review of what it was like to go from the Faroe Islands to Stewart Airport. Too bad the crew didn't stay at the West Point Military Academy Thayer Hotel. It is close to the airport and is a beautiful location.
The crew seemed to stay at a Marriott and then the rest of the staff took the busses to the city and stayed there for a while
Ok...others have mentioned that the language is Danish not Dutch. If you'll permit a granny this small correction. The zone in Europe is pronounced SHEYN-G'IN. Your pronunciation sounded more like Shenzhen in China.
Best from Switzerland.
Good notes. Thanks!
And the principle language in the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 is Faroese rather than Danish.
I was lucky to go to Faroe Isles in January and noted that when we arrived at Faroe (and Copenhagen on return), they played a heavy metal riff over the PA, both times. As a Norwegian, I enjoyed that, but did the play that when you landed at SWF?
That's super interesting. I don't recall if they did play that. There was a ton of conversation and excitement on arrival, so maybe it was tuned out a bit
I hope this will be a permanent service making the Faroe Islands easier to go to!
It would be wonderful! I guess we will see if it continues next summer
That "UMM" at 26:00 was like a jump scare lmao
Connecting to the metro north is a lot easier than you think, after you leave the airport, get an Uber to get across the I-84 Newburgh-beacon bridge, then go to the metro north in beacon N.Y; i know that it would seem impossible as a foreigner, but as local it is very easy.
The train times didn’t seem to sync up with my timing. But typically the Metro North is a great option, although still not too close to the airport, still requiring a taxi or Uber. If Port Authority really wants SWF to thrive, they’ll have to connect it a little more direct
I think you might need to realise that 1. Uber is still really expensive and 2. Uber is illegal in most of the Nordics, which is the main market that flights to and from Stewart serves right now so people aren't really that familiar or even comfortable with those kinds of travel and would prefer a normal bus line between the airport and the train station. Or alternatively the intercity bus direct to New York City, but with a pricetag as high as 25 dollars plus booking fees per passenger, that's likely gonna scare off many passengers from even using airlines to Stewart airport in the first place.
It's very intresting to see small places getting flights to big places, especially when it's so far away (kinda)
I agree! It’s great to see
Nice video 😃
Just one thing about the public transport. The busses are only free in the capital city of Tórshavn. ☺️
Good to know! Thanks!
Klaksvík to
@@TheRedBaronHP Oh, I didn’t know that. I haven’t lived there for 14 years and back then it was only in Tórshavn :)
Great video! At 12:58 You mention New Haven or Stewart being options for alternative NYC airports, does New Haven have immigration facilities for incoming flights? If I'm not mistaken it's basically only domestic Avelo flights at the moment. I travel between Connecticut and London a lot and a direct flight from London to New Haven would be wonderful! It takes like 4 hours to clear immigration at JFK and get the train to New Haven, so I'd be willing to pay a little more for a direct service.
New Haven doesn’t have immigration, at least for commercial flights. But I believe Port Authority was willing to establish an immigration office at an airport if it made sense. All somewhat of a moot point now that Stewart has become their choice for a few years
New Haven is commencing flights to San Juan, PR in November. No immigration/passport required.
looks interesting, a great way to arrive in to the NY area without having to go near any of the big airports. Living just over an hour from London (England) I wonder if the the flights would work for me.
It could be a great NYC alternative, but they’ll have to connect it better to the city. Right now it’s quite a hike to get to the city
You could provide more info about ATG systems, ground stations and internet providers on the airplanes you fly as well. It is strange that no commercial passenger aviation vlogger do ever mention it. Max what is mentioned are 5V power sockets, gadjet holders and wifi price. Nobody even ever tryed to use at least garmin inreach or any other more interesting communication device on the airplane (I am not saying that you have to transmit; just receiving and recording would be more than enough for us).
Hmm that would be interesting. Good idea
Great video. Thanks. I have family from the Faroes…..hence my interest.
FYI, SAS is not pronounced as a word……but letter-by-letter. Like KLM or TWA.
Thanks! And that’s good to know, I’ve heard it both ways
This is actually very convenient for me since I live only a 1/2 hour away from stewart
That's awesome! Now you just gotta adventure out to the Faroes
This is a NONSTOP flight and not really a Direct flight, correct? (I know many use those terms ambiguously, but they really are two different things). But aside from that, another excellent video from you, Patrick. 9.812
Correct. Technically it is a *nonstop* flight
You mention Schengen early on... well, the Faroes are not part of Schengen. But there is another thing called The Nordic Passport Union, which means that you can travel between any Nordic country without showing your passport.
I hope they bring this back next summer. I don't mind 2 hours on the metro north (probably how long you'd wait on customs at jfk anyway), but I don't think I can come up with $2000 in less than a week!
Totally agree. I hope it comes back too. The more nonstop flights that exists, the happier the aviation industry is
1:37 Question, about the location name of another airport in that sign, why did they named Stewart Int'l Airport (SWF) just "New York" instead of "Newburgh, NY" or more specifically, "New York-Stewart" to not confuse with LaGuardia or JFK? Not many people in the Faroe Islands know about Newburgh, NY, although I know New York City have 3 major airports which are EWR, LGA and JFK, but SWF is just outside Metro New York in the bi-county area called the Poughkeespie-Newburgh-Middletown MSA and is part of Metro New York's CSA and have Stewart Int'l Airport (SWF) as the only airport in the US to have a non-stop flight to the Faroe Islands.
I think it’s just because the Port Authority wants to consider SWF as another NYC airport alternative. Now if they can only connect it better
How long did you stay in the Faroe Islands? I was there in 2019 and ❤ the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴
I was only there for a few hours for this flight but I definitely have plans to go back now and actually spend some time there
The food acutally looked so good and tasty, No one left that plane hungry or thirsty i guessed
The food was wonderful, although they did cost extra so I’m guessing that there are a good handful of people that don’t purchase a meal
@1:11 “Schengen” is pronounced sheng-gen. It’s a hard G in Gen like how you say Gun.
The way you pronounced it would almost sound like Shenzhen, a city in China.
Bro...no one refers to the airline you mentioned as 'SAS'. It is referred to by the individual letters 'S.A.S.'.
Another FYI is it stands for Scandinavian Airlines, who's parent company is Scandinavian Airlines System, which is where the abbreviation comes from.
But anyway, good detailed video as usual. 👍🏻
Yep. Although a good amount of people in the industry near me just call it “SAS” although there’s a solid chance we just started calling it that incorrectly years ago
I live i Denmark and here people say both, sometimes SAS and sometimes S.A.S @@PatrickSheaAviation
If they market the flights to the out of state people that use the nyc airports it can work pretty well.
It would probably help, but most people will have trouble getting to Stewart since transit doesn’t get you there entirely and the available flight connections are extremely limited
Why the in flight map shows LENINGRAD??? :D
Patrick that airport is in NY… not in NY City…. Is close to the metro north last stop. And they can ever go to Canada. I live in Albany NY and its not 1:30 drive. Is less than an hr drive for SWF… i know cuz i drive to NYC all the time.
Interesting. Well it is still disconnected from the city, as you’d still need a taxi or Uber to get to the metro north stop. I ended up having to drive to my hotel in NYC and it was a little under 2 hours to get there with minimal traffic fortunately
Have to say that the flight attendants there are attractive. Yeah, been following other videos by flight attendants on other airlines, the turn around time is normal.
Norwegian tried doing transatlantic flights into Stewart not that long ago. Don’t know how successful they were but the airline went bankrupt. It’s a plucky airport but the real draw for the New York market is the business travelers, Newark is wonderfully positioned if you live or work in lower Manhattan. Generally, the NY area has fairly good connectivity to its airports but the big downsides for Stewart is that it lacks rail access. There is a ferry that connects Newburgh to Poughkeepsie across the Hudson River, and that does have a Metro North rail stop. But there isn’t a dedicated service directly to Stewart and the state would have to invest a considerable amount of money into a new terminal at Stewart as well as explore the rail connection as an option.
I’m not sure if Stewart specifically contributed to Norwegian Long Haul’s collapse as they chose a number of secondary airports to fly in to. But I do agree that Stewart could become an excellent alternative if they only are able to better connect it to NYC
The ferry connection is from Newburgh to Beacon. Unfortunately it runs only during commuter times. That said, Beacon Station is only a 15 minute Uber ride from the airport.
Norwegian didn't go bankrupt. They bankrupted some of their staffing-subsidiaries and had to cut their losses when the pandemic came. It is correct that they applied for bankruptcy protection and had to restructure the organization. This meant they cut their long-haul routes, returned their 787s and reduced their overall fleet. Norwegian essentially focused on their core routes within Scandinavia and Europe. SAS, their main rival, is currently doing the exact same. They exited bankruptcy protection in May 2021 and is now mostly operating 737-800s, with some MAXs still operating from Copenhagen.
Fun fact: Norse Airlines is basically the same as the old Norwegian Long Haul. They fly the same planes with the same classes and the same destinations. Only now, they're doing it without the same possibilities of transfering like old Norwegian had 😅
Norwegian was very successful at stewart, their problem was the 737 max grounding, they had to lease other airline's planes which got too expensive for them so they decided to stop those flights
@@meeperfive Yeah. They had a really unlucky streak but nowadays it's probably viable to merge with Norse Airlines who essentially took over some of their long haul business and slowly but surely expand a bit again.
stickers are a reference to where the wing is
Yeaaaa!!
Haha the guy next to you with box of tunnuck tea cakes
Yes!! Although he did end up moving. There was enough empty seats that pretty much everyone had at least one empty seat next to them
Even if you’d said *Danish*, I’m not sure it’s right to say Faroese is their version of Danish. Faroese is more closely related to Icelandic I believe.
It was Norwegian Vikings who came to the Faroe Islands and Iceland and settled, the language is Old Norse. A Dane does not understand the language.
That's gonna be the trend. No more wide body planes, they gonna go for efficiency.
It will depend on the route. The widebodies will remain on the high capacity routes, but we will definitely see a rise in the narrow body long haul to serve lower capacity routes
@@PatrickSheaAviation
Point to point, rather than spoke and hub...
Hello There, Do US citizens require a visa to visit Faroe Islands?
They don’t, although I believe I heard something about US citizens soon needing some online authorization prior to entering the EU. Similar to what they must do to enter the US
@@PatrickSheaAviation Great....Thanks much for your help 👍
@@PatrickSheaAviation The Faroe Islands is not a member of EU.
So, after the 60 days the route is done??
It’s only going to do about 5-6 flights this year and then the seasonal service will end until next summer
Stewart Newburgh has always had a very bizarre history…Not too surprised, actually, that this small airline was flying into Stewart… While they’ve lost most of their domestic carriers (American, which was the first airline that ever served SWF had long left and I believe the only domestic service they now have is Allegiant….but they’ve also had flights to Iceland, and now, I guess, Faroe Islands! Also, calling Stewart Newburgh a “New York” airline is quite hilarious, as it’s at least a 90 minute drive away from midtown Manhattan! Luton is closer to London!
It’s an interesting choice as an alternative as there seems to be other airports that would be better suited, but I guess Port Authority decided SWF would be best. I do laugh at them marketing it as “New York”
for pilots to check the wing area
More so for flight attendants but yea
my english is by around 80% but by many things i moust use google translate, right now i moust us it to find out whats inaugural means.
“Inaugural” means the first time that an event occurs. In this case, it’s the first time this flight ever happened
👍great
Thanks!
They start flying to the uk
Imo I have to say this route won’t last long. Since most people prefer flying to EWR,JFK. With widebody aircraft
Yes, but you can’t reach the Faroe Islands from there as easily unfortunately
I concur with all of your narrative. It maybe a good idea to write a detailed letter to the secretary of tourism in the Faroe Islands this way should this test run of FI to NY survive then they should be looking into Islip in Long Island or Teterboro Airport in the little town of Teterboro, New Jersey just a 35 minute drive into NYC. Also a Airbus plane with wifi, with premium economy and business class also flat screens behind every seat for movies and everything else. I guess they are having growing pains. Thank you for everything.
I'm not sure we will see those types of changes, only because the Port Authority put a bunch of money into making Stewart Airport conducive to international flights. Islip, Teterboro, New Haven, and White Plains were looked at, and determined for one reason or another to not be suitable or desirable for these flights. Regarding their onboard product, Atlantic Airways is definitely a budget airline and for that reason, I have my doubts that they will invest in those upgrades to the cabin since that would put them out of the realm of "budget airline"
It cost 876 dollars for a flight to USA and back, without a hotel it is that a budget airline.
Sorry, quick correction, the Faroes are NOT in the Schengen area, they are not even part of the EU. As a citizen of an EU country I need a passport to go there.
Interesting, coming from Sweden there were no passport checks although maybe that’s just due to some internal deal with Scandinavian territories
@@PatrickSheaAviation Well, I did not say our passports were actually checked. We arrived by ferry from Denmark, but it was obvious we are not Danish by our license plate. But we were told to absolutely bring passports, not just ID cards and they verified during embarcation of the ferry. But you are right, the Faroes might be covered in the Scandinavian council agreement.
@@bi0530 ah got it
@@bi0530there basically is this thing about the nordic countries and moving around freely.
I know you can move around completely freely between Denmark and Faroes if you're from either country but I am pretty sure the same goes for Sweden and Norway atleast for travelling, not sure if moving is as easy, since Faroes is part of the danish kingdom.
Never heard of that place.
It’s wonderful!
Shen Zhen is a place in Southern China, close to Hong Kong. The area you were in is Shengen.
Yep. That was mentioned a bit lower in the comments. Thanks
Interesting video and hope it will be a success. But I hate when people do videos but fast forward them, it kills the vibe. Next time, leave the video as it is, I like to see the uncut or un-edited because that is where I can see the authenticity of filming, just saying.
Only the yellow city busses are free. if you travel between towns it's not free

I had no idea the Faroe Islands people are Dutch speaking. My guess was Danish.
Precisely, The Faroe Islands are a self-governing part of Denmark and the languages spoken are Faroese and Danish.
Great video. But guess the language was not dutch.
Yep I got that one figured out. Thanks!
I prefer widebody jets with IFE
Yes… but some people will prefer whatever is cheapest regardless of what perks you get. Hence the reason why Ryanair and Spirit still thrive
Really inconvenient airport. No way will I go to Stewart Airport. Very few buses from New York City to the airport. In fact I believe only one bus. It's a deceiving to write New York. It aint New York. However would like to visit the Faroe Islands. But no way on this flight. Greenlandair tried a US route to Washington DC I believe but they stopped it. I had no idea though you could go by train. I thought it was only the bus. Maybe it's more convenient but 2 hours vs. 1 hour to JFK with one taxi.
The train isn’t the most convenient as you still have to take a taxi or Uber from the station to the airport which is about 15 minutes away. But it does offer some other option at least. I agree that if the Port Authority wants Stewart to be a legitimate option to NYC, they’ll have to connect it to the city somehow
First?
Out of all the airports in the USA to fly to, why SWF? I would think EWR, JFK, BOS or even ISP would be a better choice and likely to attract more passengers. Choosing SWF will doom this route to failure and I don't see it lasting more than one season before Atlantic gives up on it.
It won't even make that, it's scheduled to be 5 flights, once a week.
It is a seasonal flight, and the airline only needs enough passengers to make the route profitable. I am confident that those who desire to visit the Faroes will gladly drive away from NYC traffic to fly out of a small, hassle free airport.
They close SWF because JFK and EWR slots are hard to get.
@@matthewemm7787So fly to BOS then.
SWF is preferable to the larger airports because of the operating costs. Even if you can get gate slots it drives up cost significantly. SWF has seen multiple low cost European carriers in the last 5-10 years so it’s not totally out of pocket. I do wish however that they could connect it to NYC a bit better
7 hours on a A320? no thanks. and yes, the Stewart Airport isn't positioned well if you want to go to NY City, but it saves you a lot of traffic if you don't go dwntown
That is a fair point
No one calls Sas. It’s ‘SAS’
I’ve heard it both ways, and I tend to pronounce it both ways. That’s just how I pronounced it on this video
ok
danish not dutch
Dutch????
Danish.
Faroese. They have their own language, very distinct from Danish. Faroese and Icelandic are both very close to Old Norse.
@@tally1604 You are correct. Faroese is the official language of the Faroe Islands. I meant no disrespect when I said Danish. The reason I commented Danish is two fold: First, the Faroe Islands is an autonomous territory (of the Kingdom) of Denmark. Second, the backs of each seat has the word Vælkomin, which means Welcome in Danish.
Be really careful about accepting a sandwich “for the road” on a international arriving flight to the US. If it contains meat or veggies and you don’t declare it on your customs declaration, you could end up in a world of trouble. Google the story about a woman who took an apple from her Delta flight and ended up with a $1,000 fine from US customs.
Wouldn’t you have needed to speak Danish NOT Dutch? They are completely different languages.
Yea probably. Although they do speak a different branch of the language (Faroese) on the islands
They don't speak Dutch on the islands, rather Faroese and DANISH.
And they prefer salty whale fat over salty licorice like the Dutch and Danes.
