I can responsibly say that the in-house staff at Wacom's Japan HQ are well aware that their own non-Pro line pen displays simply can't compete with the newest XPPen and Huion products that are now available. Because when the XPPen and Huion are released, the Japanese staff will go to Amazon and order a single unit to take back to HQ to try them out as soon as they are released on the company's books. They are as clear as a bell in their minds. In fact, the next generation of Intuos Pro samples have been 100% debugging completed. A variety of publicity and dissemination materials are ready, just do not want to release it. Now, with so many Chinese brands competing with Wacom, it's getting harder and harder for Wacom to make money from its pen tablet line. They just don't want to release it. If the flagship pen tablet is released first, not many people will be willing to buy a much-higher-price premium pen displays. I am personally responsible for my speculations and statements!
Thank you. I have also watched your videos and have been inspired by them. Thank you for always making serious and real-talented videos for all the internet users in the world. I will stick to it too!
Hello, thank you for the review on this. I am a Pro User, working at a Game Studio in the USA doing concept art using my tablet over 60 hours a week. I have used Wacom for over 15 years and have not felt that Huion or other options were possible to replace Wacom. I have tried Xencelabs last year at expo and felt that it was finally almost on par, but that the 24" was still to big for me. I just ordered the 19 Pro Kamvas, and I'm excited to finally give it a shot next to my Cintiq. One thing that caught my eye for the 19" pro is that it has a sparkle free glass, something that has always bothered me, even on Wacom. Although new Wacom 22" does finally address. I hope that this new Huion 19 pro tablet will finally give Wacom competition in this space. I will update with my thoughts soon once the tablet arrives!
Thank you for watching this video. Have a fantastic day! In fact, since the expiration of the core patents on the EMR battery-free and cordless pen in 2012, Wacom's branded products business (i.e., pen displays and pen tablets) has been captured by the Chinese brands at a very fast pace. Wacom's days are not good. It's just that Wacom has Samsung ride its coattails, so it can breathe a sigh of relief. Otherwise, why else would Wacom agree to Samsung's shareholding in 2013?
In fact, Wacom's revenue is now largely supported by Samsung's business. If they are still selling only pen displays and tablets, Wacom is probably starving to death.
Wacom is now in trouble: on the one hand, it is subject to competition from Chinese pen display manufacturers, and on the other hand, it has to deal with the challenge of active electrostatic pens from many other powerful consumer electronics manufacturers.
Would be glad to hear your review. I just recieved huion 19" switching from wacom Intous pro, IAF not as good as 15 years old tablet, for the rest it's my first display and it seems to be ok for my work, but didn't have a chance to experience new wacom cintiq pro line.
@@PopArtem Neither the Huion nor the XPPen really have as low an IAF as the Wacom. the Wacom is only a fraction of a gram. The other two Chinese brands are two or three grams. The manufacturing quality of the variable capacitors in the Chinese pens is not up to the precision of Panasonic (Wacom's core component foundry). But the price-performance ratio is much, much higher than Wacom.
I myself have actually made a Chinese review video of the Artist Pro 16 Gen2. I just haven't uploaded it to my RUclips channel yet. I'll upload it in the next few days. It will take some time to add English subtitles. Stay tuned!
@@TheHonestLaborersReviewAnother video that would be very interesting to see would be a Side-by-Side Comparison with "Artist Pro 16 Gen2" VS "Kamvas Pro 19". These comparative videos are the ones that most help to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each product in comparison to its direct competitors.
I myself would have liked to have gotten these three models together to put together a review. I actually did have a number of fans in China who were willing to lend me equipment to review. It's really not that hard to do a review. What's hard is to recover the cost and form a business model. I'm not sure I'd consider doing a large-scale review video that requires a lot of equipment until I've thoroughly thought about how to run it.
So because of the Patten's expiring now. We should wait for the next huion pro tablet? It has a higher chance of being similar to wacom? But the next pro won't be out for awhile 😭
If you need to use a pen display, there's no need to wait for the next update. There will always be new ones to buy. It's this time that you're worth getting. There's no need for another time.
@@TheHonestLaborersReview Thanks Sweetheart :) Just one query, How is 19 inch size enough for Artist? isn't vertical size is as same as iPad Pro 8.5 inch? and this model has 9 inch in height!
@@SD-oe6vv 19 inches is enough for the vast majority of artists. You can go to Huion's English website to see the specific horizontal and vertical ratios of the parameters. 敢問一下色差的問題,雖然這台說是每台都有出廠調色測試但網路上基本都說有紅色色差的問題,想問一下實際情況,謝謝。
