This is the feeling I have as the characters develop into this story, Sam continues to be careful and practical, Woods appears to be teetering between practicality and just getting even, and Matthias seems like he's seriously borderline wiling to do whatever it takes to end the competition with phantom.
iv seen one of the we are 863 videos before watching this, and they suggested that Matthias, Woods and Sam are developing into characters similar to Nelson, Wes and Deb. And rewatching through the videos it seems to be quite a prevalent factor of the characters' personalities
Story-wise, Matt's painted himself into a corner with the whole tracker thing, it doesn't help to withhold things from your team, just a simple "It's planted, but there's no time to bring it up right now, we gotta follow him." would have been enough. Also not a fan of the boys being so intent on destruction, Sam is definitely the one thinking straight right now, I hope her character in this series has Sam reigning them in when they get too off course. I imagine it'll take her snapping and taking complete control of the situation for Matt and Woods to start listening, though I hope their CHARACTERS can recognize this on their own. Still loving the series, can't wait for more!
Definitely agree. I don't know why they started writing their characters like this, but Matt went from "Dad boss who wants to protect his employees" to "Reckless man who just wants to take action". It just doesn't make sense to me, and it's been kind of taking the fun out of the story for me. I mean, "We have to read these documents now because it might be important to something that's in this RV" doesn't make much sense to me, especially because they could've instead guaranteed they'd still have later access to the RV by planting another tracker before setting the tap/wire/whatever down. As Sam said, if they had been careful enough to make it look that they hadn't been there, Wesley wouldn't find out, which means he wouldn't worry about his location being compromised, which in turn means the gang would have access to it again. It's still an entertaining story, but I feel like it's somewhat losing itself.

(although i do find it fun to look into those other possibilities. it makes the next episode so much better with a plot twist.)

right? like his point of him doing everything to keep the studio safe and them not trusting him, they have trusted him the whole time and the second they doubt him he just talks over them.

He is making decisions that are reckless and that is influencing Woods to be just as careless because Woods does trust Matt. Right now I think Sam is the only with a level head and she saved them from a serious threat. Matt needs to see that the way he is acting isn't good for anyone .
Yes, tho you should put yourself in EACH of their shoes. Like how if you look at it in Mathias’s shoes he’s under a lot of pressure to keep everyone safe. Maybe he’s just tired of having all that weight on his shoulders. AND when you put yourself in woods shoes, He just got literally Assaulted. Yes, this has always been about the three of them BUT now to woods it’s getting a little more personal. Like don’t get me wrong or anything but, it was always about the THREE of them and now woods has gotten literally assaulted.
Matt was triggering me so much this episode. Like bruh take the papers, plant the phone search for serum and quickly dump out the stuff he's working on and LEAVE. I would be out of there in under 5 minutes lol. It was tough to watch but in a good way! It was intense
Ikr, same! You can literally analyze all that stuff later, there's no need to read it all in the RV when we know we don't have tons of time in the first place. He seemed on edge more than usual in this episode, and I'm wondering if that's going to make sense down the line.

Matt, the team trusting you involves you being honest. You could’ve told them what your plan is while you were chasing the Phantom. There are situations when you just simply don’t have time to explain so then the team just has to trusts you, but last episode wasn’t that situation. You could’ve told them, instead of stretching the time out. I don’t think Matt’s point was valid enough to explain why he hadn’t told them he planted the tracker.
And this isn't the first time Matt has avoided telling the team about placing a tracker in an episode from way earlier in the year he had a tracker on the mountaineer and didn't tell anybody
I can never watch videos that are 30+ minutes because my anxiety is like “you’re wasting your time, you could be doing something productive” but this series is the only exception. This distracts me from the troubling things in my life. Thank you so much!
Luckily for you this episode is only 26 minutes long lol! I'm teasing ya, I do understand where you're coming from. There is a lot of content on RUclips that has runtimes over 10 minutes that I often stop and ask, "Am I okay with putting in that kind of time investment?" But this series and a tiny handful of other channels I know will always be worth my time.
It's funny though isn't it? I'll debate random 1 hour videos on other channels but then I'll watch 3 20 minute ones or even 6 10 minute ones with the same randomness without a second thought 😂 it's really kind of dumb when I think about it logically for myself

Six 10 minute videos could be more focused on getting across more information or entertainment about six different topics in those 10 minutes than a rambling 1 hour video about one topic. For context, a 10 or 20 minute video about light bulbs would have to be more concise and get to the point quickly as a result of the time constraint whereas a 1 hour video on the same topic has more potential to go off topic or waste time with unnecessary filler just to pad the runtime.
You can’t really trust someone as well when all of a sudden they become aggressive and vague with you, and i can see woods just agreeing with Matt to not argue like last episode.
When woods asked mat why he didn’t tell them that he planted the tracker he avoided the question and victimized himself which is sus. Btw: I know this isn’t real mat and he’s acting no hate to mat at all he’s a great guy I’m just doing a character analysis

Honestly, I believe the real Matt has some issues too. He acts frustrated when Sam asks questions, and Woods has an alternative idea. He wants everything to go as per the script, and can't tolerate any changes. He argues with Woods all the time, so this episode Woods agrees with him the entire time, causing Matt to like him more and say "My man".
Anybody else think they keep making the same mistakes over and over? Like they make a plan and then don't follow it, they jump into things without thinking, they focus on the wrong things in certain moments. The phantom is literally outside the RV and Matt is like "I have to check this", seriously prioritize! Just grab it and go! They had plenty of time but you wasted it by reading those documents. I'm assuming this is for the sake of writing and keeping the story going but it seems like they have a hard time learning from their past mistakes and now that tension is building within the team and appears to driving a wedge between all of them.
First that was like a book critic paragraph, was a very detailed description and a great way to pick it apart and describe it- besides that I think that’s the point of the story. The build up of them making the same mistakes till they all break and point fingers at eachother instead of learning. Since in the story they’re all under a lot of pressure and stress with everything, it’s a very common way people handle things like this.
One of the most important things in story telling is when a character does something that a human wouldn’t actually do, it becomes bad. They do so many things people wouldn’t really do solely for story purposes. It shows that Matt’s not a professional writer.
Can we all appreciate how amazing this world is? Creatively: this is awe-inspiring. Emotionally: this is so impactful to thousands of people; in real time. As an aspiring writer, I honestly am in love with this world, and am ALL about this. I long to be able to create this level of world building! "Don't forget to breathe," is 100% correct!
These episodes are getting better. Dialogue is getting better as well. I like the way you guys have developed Matt's character arc, the tension it brings to the team relationship keeps things interesting.
Is it just me or is the vibe of season 2 all off? Season 1 was fun, with Overkill, and the jokes, but here all they're doing is argue. Matt seems frustrated, they're all saying random stuff, and Woods is blindly agreeing with Matt because he doesn't wanna set him off like last episode again.
I think that its just that season 1 was very- i dont know how to put it- like- there was a lot more inbetween because it was still a vlogging channel, showing what was happening around the place season two focuses a lot on the story, and its less discovering things and more doing Its really hard to write something once most of the mystery has been solved, so i dont blame him i still really enjoy the new stuff in my opinion, i want to see the characters build more-
I’m pretty sure they said something on the behind the scenes about the attacks not being personal in season one, thus the light hearted attitude, season 2 brought a lot more lore and character specific details and borderline creepily detailed information. Also character arcs lol
Anyone else think that Samantha is the only one who actually have their head screwed on right ? Matt's getting to reckless and woods seems to be gass lighting him.
Not to mention she was completely correct about everything - the guys wasted way too much time arguing and debating with her about irrelevancies when they should have stayed focused on getting the serum and getting out. The papers were a good find, but, again, instead of wasting time reading them then arguing about taking them, they should have just taken them with the serum and got out.
Here's the big issue the conflict of do we disrupt their RV or not. Well the original plan was plant a phone and don't make it look like no one was there. If you want to be steps ahead don't expose yourself being there. If you wanted to set them back on their mission then go ahead and make a mess but know if you make a mess your changing the rules of the war game you guys are playing. They will come back harder now at you and you don't even have a look on the inside of what their up to.
@@trvlsurf4150 I think that after season one he realized that his old approach did no good and subconsciously tried to change his persona and therefore change the outcome. Or maybe he got tired of being pushed around and decided to fight fire with fire. Either way, this change in character is taking a turn for the worse for his team. Also poor Quinn. The first time he tags along for the mission and they almost get got.
To be fair if my business got broken into and one of my employees got literally attacked, I probably wouldn't be the same person either. Especially when that employee is also a good friend, I would want to hunt that guy and give him a taste of his own medicine too. 🤷🏻♀️

This episode was intense! I'm a smidge mad at Matt and Woods. Seriously, they put the team in danger. They're getting a little reckless! their attitudes towards all this is changing and I don't know what to think. And what did Sam do to buy the others time to find the serum and get to the car? When they knew the Phantom/Wes was there they really should have just left instead of searching for the serum. This is just my two cents though.

Sam was so brave running in there to distract Wes. She is a legend! And I literally thought Sam was gonna die! But all of you guys made it just in time! I’m happy that Matthias care about his family and his employees. He know that his family may be at risk so he is trying to do the best he could but also his employees are in danger and he takes risks to stop Wes and Nelson. ❤️✨🎊⚡️
Theory: Since the letter said “you need to stop the injections”, and “it is a mind controlling serum”. I think that Wesley was on Deb’s side until Nelson Captured Wes and gave him that mind controlling and now Nelson is controlling him mind making him collect the serums. And the letter was written by Wes however Nelson had not injected mor serum yet. Just a theory and remember to breathe
I agree I think it’s Wes who injected the serum into himself because nelson gave him it and now he’s addicted to it or he needs it to survive that’s why he said in the letter If you can’t give me the antidote then I need the serum
TBF the letter never said "its a mind controlling serum" but only said "it is warping your mind and your body". It also implied manipulation but did not really lean to straight mind control. It seems this is Wes and for whatever reason he needs the serum to survive and to keep getting the serum he is doing Nelson's bidding. What is also interesting is that from the letters it seems this did not occur because of Nelson but occurred because of Deb but Nelson is using it to his advantage.
@@Browncoatful ye I think it was both nelson and deb as she said she can’t blame it all on nelson which in my mind implies he did part of it but not all of it and I think the serum is making him kind of do as nelson says by making him believe everything nelson is saying to him and not really letting him have his own opinion in a way
I think it's not so much mind controlling as it is substance controlling. Through the letters we can see that Wes still has his mind although it is warped. I think this might be that he is totally dependant on the serum in the same way an addict is dependant on drugs. It sounds like Nelson is using that to take advantage of Wes, promising him more serum when he completes tasks for him. I've seen (at least in TV) people doing the same for drug addicts. Deb tried creating an antidote to get him clean but he'd already grown too much of a dependence on it
Reason: If someone repeatedly broke in to your business and hurt people and took things, wouldn’t your demeanor change? I don’t think people read into that for some reason. Prediction: This is for Sam’s character arc, so she can take over and come into the limelight. She feel underused as a character in this series so far and that is why. This would also lead to the moment when they actually find things out.

I know! This isn't the Matt we know at all and it's making me think that he knows more than he's telling them and Us! It makes me nervous to think that he's planning to take up more than he can chew.

The Subjects run into Wes and they start yelling at each other. Suddenly, Wes pulls a dart shooter out, and it hits Woods. The only way to save him, is for Deb, (who's remotely watching) to come to the scene and give him a dose of serum. Sam's obviously concerned about Woods, and since she's the only one who has a clear mind, Deb talks to her while tending to Woods. Matt, then attacks Wes, but get knocked to the ground. Just as the other guy goes in for the kill, Woods slams into Wes, and he goes after him. Woods now is like the Phantoms, because he was injected with the serum. Stronger, faster.
This is beautiful. The character development, the tension, the music, the acting, the story it self is just amazing. I literally feel like I'm watching a Hollywood production movie. Your work is amazing and as someone who is obsessed with the film industry I cannot tell you enough how much I love this series you've nailed everything even to the tiniest detail. I'm really enjoying season 2 so far, there is a lot more action and drama this season which I love especially the drama between you three. The mixed opinions that lead to risky dictions and arguments, you're really committing to your characters and I don't know how many takes you do but that last scene was so cool, I have no idea how you managed to not crack a smile while doing everything you needed to do for the scene to flow, and yeah it was just amazing, keep at it. Also love how Sam goes in the end: these guys are crazy I'm out of here.
I feel like this is one of the only episodes in which Sam starts breaking down. Like, usually she’s the calm and collected one of the group but in this episode she was the complete opposite. Interesting character development
I disagree. I think she was being the voice of reason. She was telling them to take the documents for later and look for the serum. She was trying to keep them on track because there was a time limit. They almost got caught because Matt wanted to read everything right then instead of taking the documents and reading them later.
This is just wow. So much info. Sam MVP. Letters?. More serum then We lost. The intensity in these videos are crazy. love this series. As soon as the video ended I wanted MORE it was getting so good

I know me too. Like he clearly made a big mistake but doesn’t wanna recognize his mistake!! But Matt said it was such a problem that Woods dropped the walkie talkie that time!! Sam’s no better!! She doesn’t do anything but just sit there and fuss about the whole thing!! She could have helped them at least a little bit!! She could have at least warned them that the car was coming in their direction! She can see where the phantom is going yet she didn’t say anything until it was too late!!
I’m surprised how consistently intense these episodes are, they’re genuinely great entertainment and the fact that we see it basically out of their eyes and experience it in what feels like real time just increases the intensity. Well done guys!! By the way, what’s Quin’s (in-character, in-universe, whatever) opinion on being there for this stuff?
I'm starting to see parallels here between the 863 team and Syntec. Matt is turning into the extreme leader that is more stubborn and reactive and acts on instinct, but thinks with the bigger picture, like Nelson. Woods is slowly seeming like the high-up follower that knows that the leader is wrong sometimes, but doesn't want to lose his trust so he follows him anyway, like Wes. Sam is the calm one that tries to think things out and be prepared, legitimately staying ahead of the competition while trying to keep the company's best interest, like Deb.
Matt’s reaction to wood’s question is kinda uncalled for. He’s asking for trust but he had panicked and said he didn’t plant it (the tracker) only to turn around and say he did. It’s almost like he’s had a personality switch and this new personality is kinda aggressive in a bad way
Haven’t seen the rest of the ep yet but like I’m kinda with Sam, y’all keep going out but with no like actual plan and I keep getting confused like what was the point y’all just rushed into it. I hope it’s a character thing that’ll be addressed later

Everyone has progressed in big ways because at the beginning they were all enthusiastic about finding keys and stuff because they ran right into a wall and they were smiling and now they are stressed and are getting angry at eachother
In future, if you ever get another chance, you should take a picture of the letters and read then later, also try to check out the house, bring a lock pick set, i think Woods said he can use them
Matt's character is getting way too irritating. Unnecessarily controversial. Maybe it's a way to move the story along and build tension, but it feels so forced its throwing me out the story entirely. I'm all for action and I would root for him if he was making smarter decisions.

I agree - I think it might just be that we know him from the past and youtube and here and especially in this series he is focusing on it being more of a character and he's making it too different from himself. I also agree with another comment that he a bit suspicious, I think he's just acting so different as a character that its not right. maybe its meant to be that way but if he thinks is character feels normal it doesn't.

There are many ways of breaking away from real Matt and this story's Matt...and I think he went in a very wrong way. It's an extremely unbelievable character. Nothing about him is realistic...no matter how "tired" you're of being pushed around no one acts like he does...he needs to figure out a better development for him character

I’ve been trying to figure out if maybe he’s just finally able to start developing this character into what he wanted it to be in the first place, or if he’s setting up a plot twist (like woah, turns out Matthias is a bad guy now) but honestly it’s obvious they don’t have formal experience with acting, and that isn’t a problem bc they’ll improve but right now it makes it hard to tell if it’s intentional or not.

The tension within the team this episode really got to me. Matt, I get that curiosity overshadows your fear, but please don't be reckless. You can be curious but also smart and safe about it. Listen to Samantha and Woods as you are in this together.

Matt was triggering me so much this episode. Like bruh take the papers, plant the phone search for serum and quickly dump out the stuff he's working on and LEAVE. I would be out of there in under 5 minutes lol. It was tough to watch but in a good way! It was intense
Ikr, same! You can literally analyze all that stuff later, there's no need to read it all in the RV when we know we don't have tons of time in the first place. He seemed on edge more than usual in this episode, and I'm wondering if that's going to make sense down the line.

Matt, the team trusting you involves you being honest. You could’ve told them what your plan is while you were chasing the Phantom. There are situations when you just simply don’t have time to explain so then the team just has to trusts you, but last episode wasn’t that situation. You could’ve told them, instead of stretching the time out.
I don’t think Matt’s point was valid enough to explain why he hadn’t told them he planted the tracker.

I'm teasing ya, I do understand where you're coming from. There is a lot of content on RUclips that has runtimes over 10 minutes that I often stop and ask, "Am I okay with putting in that kind of time investment?" But this series and a tiny handful of other channels I know will always be worth my time.
It's funny though isn't it? I'll debate random 1 hour videos on other channels but then I'll watch 3 20 minute ones or even 6 10 minute ones with the same randomness without a second thought 😂 it's really kind of dumb when I think about it logically for myself
@@pawprints1986 It's all about the content, really. Six 10 minute videos could be more focused on getting across more information or entertainment about six different topics in those 10 minutes than a rambling 1 hour video about one topic.
For context, a 10 or 20 minute video about light bulbs would have to be more concise and get to the point quickly as a result of the time constraint whereas a 1 hour video on the same topic has more potential to go off topic or waste time with unnecessary filler just to pad the runtime.

You can’t really trust someone as well when all of a sudden they become aggressive and vague with you, and i can see woods just agreeing with Matt to not argue like last episode.
When woods asked mat why he didn’t tell them that he planted the tracker he avoided the question and victimized himself which is sus.

Honestly, I believe the real Matt has some issues too. He acts frustrated when Sam asks questions, and Woods has an alternative idea. He wants everything to go as per the script, and can't tolerate any changes. He argues with Woods all the time, so this episode Woods agrees with him the entire time, causing Matt to like him more and say "My man".

Anybody else think they keep making the same mistakes over and over? Like they make a plan and then don't follow it, they jump into things without thinking, they focus on the wrong things in certain moments. The phantom is literally outside the RV and Matt is like "I have to check this", seriously prioritize! Just grab it and go! They had plenty of time but you wasted it by reading those documents. I'm assuming this is for the sake of writing and keeping the story going but it seems like they have a hard time learning from their past mistakes and now that tension is building within the team and appears to driving a wedge between all of them.

First that was like a book critic paragraph, was a very detailed description and a great way to pick it apart and describe it- besides that I think that’s the point of the story. The build up of them making the same mistakes till they all break and point fingers at eachother instead of learning. Since in the story they’re all under a lot of pressure and stress with everything, it’s a very common way people handle things like this.
One of the most important things in story telling is when a character does something that a human wouldn’t actually do, it becomes bad. They do so many things people wouldn’t really do solely for story purposes. It shows that Matt’s not a professional writer.

These episodes are getting better. Dialogue is getting better as well. I like the way you guys have developed Matt's character arc, the tension it brings to the team relationship keeps things interesting.
Is it just me or is the vibe of season 2 all off? Season 1 was fun, with Overkill, and the jokes, but here all they're doing is argue. Matt seems frustrated, they're all saying random stuff, and Woods is blindly agreeing with Matt because he doesn't wanna set him off like last episode again.
I feel like it’s on purpose, for Sam’s character arc. She has to take over and show them how to act, then they will figure some major plot points out.

Not to mention she was completely correct about everything - the guys wasted way too much time arguing and debating with her about irrelevancies when they should have stayed focused on getting the serum and getting out. The papers were a good find, but, again, instead of wasting time reading them then arguing about taking them, they should have just taken them with the serum and got out.

Here's the big issue the conflict of do we disrupt their RV or not. Well the original plan was plant a phone and don't make it look like no one was there. If you want to be steps ahead don't expose yourself being there. If you wanted to set them back on their mission then go ahead and make a mess but know if you make a mess your changing the rules of the war game you guys are playing. They will come back harder now at you and you don't even have a look on the inside of what their up to.

Or maybe he got tired of being pushed around and decided to fight fire with fire. Either way, this change in character is taking a turn for the worse for his team. Also poor Quinn. The first time he tags along for the mission and they almost get got.
To be fair if my business got broken into and one of my employees got literally attacked, I probably wouldn't be the same person either. Especially when that employee is also a good friend, I would want to hunt that guy and give him a taste of his own medicine too. 🤷🏻♀️

This episode was intense! I'm a smidge mad at Matt and Woods. Seriously, they put the team in danger. They're getting a little reckless! their attitudes towards all this is changing and I don't know what to think. And what did Sam do to buy the others time to find the serum and get to the car? When they knew the Phantom/Wes was there they really should have just left instead of searching for the serum. This is just my two cents though.
The acting skills in this one was incredible.

Theory:
Since the letter said “you need to stop the injections”, and “it is a mind controlling serum”. I think that Wesley was on Deb’s side until Nelson Captured Wes and gave him that mind controlling and now Nelson is controlling him mind making him collect the serums. And the letter was written by Wes however Nelson had not injected mor serum yet.

TBF the letter never said "its a mind controlling serum" but only said "it is warping your mind and your body". It also implied manipulation but did not really lean to straight mind control. It seems this is Wes and for whatever reason he needs the serum to survive and to keep getting the serum he is doing Nelson's bidding. What is also interesting is that from the letters it seems this did not occur because of Nelson but occurred because of Deb but Nelson is using it to his advantage.

I think it's not so much mind controlling as it is substance controlling. Through the letters we can see that Wes still has his mind although it is warped. I think this might be that he is totally dependant on the serum in the same way an addict is dependant on drugs. It sounds like Nelson is using that to take advantage of Wes, promising him more serum when he completes tasks for him. I've seen (at least in TV) people doing the same for drug addicts. Deb tried creating an antidote to get him clean but he'd already grown too much of a dependence on it

I've had one really scary idea on what's going to happen later in the series.
The Subjects run into Wes and they start yelling at each other. Suddenly, Wes pulls a dart shooter out, and it hits Woods. The only way to save him, is for Deb, (who's remotely watching) to come to the scene and give him a dose of serum. Sam's obviously concerned about Woods, and since she's the only one who has a clear mind, Deb talks to her while tending to Woods. Matt, then attacks Wes, but get knocked to the ground. Just as the other guy goes in for the kill, Woods slams into Wes, and he goes after him. Woods now is like the Phantoms, because he was injected with the serum. Stronger, faster.
This is beautiful. The character development, the tension, the music, the acting, the story it self is just amazing. I literally feel like I'm watching a Hollywood production movie. Your work is amazing and as someone who is obsessed with the film industry I cannot tell you enough how much I love this series you've nailed everything even to the tiniest detail. I'm really enjoying season 2 so far, there is a lot more action and drama this season which I love especially the drama between you three. The mixed opinions that lead to risky dictions and arguments, you're really committing to your characters and I don't know how many takes you do but that last scene was so cool, I have no idea how you managed to not crack a smile while doing everything you needed to do for the scene to flow, and yeah it was just amazing, keep at it. Also love how Sam goes in the end: these guys are crazy I'm out of here.
I feel like this is one of the only episodes in which Sam starts breaking down. Like, usually she’s the calm and collected one of the group but in this episode she was the complete opposite. Interesting character development

I disagree. I think she was being the voice of reason. She was telling them to take the documents for later and look for the serum. She was trying to keep them on track because there was a time limit. They almost got caught because Matt wanted to read everything right then instead of taking the documents and reading them later.

I'm starting to see parallels here between the 863 team and Syntec.
Matt is turning into the extreme leader that is more stubborn and reactive and acts on instinct, but thinks with the bigger picture, like Nelson.
Woods is slowly seeming like the high-up follower that knows that the leader is wrong sometimes, but doesn't want to lose his trust so he follows him anyway, like Wes.
Sam is the calm one that tries to think things out and be prepared, legitimately staying ahead of the competition while trying to keep the company's best interest, like Deb.

Everyone has progressed in big ways because at the beginning they were all enthusiastic about finding keys and stuff because they ran right into a wall and they were smiling and now they are stressed and are getting angry at eachother
In future, if you ever get another chance, you should take a picture of the letters and read then later, also try to check out the house, bring a lock pick set, i think Woods said he can use them

Matt's character is getting way too irritating. Unnecessarily controversial. Maybe it's a way to move the story along and build tension, but it feels so forced its throwing me out the story entirely. I'm all for action and I would root for him if he was making smarter decisions.

I agree - I think it might just be that we know him from the past and youtube and here and especially in this series he is focusing on it being more of a character and he's making it too different from himself. I also agree with another comment that he a bit suspicious, I think he's just acting so different as a character that its not right. maybe its meant to be that way but if he thinks is character feels normal it doesn't.
@@bethanycohu5089 I think he wanted to write a character that was different from himself like you say...but that doesn't mean writing a bad character...to me... that's all this is...very badly written character. There are many ways of breaking away from real Matt and this story's Matt...and I think he went in a very wrong way. It's an extremely unbelievable character. Nothing about him is realistic...no matter how "tired" you're of being pushed around no one acts like he does...he needs to figure out a better development for him character
Completely agree. I’ve been trying to figure out if maybe he’s just finally able to start developing this character into what he wanted it to be in the first place, or if he’s setting up a plot twist (like woah, turns out Matthias is a bad guy now) but honestly it’s obvious they don’t have formal experience with acting, and that isn’t a problem bc they’ll improve but right now it makes it hard to tell if it’s intentional or not.
I mentioned similar elsewhere, feels forced at moment, hope it gets ‘back to normal’ with the casts persons.

I think it's weird that Matt just wants them to trust him. He's always the first person to question something.
he has also said he is tired of all this and tired of always being a few steps behind, so he could be endangering everyone just to get the edge over the phantom.
