Earthworks mics are AMAZING,PERFECTION of mics!....Period!....This video demo with mention of Tommy Clufetos. (drummer of Ozzy).....I played in the 1994 Pearl Players Challenge, Vancouver BC....I was older (20's) age and performed in "Open Category" and, I won the "Open Category"...Tommy Clufetos was In the younger "17 and Under Category" and, HE won THAT category. I am so proud to see what Tommy has went on to do in his drumming career, and big fellow drummer "congratulations" to him ,as well after all these years!!!!!

can you use the Earthworks DM20 on toms/snare with the Focusrite Scarlett/Clarett without making it clipping? I'm about to buy Earthworks DK7 (their 7-mic drum System) and my only concern is I use a Focusrite 8PreX and I'm afraid the microphone's output might be too hot for this pres (since I don't have any pad).

Anyone wondering about this in the future, the answer is yes. I use very little if any gain on my Clarett, but they work great! Never had clipping problems!
