The "Alan" call out is now baked into our cultural consciousness. I was at a festival last year, at the end of the day when everyone was drunkenly walking back to their tents some guy called out for his mate Alan. Immediately, everyone else started shouting "Alan!" then followed by "Steve!". This went on for 15 minutes. It was great 🤣
I went to a gig with my fiancé last year. We got to meet the band after the show and my fiancé introduced herself, her name is Helen. One of the band members heard this from across the stage and replied “Alan?” Cue the _entire_ band shouting “Alan!” At each other for the next few minutes! This band still remember us three shows later and my fiancé is forever known to them as “Alan”
Omg i haven't seen this forever. This is the last thing i sat and watched with my mom before she passed away from cancer. She adored that first bird daytime night time lol. Its hard to watch this again ❤
Years ago my neighbours had a party in their garden, loads of people drunk, singing having a great time. One of the guests was called Alan, one was called Steve. All we could hear was people shouting 'Alan Alan Alan Alan Alan Alan............Thats not Alan.......Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve... It was hilarious
I, along with many others in the UK had a friend called Alan who hated this when 'Walk on the Wild Side' was on TV. I loved watching it and couldn't understand why they stopped making it, it was one of the funniest programmes on TV.
My name is Alan, my elder son is called Stephen. We live and work together in the same small village. That particular bit stopped being amusing some time ago.
Same. Got a random call from another mate who was on a night out saying Alan wanted to kick his head in. I asked why? Turned out, instead of shouting "Alan". The daft bastard was shouting "anal" just like that goffer and took the piss with it.
Part of my job is to check the emergency lighting at work. I always announce it with, "Nighttime... Daytime! Nighttime... Daytime!" The younger ones just don't get it.
The irony was the guy doing the voice of the praire dog was actually called Alan (Davis). I think the reason why this has stood the test of time was that it was a TV show what was written and voiced by some of the UK's top comedians. :)
No, that's not true, Alan Davies never took part in that show, and it doesn't even remotely sound like him. They used that Alan/Steve bit on QI once though.
The first (and probably best) voiceovers I can remember were in a program called "Animal Magic" with Johnny Morris in the 60s and 70s.. he did all the voices himself.
The gopher shouting Alan brings back fond memories. My bestie showed me this years ago when she was in a relationship with Alan, and her ex, who she was still good friends with, was called Steve. She passed a couple of years ago and I miss her, but this video made me smile ❤️ There's a few other videos along the same lines with different animals that are also very funny :)
My cockapoo also called Maggie would not stop barking after hearing that squeaky toy then started running around the house when you started shouted "Maggie" Great reaction, I remember watching them shows years ago.
When you walk around festival campsites in the UK, you will always hear, “Alan”, “Steve”, “Alan”, “Alan”, “Steve”, “Steve”, “Paul”, “Steve”, “Alan”, being yelled out as the Security are doing their patrols, Although the names are yelled out pretty randomly by random punters, we all knew that it meant, “Watch out guys, stash your gear, the Security are nearby, doing their patrols”, Sometimes just for fun they would shout out rood male & female names and swear words, 🇬🇧😎👍🏼
Being from 'Across the pond' so to speak, and an 'old git', yeah, I remember this video very well! Had me in stitches then, and again now. I had completely forgotten this gem! So, thanks for bringing back funny memories! 👌👍🤣🤣🤣 😎🇬🇧
There s a couple of them of those british voice over animal i saw them like 10 years ago and still make me laugh especially that owl with the 12 coffee ' I CAN'T EVEN BLINK ANYMORE' gets me on the floor
Congratulations to you both. I imagine the whole house buying has been a frustrating time and omg even I was stressing out watching the house being delivered! You make a wonderful couple, now enjoy the next stage of your life together ❤️ Sending love from London x
Yes you have to watch creature comforts, it’s genius. They recorded real conversations then animated the series to them, half of the fun watching it is knowing that the conversations are actually real. The animation is awesome as well.
My family find each other in crowds by yelling "Alan,Alan" and when heard we answer back,"Steve,Steve,Steve"! The audio clip is from a Steve Coogan bit.
The Alan Steve callout is so cultural to us, I'll be at a gaming festival called Insomnia (if anyone knows it) sat playing games on my PC with my mates in a hall with around 1000 other people just playing video games and drinking, it's sick, and all through the night you'll hear an echoing loud "ALAN" then an equally loud "STEVE" from a different direction. I've literally had a spree with people for about 20 minutes where I've shouted ALAN and a different person shouts STEVE each time. It's pretty great.
This was one of my favourite TV programmes still makes me crack up laughing now watching it again 🤣. Even funnier watching yours and your dogs reactions 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
My other half and sometimes split up in the supermarket to get the shopping twice as quick. I inevitably loose him, and call him from one end of the aisle to the other. "Alan. Alan. Alan". It always gets him. His name is Ken.
'This video is at least 12 years old' followed by 'I was in middle school.' Thanks for making me feel my age guys😆. I never watched this when it was on telly, so these are all new to me, but the voices are all well known comedians. Maggie is so cute. There are few things cuter than a dog playing with her toys🤩
These are great, especially when you are old, and had forgotten them. One thing good though, it's like seeing them for the first time again. And thanks for reminding me of 'Creature Comforts' too.
I have just recently found your channel, but by the 1st vid I was hooked, you both have great energy together,I love it,keep the vids coming and also I'm from Scotland 👍🏻❤️🏴
Btw, that giraffe on the floor joke was worded slightly wrong. The Barman saying 'what's that lying (lion) there?' doesn't work, as obv if he thought it was a lion he wouldn't be asking what it is in the same sentence. He's meant to say 'Oi, you can't leave that lying (lion) there!' To which the response 'It's not a lion, it's a giraffe.' It fits much better.
This was brilliant! I knew some of these, I am English after all lol, but a few of those were new to me. The beatboxing chipmunk was awesomely funny, and the Michael Jackson tribute was inspired genius!
There was a kids TV show called Animal Magic that ran for about 20 years, presented by a man called Johnny morris who would tell folk about the animals but also give them all voices
I've been a denizen of the Internet pretty much since its inception, but somehow I've never seen this video (aside from the "Alan!" bit). Can't remember the last time I laughed for that long non-stop...Subscribed! 👍✌❤
Thanks for the laugh, yes saw it when first it came ,and I still scream ELLEN ELLEN sometimes...just because. It freaks ppl out. And I love that 😂 Hugs from an old lady in Sweden...living alone...😅
There was a show called creature comforts, they used stop motion to animate animals over interviews with people. Kind of the opposite of this and hilarious
I sadly don't have a dog anymore, but recently came across tik toks of people calling their dogs while they are next to them, as if they can't see the dogs right there. Would be interesting to see Maggie and Charleahs reactions. Lol
I am called Alan, I get it a lot still. Best time was on my 60th Birthday at my party, when loads of people started; Alan! Alan! Alan! all around the pub.

FENTON!
Similar thing happens on german festivals, just with "Helga"
Lol, nearly choked with tears!😂😂😂
It's very Alan Partridge. "Dan! Dan! DAN! DAN!"
ruclips.net/video/fOad90BvvjM/видео.html
Due to this at any British music festival you can hear people shouting ‘Alan’ ‘Steve’ across the campsite all night
The beatboxing chipmunk - 🤣🤣
Omg i haven't seen this forever. This is the last thing i sat and watched with my mom before she passed away from cancer. She adored that first bird daytime night time lol. Its hard to watch this again ❤
I'm sorry for your loss. But glad you have a happy memory of her. I may not have mine much longer either.
"wait a minute thats not Alan..thats Steve?, Steve?.. STEVE STEVE STEVE"

Just like homer simpson. "Australia, America,Australia,America !

OMG yes, Animal Magic with Johnny Morris and Terry Nutkins. Wow, that was a long time ago !!
I love that Anna is in this react thing now she’s so lovely
She is. Such a lovely couple, as my mum would say.
The random "AL" in the Alan one gets me all the time 🤣
Your dog steals the show! LMFAO!!! ♥♥
Your reaction to these actually made me cry with laughter! Tears rolling down my face, snorting and snotting all over the place!!! AMAZING! 🤣🤣

I love that as a brit, I can recognise a good 75% of those voices.
I don't watch much TV so I didn't pick up many, but I did have a moment of "Hang on, that's Jason Manford!" 😂
I didn't realise they were famous people until Jason. Then a bit later I heard Rhod Gilbert. Wondering who all the others were now
I heard Sarah Millican and Jason Manford.
I thought Ricky Gervais as well.
"Ahheee Gets em everytime" - The ships computer guy Red dwarf BBC Not bad for a Canadian lol
I'm a brit and this has made me laugh for decades. Glad you like it.
I loved walk on the wild side (where these clips originally came from) 😂
I miss this, it was, and still is, one of the funniest programmes I’ve ever seen.
My cockapoo also called Maggie would not stop barking after hearing that squeaky toy then started running around the house when you started shouted "Maggie" Great reaction, I remember watching them shows years ago.

I was going to suggest that to them too but couldn't think of the title. Thanks.

"Scottish talking animals" is amazing it'd be a great video to react to
Much love from Scotland x
6:19 their faces 😂😂😂😁

The first time I saw the chipmunk beat box I nearly peed my pants...😂..thank you for the trip down memory lane.
I didn't think anything was going to top the beatboxing one. Then Billie Jean started 😆

This is an old classic that has made it into memes, t shirts, and even a music remix.
JT I live in England and every time I watch your videos I cannot get over how much you look like my son. You have a twin living here.
These are great, especially when you are old, and had forgotten them. One thing good though, it's like seeing them for the first time again. And thanks for reminding me of 'Creature Comforts' too.
Absolutely classic bit of British comedy, I hadn't seen it for years. The Alan joke originated from an Alan Partridge sketch.
Thank you 🤣🤣🤣 I really needed this today 😁
Great post, had me smiling away! You should also look in to the 'Creature Comforts' videos by the makers of Wallace and Gromit ,
Ardman animations creature comforts was the best. It was voiced by the brittish public. They also have a youtube channel with full episodes.
I agree. I just posted the same before I saw this post.
For deffo! They used to be fantastic
@@DruncanUK No worries, great minds think alike (or is it fools never differ?). A lot of love for creature comforts in the posts anyway😁
I have just recently found your channel, but by the 1st vid I was hooked, you both have great energy together,I love it,keep the vids coming and also I'm from Scotland 👍🏻❤️🏴
So glad you found this, try `Creature Comforts`, there are UK and US versions.
Funny stuff both,This one got past me so i`m glad you posted it 😁
I remember that not seen it for a while really needed that hilarious thank you lovely people
That was hilarious! Never saw it before and now I have something else to forward to people.😂
This channel so wholesome. I love it! 🙂👍🏻
10 seconds in and now I have to play squeaky toy with my mutt. Bold opening move. I approve.
Not seen that for ages. So needed that laugh today. Cheers guys. ❤
You Guys are FUN 🤗 thanks for sharing the fun 👍✨🤗
I love the " yeh I'm talking about you woman" ! X

Your pup is adorable with her squeaky toy.
Love your dogs so much. Your maggie reminds me of my daughters beagle Willow. She loves watching animals on the Tv as well.
One of the voices is Jason Maford a great British stage actor and comedian, he's on 8 out of 10 cats and Night at the Apollo...

My dog loves the meerkat adverts, he could be upstairs but when he hears it he runs down and sits in front of the TV watching it.
I remember watching this as a kid when it was first broadcast on BBC1 or something. Suffice to say, I don’t think I had ever been more confused 😂
"You've been a very naughty boy Sid" love that one
"If your mother only knew..." If you know, you know.
this video u guys reacted to is top teir legendary content itll never be forgotten
You’re dogs are soo cute 😂 the squeaky dog toy ahahaha
There was a show called creature comforts, they used stop motion to animate animals over interviews with people. Kind of the opposite of this and hilarious

Hey ya'll should put a dog squeaker TW. My dog just went bonkers thinking I wanted to play. lol Great video.
That just never gets old. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That one's a classic, lol!
Alan will never get old here.
more of these please lol!
'ello, 'ello, 'ello --------------------this is brilliant!
As soon as I saw 'Funny British Animal Voice Overs' my first thought was "night-time, DAY-TIME!"
JT's arms look like a prime candidate for a video where anna waxes them. :)
Possibly my favourite one yet
Loved this
I sadly don't have a dog anymore, but recently came across tik toks of people calling their dogs while they are next to them, as if they can't see the dogs right there. Would be interesting to see Maggie and Charleahs reactions. Lol
I think its the British accents that make this more hilarious. It wouldn't be nearly as funny with American voices.
i love how theres so many voices you can hear from comediens who are really big names like Ricky Gervais and Sarah Millican
Try 'Creature Comforts' Brilliant voiceover animals
Think the Alan thing is a reference to Alan Partridge's "DAN!"
I am tearing up from laughing so much, I can't see your reaction to the gorilla lol
That brightened up my day I haven't seen that in Yonks 🔥
you should try some Janey Godley animal voiceovers. Her Glaswegian accent is quite strong but you'll get into the flow of it.
my friends and i knew a guy called alan, everytime he walked into the pub just about everyone would shout 'alan, alan, alan'
i do believe you need to watch salad fingers if you havent already, so creapy but also a little funny :) i love the videos, keep it up :)
Wow not seen that in years, just pure joy
I am called Alan, I get it a lot still.
Best time was on my 60th Birthday at my party, when loads of people started; Alan! Alan! Alan! all around the pub.
they were fantastic.
Hahaha great reaction guys, keep them coming. Take care.
BBCs Walk on the Wild Side 13 episodes
its a bunch of British comedians doing the voice-overs like Jason Manford, Rhod Gilbert & Sarah Millican
Also watch Johnny Morris who was on the children's tv programme Animal Magic in the 60's 70's and 80's. A huge fan base from just about everyone.
Lol. My son is 30 now and he will still shout Allan and say night time day time.
