Lyrics
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I’ve done my time as a prisoner of your wars.
In the middle of the night, got me bleeding out for more.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I detest your pitter patter in my chest.
A cruel conviction, thinking you know what’s best.
The way you tense up every time she’s near,
The way you give up when she disappears.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I’m waving a white flag at the foot of your shores.
In the middle of the night, got me bleeding out for more.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I confess I’m no better than the rest.
Creature of comfort, internal unrest.
Some days it takes me everything THAT I got,
Just to endure another miserable thought.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
What do I got to do to feel like before?
Running from an avalanche barreling down your peak,
Feeling like a stone sinking into your sea.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more,
Don’t hurt me no more.

This band is the soundtrack of my late 20s and my 30s. Perfect in every way.
My late 30s going into 40 I feel the same, ever since I saw them live I have loved them on some serious nerd level
I randomly found this song on Facebook. A little over a month ago my wife of 9 years left me. It's been hard some nights . This song hits so hard. That last chorus the way you belt that part out made me tear up. All I wanna do is be able to feel happy again without faking it. Thank you for writing this beautiful song.
I hope things get better for you, Phil. Life aint fair but you know that. Keep your head up & things will get better when you least expect them to.
@@youtubeyoutubeyoutube9961 thank you
sending love brother. just that.
Letting go is hard to do, no doubt. I went through something similar a few years back, and it took me some time to realize it was not where I was meant to be. 4 years on and I’ve met the love of my life, brought twin girls in to the world and have found passions that had passed because of the misery I hadn’t realized I was stuck in. Don’t weigh yourself down with thoughts of the past, just listen to The Menzingers back catalog and let them do the heavy lifting.
Hey man, I got emotional reading your comment. I can’t imagine what you’re going through right now, but I just wanted to send my love. I hope you’re doing okay today
The Menzingers write the best songs. This new record will be one of their best!
They've quite literally never disappointed. Definitely looking forward to this as well.
This sounds like a classic...
@@prhmusicliterally lol. they ripped it off
nothing is original, its all something we've seen or heard before, just another version of it. doesn't mean you cant enjoy it. @@jibran4691
@@jibran4691Cite what you think they ripped it off from so we can all compare, contrast and tell you why you're wrong.
Can't wait to go down to the local watering hole and reminisce while this plays on the jukebox 🖤
What a track. This is my favourite of the new batch of singles yet.
Greg pouring his heart out while Tom has a little grin and a jig in the background. You love to see it.
IKR Tom is loving it, and killing it. Love his guitar playing...and them white pants lol
Arguably the most timeless track you've ever made, guys
Non-stop repeat. Beautiful track. Can't wait to see this live in February. Got a feeling this album may be an all-timer
I just saw it this morning and I've played it a dozen times already haha.
@@Blimkat Why so few? 🤣 I'm sure you'll spin it plenty more.
oh yea you were right I think im in the century club now. again you will probably tell me "rookie numbers" haha
@@Alex-mu1rf
This reminds me a bit of Springsteen tunnel of love era for whatever reason …
I like this comparison. Didn’t expect to see this in the comment section
That’s some of the that 90s south street punk rock right there.
I just can’t believe people say punk rock is dead while these guys smash it in real time. They should be way bigger. I love this band. Just crazy to know about them and hear people talk about no good rock music being out there.
This song was so good live!!! Wonderful album! Please come back to Dallas! Always a good show from these guys ❤️❤️❤️🎶
Sounds like a cut from Greg's solo record, which was equally amazing. This is probably the best single I've heard from the new album yet. 🤘🏻
Future classic... these guys are just incapable of writing bad music. Bravo!!
I love them so much. I saw them 3 times and hopefully will see them again soon. They always put on an awesome show. I'm so glad that I discovered them!!!!
I love it. It’ll be on repeat all day.
Tom looks wild with that hair. Looks like he partied too hard the night before 😂
No I think he is just trying to let his hair grow back. It always looks a bit wild at first.
It's Paul Giamatti on a guitar baby 🤘
Well, I guess they can nail a midtempo groove too.
million of peaches, peaches for free, million of peaches, peaches for me
Thank you. I can't NOT hear that in this song.
I love this band, been a fan for over a decade. This new album had to grow on me some but its really solid.
there is an episode of star trek the next generation where data is listening to (I think) 14 different songs all at the same time, and no one understands how he can do it... that's how I am emotionally with nearly every menzingers song.
Got to see them 3 times in 2023 and what a great show every single time!
Seen Menzies 3x and can’t wait for another gig in February in London 🧡 love the new music so far.
love it
Just the best band out there. Love these guys.
I love it! ❤️
The growth in style and delivery of the subject matter is really impressive.
One of my best friends showed me this band about 5 years ago and last year he killed himself using fentanyl. I'm 24 and known the guy since I was 6. He was a punker and taught me how to play guitar when I was learning. First bro I smoked weed with I skated with every day etc. He always had a hard time with life since we were young and was quite the alcoholic I probably drink just as much now. I'm grateful for it all and him showing me this band and so many other punk bands. RIP Alex
All three are great but this one is my favorite so far.
J'adore !!!
You guys never made a bad song. Another perfect one to your list.
Can’t play this enough great song
I love u guys with all my heart!
These guys are the best thing to come outta philly since cheesesteaks!
I'm from Pittsburgh originally so hating on Philly comes naturally. 🤣 Between the Menzingers and Dave Hause, another one of the greatest songwriters to come out of nowhere this past decade or so, I may have to reconsider my stance. 😂
Scranton
can't stop listening to this one
Can't wait for the album!
Beautiful
Absolutely excellent song!
The little riff reminds me of Teenage Dirtbag. Love it.
Awesome song, great sound quality
Tom Petty vibes. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I had the exact same thought and I LOVE it. This is actually what I thought the final form of the menzingers would look like and I’m glad to see it.
Nope

Tickets to see them live in December. Can’t wait
Great Sound and Good Video ! Thanks !🔥🎸🔥
fantastic
Thank you
Amazing 😊
I can't wait for the new album. This is excellent.
One of best music video of band
My god, perfection!
Very good! Looks like I have a new band to collect!
this is just so comforting and soothing. like taking a first bite of a favourite sandwich.
As someone who feels like no one will ever love them I thank you for your music. It gives me a little bit of something like comfort to hold on to before attempting to take myself out of this world….
Whoa bro, I’ll be your friend! Don’t do it!
Damn. You guys never disappoint!
Ya vengan a México, porfavooooor!
Por favor!
Awesome song!
Awesome song and Location!
amazing 🥰
One of the few bands similar to brand new where every album is different and constantly good. I personally prefer the old punky jams but the new stuff still hits just as good. Great fucking band
I always wondered why I loved the Menzingers so much and after I read a review comparing their writing to Bruce Springsteen it finally hit me.
thanks for making more music
Being able to channel an emotion through your voice, in lieu of just relying on the words themselves, is something to behold. You can tell that he was tapping into some pretty shitty memories.
Best song of 2023
Yeah.
Just beg.
Just hope.
Just dream.
Life will show
no mercy at all.
I get dwight yokum country vibes i like it lol
Good comparison. I hadn’t thought of that before, but now I definitely hear it.
Killer song & video 👊🤟
There’s genius in how the “avalanche” imagery is reinforced by singing a falling harmony in a drop-down register.
Big John Hiatt vibes, love this one.
Lynnewood Hall looking good
Banger I tell ya.
Nunca decepcionan, por siempre mis favoritos ❤

This album fucking slaps so hard. The more I listen, the harder I fall in love. My dad would have loved The Menzingers, and the hope they represent that rock and roll isn’t fucking dead.
Every time I hear the album, the better and better it gets
Peaches are king
This band saves my life every fucking day
Theyve never had a song I didnt absolutely love to death ❤❤❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉
Way to write a 90's pop country song
Stunning track. Love it already and haven't even dived into the lyrics yet
My heartache is permanent, so I can relate. The bass is fun in this song btw. (have not heard you other songs, so not comparing)
Paul Giamatti on guitar!
Jimmy Fallon on drums
Hahahahahahahaha
Of the songs you released you already released for this album "There's no place in this world for me" is probably my favorite. Maybe biased since I already heard it live. This one is good but I feel like you moved a bit a bit too much from "Chamberlain waltz" with a slower pace in the three songs we heard so far. I own all Menzinger records and you guys are such an inspiration! Already pre-ordered "Some of it was true" along with a T-shirt. Rented World and Captain we;re sinking's the Future is cancelled are amongst my top 5 albums of all time. Keep up the good work!!
This generation's Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. So good!
The story of my life....lol
It's cool that they got to film it at Lynnewood Hall
not one line about being drunk in a grocery store, wth?????
JK LFG MENZOS!!!!!
Okay, you get it, my life is a big bruise. Do y'all have to push your fingers into it so deeply?!
really like it! it has some elements of emo, but only the good ones.
SaltBurn "The Musical"
And a bit bruce springsten
Good one
They literally can’t make a bad song
