I live 5 or so blocks over from Seth and am doing an 88 SI clone with a DOHC ZC from my 88 DX. We swap parts from time to time, but this is the first video I've watched due to medical issues and not being able to work on mine.
Canada here...hey bud, just did all this on the 89'... plus head gasket, water pump etc...good ya....yup, the garnish is brittle, cracked mine...might hit ya up for 1, I have a 90-91replacing it and it's almost purple as compared to the red ones, not sure why...keep turning that wrench... one love
@@crxseth its such a small bit, i think the red from the rest of the lens that's still intact should have the effect of colouring the little clear piece. You could always experiment with adding a splash of red dye maybe or repair it with the epoxy, then just touch up the repair with the red spray tint? Maybe even mix some into the resin in the hope it doesn't react or effect it curing. Keep going with the good work, its shaping up to be great!
Hey Seth I have a 91 civic with a gsr swap . I believe I'm having an axle binding issue. I have a 92 b series trans and running da axles and knuckles and suggestions?
I was just trying to get the engine running so I put an order in for some cheap parts. I still plan to pull it and do maintenance items, and I'll swap them out at that time.
@@crxseth I wanted to share a video of my 91 CRX Si with you, but the link got taken down. Just hit up my channel, it's the last video I posted. I'm the original owner, bought it when I was 22 years old. Only has 35,000 original kilometers on it. Cheers.
You didn't repair the leak. The actual spark plug tube seals are on the bottom of the cam and rocker assembly. It's more work but very necessary. Get back in there and do it right.
I’ll probably change them out once I get further along. I am trying to get it running so I can get the title transferred and then I’m going to tear it all down.
restoring my 89 Si and looking for a center light (and other parts of course), as mine has chipped corners..... if you decide to sell please reach out.
Can you die epoxy red and patch the euro light? Just get the good kind with uv cure to prevent bubbles and it cure really quick if you stick it outside
Love the videos. Hard to find a clean or mint crx. Alot are beaters and expensive. Glad to see these being restored and at alot of car shows.

Yeah. The 90-91 are a different design. I actually need a 90-91 to complete a taillight set of mine. Maybe a trade?
You read my mind...I'll pm on ig...peace
I can't wait to see the Fire up
I hope it’s soon!
I managed to find an OEM thermostat in Denmark Honda... North America all Discontinued.
clear resin and wet sand the corner of the rear garnish to build the corner back up, should come out really well.
I thought about that, but will the clear be contrasting to the red lens?

It could be your engine mounts or the dust ring on the hubs if you didn’t remove it.
Nice
I am enjoying your videos. Just wondering why you'd put anything other than NGK plugs in a Honda...

Beautiful work. I've enjoyed watching this channel. Are you still selling the tail light decals?
Yes, I still have them available.
Sweet, etsy says you're taking a break. Where can I get them from sir?

Just curious did you slap some anti seize on the Autolite plugs? Ive heard those dont have the thread coating and have a tendency to seize over time.
I didn’t, but that might be a good idea.
Hi Seth where did you get the metal sunroof? Im looking for a spare one 🙂
Happened upon a used one for sale on Facebook.
Come on cuz gotta go NGK plugs lol

Love your videos my dude, I'm learning every video you make. Keep it up. By the way do you know were I can get oem bolts. Thank you
Thanks for the support!
You can get some OEM bolts from Honda, but the company RestoTuner also sells many replacement bolts.
I hope you gap those autolight plugs?

I’m not sure. I need to figure something out though.
@@crxseth i mean if it works it would be a cool video. Deff wouldn't test it on the euro one to start lol

that european centre garnish with fog light here in malaysia the price is so expensive bro compare to the jdm one
How dare you put autolite plugs in that car 🤣🤣
Shhh. It’ll probably be temporary.
I don't know if it's my phone or what but I can't view this in HD (1080)
It took a while for RUclips to process it, so it may still be having issues.
@@crxseth yeah, it’s probably still doing some tender to it, it’ll not be an issue in some minutes or maybe an hour
What did you do with the doors?
Which doors?
@@crxseth the old doors that were filled of Bondo
@@gokusprojects7368 They are in my back yard. Will be scrapped once this car is done.
@@crxseth ok
I think the fuel filter or lines are clocked wrong. The high pressure line is kinked. Might cause fuel supply issues. Just looking out for you man.
I’ll take a look and double check.
uh Sir NGK plugs ONLY
