This fight in a nutshell: Tooru vibing (probably eating a burger or something) while Makima wastes the entirety of Japan and her army of devils chasing an 89 year old man.
Assuming Tooru doesn’t technically count as a Japanese citizen himself for Makima’s power to randomly kill… And that’s not even getting into the paradox of what happens if it DOES, and Makima “intends” to have her power kill him through Wonder of U’s calamities.
Tooru could just walk away while the entire Japan citizen die because of calamity that triggered by Makima Dude just got plot armor by doing nothing because his stand literally walking final destination

Add if you like: Makima & Tooru Connections: -Both are the leaders of factions (the Devil Hunters/The Locacaca Organization), which its members use spirits as their main attacks (Devils/Stands). -Both appear like people despite not being ones (devils and rock humans). -Both don't have surnames. -Both have high ranking positions in an organization focused on public safety (head of the Public Devil Hunter Bureau/Head doctor of the TG University Hospital). -Both are antagonists to a protagonist who is a fusion of two beings (Denji and Puchita/Josefumi and Kira). -Both pretend to be extremely caring towards the main characters (Makima taking in Denji/Tooru having dated Josuke's love interest Yasuho) until they reveal that they are cold and manipulative -Both exhibit control over nature (Makima controls life/Tooru controls the flow of calamities). -Both want to attain the thing that allowed the protagonists to fuse (the heart of Puchita/the new lokakaka). -Both reveal that they have stockpiles of an item that was coveted early in the story (pieces of the gun devil/the lokakaka) -Both always have a calm demeanor thanks to their powerful abilities. These demeaners are shattered when they are finally killed. -Both appeared throughout the lives of our main protagonists (Makima was fighting the chainsaw devil before it transformed into pochita and was taken in by Denji/Tooru appeared several times throughout Yasuho's life and was responsible for killing Rai's parents). -Both were only defeated after our main characters exploited a weakness in their defense (Makima was defeated after Denji killed her not out of hatred but out of love/Tooru was hit from an attack where the intent wasn't to attack him, but to save someone else), and would have to be put down for good by an attack relating to existence erasure (Denji eating Makima, with Denji being the hybrid of the Chainsaw Devil who erases what he eats/Gappy using Soft and Wet: Go Beyond to erase the Wonder of U)

Makima tries to pursue Tooru and then suddenly by accident breaks all her contracts and by a simple act of walking, crumbles into bloody mess. Wonder Of U is such a a funny stand when it comes to this cause calamity will make the most outlandish things possible to kill you, like making rain pierce you like bullets, or just you tripping killing you.
Wonder of U, the disaster devil. Currently contracted to tooru. A more passive devil that only lets its power off in self defense, however that category is rather broad, as even trying to locate it can cause calamity to attack you. We can only do our best. As not even hoping can protect us from misfortune.

It would be cool if when the fight begins, the music doesn't start playing until Tooru runs away and when he has enough distance, grabs his MP3 player, plugs in his earbuds, and once he starts the music, "Devil in U" starts to play.
I think I’d be cooler if makima were to approach tooru, only for a car to knock were away from him, and slowly, wonder of u fades into reality, walking as it’s cane echoes till the 3rd beat when tooru puts on the mp3 and starts the music
You can have Makima teleport around with any rats nearby to Tooru and have her avoid calamities, making him realize that he has to fight or at the very least, can't win by standing still.
I feel like he’d be moving away from the fight, just to let WoU do his thing since the stand has infinite range, so tooru could be anywhere, observing the fight as makima tries to keep away from the calamity that befalls her

It'd be an interesting fight dynamic since Tooru doesn't really fight and instead just lets his opponents get decimated by the calamity, so it'd be Makima having to chase down Tooru as he just casually walks in the opposite direction.
if you want to ill answer, I'll even give you the scenario on how the fight ends. how it ends: as makima aims her finger at a now controlled tooru, acid rain comes down, melting her hand, and stopping the attack, while the melting gets deflected to other citizens of Japan, makima tries to get closer to finish it, as she now knows her bang is useless, knowing tooru can't run because of her control, but now, as she gets in arms reach, the other person left as a Japanize citizen who isn't dead is tooru, and due to calamity basically being inf bad luck, that means the person she made a deal with for this power is now dead before tooru could die, causing the contract to be nullified, causing the acid rain to affect her, cause her so much pain that her control is nullified, tooru: calamity, it's a scary thing is it not, im surprised you made it this far, but you cant kill me this way...... makima: why, why won't you di- makima hears something behind her as tooru walks away, a plane crashes into her, and due to her melted state, it finishes her off. KO winner is tooru, he won because calamity is just the ultimate plot armor, unless you have a way to bypass calamity (like go beyond, which makima does not have) expect every ass pull in the book.

Heya! I'm *one* of the commissioners for this one. I fucking love this match up for both and this track does a great job at absolutely nailing the vibe this match brings. Makima trying to fight her way through Calamity to have a chance at taking down Tooru while he just narrowly avoids every blow.
A lot of people are talking about all of Japan dying, asumming WOU's calamities couldn't simply undo Makima's contract. After all Devil Contracts are well within the realms of reality and logic inside the world of CSM therefore they're within WOU's field to be manipulated.
This MU feels like someone saw that Therewolf already had done Gojo VS Makima and they said "screw it, I still want Brandon to make a Makima track but different". And tbh ? I can dig it, especially since the track's fun, even if it's Jojo's. Also, damn that track art's cool. Quite like the fact that the track focuses not on Makima's more scheming side but on a truly agressive and brutal side of things. Definitely makes the song feel quite unique compared to what Therewolf did with Curse Control (not saying one track's better than the other, just comparing overall tone) while still fitting the character. Altho I say that but this "scheming" side is still represented in the track, albeit in a pretty original way via the secondary melody that's heard throughout the song via the piano. It gives the whole track a secondary, more "composed" feel to it which of course fits as it's one of the core traits of the character (speaking exclusively for Makima because I don't know crap about Jojo's let alone that specific character) that they're always composed and reserved, even when doing absolutely brutal things. And one notable thing is that I really like how that secondary softer melody isn't perfectly in tune with the rest of the instrumental for the first half of the song. It sounds almost offkey but in a good way as it fits the characters with a disjointed surface and depth to have two conflicting sides to their song. Altho, as the song progresses, the two melodies get more and more inline with one another as the characters adapt to their enemy and they unleash more and more of their abilities, letting out their true personality instead of the façade they showcase usually. That's why I much prefer the track after 2:32 because the softer melody takes the lead with the rest of the track being almost purely supportive of it. Firstly because it shows a transition that fits the character(s?) really well and also because it just sounds really freaking good too. Special mention for the very end (4:08 and beyond) where it's just the heavy instrumental to truly get across how those two would finish the fight by absolutely ripping one another apart until the other stops getting back up with absolutely no rhyme or reason. Really like that bit. Overall this track is definitely not what I expected of a Makima track but it's one that I appreciate a lot because of how cool and intense it sounds, just appreciable from start to finish in addition to fitting the characters, what else's there to ask of it ? Amazing job with this as always.
This track fits Tooru perfectly as well, since his ability is, quite literally, random chaos and calamity, it's basically Murphy's Law but as a power, but despite this, his power still follows a consistent logic and Tooru himself is a careful schemer who controls this unpredictable calamity to aid him. One thing to note is that, due to the nature of Tooru and his power, there probably can't be a scene of both of them ripping each other to pieces since Tooru doesn't really fight directly, but instead let's his ability shred his opponents to pieces while it also prevents anyone from getting close to him, however, I can imagine a scene of poor, random bystanders being caught in the crossfire of the calamity as disaster after disaster comes to strike Makima, and both characters calmly walking through the chaos.
@@Annihilate0405yeah, many won't, but makima is one of the characters I'd say does manage to kill tooru. Issue is she can't do anything to stop, let alone kill, wonder of U and she just spends a super long time of being killed over and over and eventually dies alongside all of Japan.

Receptionist: I don’t think he has the time, Dr. Akefu is a busy man after all Makima: I think you can fit me in, it will only take a few minutes and it is important Receptionist: actually I think I can fit you in, it will only take a few minutes after all and it is important Makima: thank you We then cut to inside Satoru Akefu’s office with the head Doctor then walking in Satoru: what is it, the receptionist told me it was important enough to cut into my lunch break Makima: hello Tooru Satoru looks shocked for a moment before steeling himself Satoru: I’m sorry it appears that you have me mistaken for someone else now- A doctor then knocks on the door before opening it with the doctor then maneuvering to have his back face Makima, the doctor then mutters some words before leaving Satoru: well it would appear I’m needed elsewhere so I guess this is good bye, Ms. Makima As he said that a loud crack can be heard before a large bookshelf collapses on Makima and Tooru then turns to leave the office but then Makima then lifts the bookshelf off of her *Devil In U begins playing* Makima: I’m sorry but our business isn’t done yet Tooru: it would appear so but do not worry, I’ll leave a trusted associate with you *FIGHT*
This is probably Makima's best matchup when it comes to thematic connections, although I don't see Wonder of U being done in a Death Battle style fight properly. That being said, this is still a fun idea, although I personally prefer Asimov from Azure Striker Gunvolt for Makima.

I remember on the DB Cast of Armstrong vs Valentine and the hypothetical Valentine vs WOU was brought up and immediately concluded that interaction would be world-ending.
Yeah, they mentioned that. If you don't know why, WOU brings calamity while LT directs misfortune somewhere else. TLDR: WOU's calamities would hit LT's barrier and the calamities would be spread around the world.
If it comes down to just killing the user (namely Tooru), Makima has a really good chance of winning. If she has to bring down Wonder of U, as well (because *spoilers* this one is still able to operate even after Tooru has died), then this likely goes to Wonder of U.
The issue is even getting close to Tooru, because pursuit of the user triggers Wonder of U, and once that occurs, there's little Makima would be able to do other than die so many times that Japan becomes an extinct country.
Even if Tooru dies. Wonder of U still activates. It took a beyond logic attack to put it down. As he not only controls the flow of Calamity. He is Calamity
@@Sparkizinho worse still, due to the nature of calamity, it's unlikely she would ever get the chance to actually pull off her win-cons since the calamity would always put her in a scenario where she'd be unable to kill Tooru, for example, keeping her far, far away from Tooru through constant disasters till all of Japan's citizens eventually die.
One of my most wanted, personally. It hurts me that this fight should be in Tooru’s favor, not because I dislike the character but because we wouldn’t technically see any fighting. It’s just Makima trying to make her way through the flow of calamity, in which she probably won’t. Another Jojo W is awesome though.
Yeah, what's more important is that based on how Joshu interacted with WoU in comparisson to others, it seems the more sins you've racked up and therefore karmic debt of sort, the more calamity actually harms you. Makima would've had it ROUGH even if distance between them was quite decent
There is a chance for Makima in where every time she gets hurt or dies she will regenerate and someone else will get hit with the attack instead so there is a chance that Tooru could get hurt by his own attacks (because he is presumably a citizen of Japan) so he may just die because of his own attacks though that chance is low

Not to mention quite a few devils who can kill without pursuing (like the Eternity Devil) or who likely can't be killed by calamities (like the Darkness Devil) who Makima can make deals with or control outright. Since she has millions of lives at her disposal, she can take her time figuring out how Wonder of U works, and since she can spy on him via lower lifeforms (and teleport away via the Spider Devil), she can figure all this out without him knowing.

You literally can't even think about the stand, because then it just activates. It sounds easy, just don't think about WOU or Tooru. However with Jojo, its never that easy. Gappy literally needed one of the most busted abilities to take WOU down.
I really liked how this sounds, legendary as always eh Brandon. Also I don't know anything about makima but it's kinda difficult seeing Tooru losing to anyone else outside of JoJo, heck he's not even a fighter per se since his stand is automatic and the mare thought of going after him is enough to trigger it making even something as simple as missing your step a life hazard! Rain drops will go right trough you, syringes become as sharp as a swords, your leg will fall apart if you stub your toe, cars will outright kill ya if you so much as bump into them. I mean for f sakes Josuke 8 only won because he's a big brain mad lad who deduced that the only way to fight Tooru... It's to NOT fight Tooru, he had to pretty much break reality in order to kill him via his stand.
And that's honestly what makes Tooru so terrifying, even if you have a counter, it probably still won't work, Josuke 8 literally only won because Yasuho happened to be near Tooru and he somehow realized that his bubbles could be dm'd right to her, in other words, he got insanely lucky, and because Tooru is clearly aware of how broken his ability is and how not to be an idiot, he'd just stay far away from any opponent till they inevitably died from the calamity.

Well technically his mom told him how when she met up with him at the hospital also he still needed yasuho's help when she sent the first two go beyond bubbles directly towards tooru since josuke at the time couldn't aim them and later he could still only aim them approximately and had to fire at point blank range to hit wou.
this is my favourite matchup for both and i think it could work as a fight if we include things like rock animals or some physical attacks from WoU, nice to see it has a great track
Im pretty sure he does. Without any other casualties actually due to his stand never actually "attacking". It just ruins your luck and durability and just waits for you to die in an accident

After listening to this, I really want to see this matchup. I honestly know nothing about either of them (despite being a JoJo fan but not reading Jojolion) Excellent track, this and “diabolical invincible me” have gotten my subscription Okay, quick edit. After watching Gojo vs Makima and learning about Makima’s power set, I want this even more because this is so much less of a stomp (I think) and I don’t know how it would go. Given that even INTENT to pursue will target you, and the flow of Calamity means reality ITSELF will try to kill you, Also, Bang is almost NEVER her first choice in a fight. It even makes the impossible happen, by amlofying severity, oh you cut your hand on paper? SURPRISE, YOUR HAND’S SKIN RIPS OFF. Oh, you touched rain? Oh no, there’s 1 million holes in your chest and brain, whatever will I do? Oh, you accidentally kicked a table? Bones go bye bye! It WILL amplify it to the point of lethality, no matter what. Everything from death by money and drinking so hard you forget to breathe, to the deaths that haunt your nightmares, to death by weirdly specific cosmic ray. ANYTHING is on the table. And Calamity is just a subset of Fate, and what does fate do? Drive reality. It ultimately decides the actions and reactions of every THING that exists, with very few exceptions, and only for short periods of time. except Made in Heaven Pucci before the Ending of Stone Ocean {second ending? Timely Wimey Bullsh’t applies here. He got what he wanted, letting everyone know their very fates, achieving Heaven, in his Eyes. Well… Fate decided to screw him over on the way out. Well, not Fate itself, but a character I won’t name because spoilers} As it is the embodiment of Calamity (all things bad, pretty much.) it lives on past Tooru’s eventual demise. And it was only stopped by logic and reality being upended, being the persuer, AND being struck with things that don’t exist. This is Makima vs Gojo but Gojo is AFK and the embodiment of PLOT ARMOUR. At Gojo had to actually FIGHT! Makima COULD be smart enough to figure it out, but she’d trigger it and figure it out too late. She’s dead from the start. The moment they appear together on the THUMBNAIL, she is already long gone.
She'd first have to figure out it's him then she'd actually have to succeed before a calamity kills all her lives and even then wonder of u would persist and just kill her afterwards so at best you could argue it's a draw/wonder of u's win and not tooru's
@@collinherrin4596the thing is wou is known to kill people who aren't pursuing Tooru, but are instead somehow a threat to Tooru or help to the pursuers knowingly or unknowingly, for example the Higashikatas had calamity befall the despite most of them not knowing what wou is, but they were stand users who would be opposed to him so they were neutralized, by this logic I believe that if this fight were to happen, any documentation or record of Tooru as a citizen of Japan would suddenly be destroyed followed by the near simultaneous deaths of every person in Japan

While Makima would be affected by trying to kill Tooru, her dogs wouldn't be. Also, doesn't it fail to go into effect if Tooru chooses to move towards a target, or if there's zero will to attack? (Btw, I'm going off the VS battle wiki) There must be ways to get around it, otherwise there'd be no story and Tooru wouldn't have to try to survive. It sucks that Tooru doesn't know how to fight. If he did, then we could have had a moment where WoU and the rock bugs are fighting Makima's devils while Tooru and Makima are throwing hands. It would be cool.

This fight in a nutshell: Tooru vibing (probably eating a burger or something) while Makima wastes the entirety of Japan and her army of devils chasing an 89 year old man.
Assuming Tooru doesn’t technically count as a Japanese citizen himself for Makima’s power to randomly kill…
And that’s not even getting into the paradox of what happens if it DOES, and Makima “intends” to have her power kill him through Wonder of U’s calamities.
Tooru could just walk away while the entire Japan citizen die because of calamity that triggered by Makima

A more passive devil that only lets its power off in self defense, however that category is rather broad, as even trying to locate it can cause calamity to attack you. We can only do our best. As not even hoping can protect us from misfortune.

As an actual fight, they have to come up with an excuse that Tooru can’t just stand there and just win
You can have Makima teleport around with any rats nearby to Tooru and have her avoid calamities, making him realize that he has to fight or at the very least, can't win by standing still.
I feel like he’d be moving away from the fight, just to let WoU do his thing since the stand has infinite range, so tooru could be anywhere, observing the fight as makima tries to keep away from the calamity that befalls her

It'd be an interesting fight dynamic since Tooru doesn't really fight and instead just lets his opponents get decimated by the calamity, so it'd be Makima having to chase down Tooru as he just casually walks in the opposite direction.

how it ends: as makima aims her finger at a now controlled tooru, acid rain comes down, melting her hand, and stopping the attack, while the melting gets deflected to other citizens of Japan, makima tries to get closer to finish it, as she now knows her bang is useless, knowing tooru can't run because of her control, but now, as she gets in arms reach, the other person left as a Japanize citizen who isn't dead is tooru, and due to calamity basically being inf bad luck, that means the person she made a deal with for this power is now dead before tooru could die, causing the contract to be nullified, causing the acid rain to affect her, cause her so much pain that her control is nullified,
tooru: calamity, it's a scary thing is it not, im surprised you made it this far, but you cant kill me this way......

I fucking love this match up for both and this track does a great job at absolutely nailing the vibe this match brings. Makima trying to fight her way through Calamity to have a chance at taking down Tooru while he just narrowly avoids every blow.

A lot of people are talking about all of Japan dying, asumming WOU's calamities couldn't simply undo Makima's contract. After all Devil Contracts are well within the realms of reality and logic inside the world of CSM therefore they're within WOU's field to be manipulated.

This MU feels like someone saw that Therewolf already had done Gojo VS Makima and they said "screw it, I still want Brandon to make a Makima track but different". And tbh ? I can dig it, especially since the track's fun, even if it's Jojo's. Also, damn that track art's cool.
Quite like the fact that the track focuses not on Makima's more scheming side but on a truly agressive and brutal side of things. Definitely makes the song feel quite unique compared to what Therewolf did with Curse Control (not saying one track's better than the other, just comparing overall tone) while still fitting the character.
Altho I say that but this "scheming" side is still represented in the track, albeit in a pretty original way via the secondary melody that's heard throughout the song via the piano. It gives the whole track a secondary, more "composed" feel to it which of course fits as it's one of the core traits of the character (speaking exclusively for Makima because I don't know crap about Jojo's let alone that specific character) that they're always composed and reserved, even when doing absolutely brutal things.
And one notable thing is that I really like how that secondary softer melody isn't perfectly in tune with the rest of the instrumental for the first half of the song. It sounds almost offkey but in a good way as it fits the characters with a disjointed surface and depth to have two conflicting sides to their song. Altho, as the song progresses, the two melodies get more and more inline with one another as the characters adapt to their enemy and they unleash more and more of their abilities, letting out their true personality instead of the façade they showcase usually.
That's why I much prefer the track after 2:32 because the softer melody takes the lead with the rest of the track being almost purely supportive of it. Firstly because it shows a transition that fits the character(s?) really well and also because it just sounds really freaking good too. Special mention for the very end (4:08 and beyond) where it's just the heavy instrumental to truly get across how those two would finish the fight by absolutely ripping one another apart until the other stops getting back up with absolutely no rhyme or reason. Really like that bit.
Overall this track is definitely not what I expected of a Makima track but it's one that I appreciate a lot because of how cool and intense it sounds, just appreciable from start to finish in addition to fitting the characters, what else's there to ask of it ? Amazing job with this as always.
This track fits Tooru perfectly as well, since his ability is, quite literally, random chaos and calamity, it's basically Murphy's Law but as a power, but despite this, his power still follows a consistent logic and Tooru himself is a careful schemer who controls this unpredictable calamity to aid him. One thing to note is that, due to the nature of Tooru and his power, there probably can't be a scene of both of them ripping each other to pieces since Tooru doesn't really fight directly, but instead let's his ability shred his opponents to pieces while it also prevents anyone from getting close to him, however, I can imagine a scene of poor, random bystanders being caught in the crossfire of the calamity as disaster after disaster comes to strike Makima, and both characters calmly walking through the chaos.
Now we need a Makima vs Manchester Black track
I feel like most Tooru MUs come down to "yeah Tooru dies but can they deal with wonder if U given it keeps going after tooru dies?"

We then cut to inside Satoru Akefu’s office with the head Doctor then walking in
Satoru: what is it, the receptionist told me it was important enough to cut into my lunch break

Satoru looks shocked for a moment before steeling himself
Satoru: I’m sorry it appears that you have me mistaken for someone else now-
A doctor then knocks on the door before opening it with the doctor then maneuvering to have his back face Makima, the doctor then mutters some words before leaving
Satoru: well it would appear I’m needed elsewhere so I guess this is good bye, Ms. Makima
As he said that a loud crack can be heard before a large bookshelf collapses on Makima and Tooru then turns to leave the office but then Makima then lifts the bookshelf off of her *Devil In U begins playing*
Makima: I’m sorry but our business isn’t done yet
Tooru: it would appear so but do not worry, I’ll leave a trusted associate with you

This is probably Makima's best matchup when it comes to thematic connections, although I don't see Wonder of U being done in a Death Battle style fight properly. That being said, this is still a fun idea, although I personally prefer Asimov from Azure Striker Gunvolt for Makima.

Once Makima dies against Calamity, the real question is if she’d even consider it an attack enough to revive since this is just Calamity.
I remember on the DB Cast of Armstrong vs Valentine and the hypothetical Valentine vs WOU was brought up and immediately concluded that interaction would be world-ending.
Yeah, they mentioned that. If you don't know why, WOU brings calamity while LT directs misfortune somewhere else. TLDR: WOU's calamities would hit LT's barrier and the calamities would be spread around the world.
God yeah everyone in that fight would be fucked, except Wonder of U itself it would be fine

If it comes down to just killing the user (namely Tooru), Makima has a really good chance of winning. If she has to bring down Wonder of U, as well (because *spoilers* this one is still able to operate even after Tooru has died), then this likely goes to Wonder of U.
The issue is even getting close to Tooru, because pursuit of the user triggers Wonder of U, and once that occurs, there's little Makima would be able to do other than die so many times that Japan becomes an extinct country.
Even if Tooru dies. Wonder of U still activates. It took a beyond logic attack to put it down. As he not only controls the flow of Calamity. He is Calamity
On general Makima does have many ways to Kill Tooru, but she donsen't have a way to kill Wonder of U, Hell she can't even see the damn thing
@@Sparkizinho worse still, due to the nature of calamity, it's unlikely she would ever get the chance to actually pull off her win-cons since the calamity would always put her in a scenario where she'd be unable to kill Tooru, for example, keeping her far, far away from Tooru through constant disasters till all of Japan's citizens eventually die.

One of my most wanted, personally. It hurts me that this fight should be in Tooru’s favor, not because I dislike the character but because we wouldn’t technically see any fighting. It’s just Makima trying to make her way through the flow of calamity, in which she probably won’t. Another Jojo W is awesome though.
Yeah, what's more important is that based on how Joshu interacted with WoU in comparisson to others, it seems the more sins you've racked up and therefore karmic debt of sort, the more calamity actually harms you. Makima would've had it ROUGH even if distance between them was quite decent
There is a chance for Makima in where every time she gets hurt or dies she will regenerate and someone else will get hit with the attack instead so there is a chance that Tooru could get hurt by his own attacks (because he is presumably a citizen of Japan) so he may just die because of his own attacks though that chance is low

Wonder of U only activates when the target is intending to pursue or hurt, right? Then Makima could control someone into killing Tooru without trying to pursue him by changing how they think, sort of like what Denji did to her. Not to mention quite a few devils who can kill without pursuing (like the Eternity Devil) or who likely can't be killed by calamities (like the Darkness Devil) who Makima can make deals with or control outright. Since she has millions of lives at her disposal, she can take her time figuring out how Wonder of U works, and since she can spy on him via lower lifeforms (and teleport away via the Spider Devil), she can figure all this out without him knowing.
@@markmolayal9402 Yes, that is true. However, pursue is so fucking broad that us even talking about the stand is us pursing it. You literally can't even think about the stand, because then it just activates. It sounds easy, just don't think about WOU or Tooru. However with Jojo, its never that easy. Gappy literally needed one of the most busted abilities to take WOU down.
This is a super difficult fight because not only if you go after Tooru will your chances of dying skyrocket, it constantly goes up the closer you get

Also I don't know anything about makima but it's kinda difficult seeing Tooru losing to anyone else outside of JoJo, heck he's not even a fighter per se since his stand is automatic and the mare thought of going after him is enough to trigger it making even something as simple as missing your step a life hazard! Rain drops will go right trough you, syringes become as sharp as a swords, your leg will fall apart if you stub your toe, cars will outright kill ya if you so much as bump into them.
I mean for f sakes Josuke 8 only won because he's a big brain mad lad who deduced that the only way to fight Tooru... It's to NOT fight Tooru, he had to pretty much break reality in order to kill him via his stand.
And that's honestly what makes Tooru so terrifying, even if you have a counter, it probably still won't work, Josuke 8 literally only won because Yasuho happened to be near Tooru and he somehow realized that his bubbles could be dm'd right to her, in other words, he got insanely lucky, and because Tooru is clearly aware of how broken his ability is and how not to be an idiot, he'd just stay far away from any opponent till they inevitably died from the calamity.
And devils from chainsaw man wont die easily either
@@code066funkinbird3 true, they take much more effort to kill than semi-regular humans (I say that even though humans in JoJo can get shot like 30 times through multiple vital organs and keep fighting) but eventually the calamity would be too much to handle, especially with the fact that it can just ignore durability.

Well technically his mom told him how when she met up with him at the hospital also he still needed yasuho's help when she sent the first two go beyond bubbles directly towards tooru since josuke at the time couldn't aim them and later he could still only aim them approximately and had to fire at point blank range to hit wou.
The concept behind this fight is genius and the song absolutely slaps. I hope it gets made into an official Death Battle animation.
As much of a disgusting stomp this is (in toorus case), this track goes pretty hard
Omni-man vs Homelander showed us that sometimes even a stomp can be entertaining
this is my favourite matchup for both and i think it could work as a fight if we include things like rock animals or some physical attacks from WoU, nice to see it has a great track

Okay, quick edit. After watching Gojo vs Makima and learning about Makima’s power set, I want this even more because this is so much less of a stomp (I think) and I don’t know how it would go. I can see it going either way

It WILL amplify it to the point of lethality, no matter what.
Everything from death by money and drinking so hard you forget to breathe, to the deaths that haunt your nightmares, to death by weirdly specific cosmic ray.

And Calamity is just a subset of Fate, and what does fate do? Drive reality. It ultimately decides the actions and reactions of every THING that exists, with very few exceptions, and only for short periods of time.

As it is the embodiment of Calamity (all things bad, pretty much.) it lives on past Tooru’s eventual demise.
And it was only stopped by logic and reality being upended, being the persuer, AND being struck with things that don’t exist.
This is Makima vs Gojo but Gojo is AFK and the embodiment of PLOT ARMOUR. At Gojo had to actually FIGHT!
Makima COULD be smart enough to figure it out, but she’d trigger it and figure it out too late.
She’s dead from the start.
The moment they appear together on the THUMBNAIL, she is already long gone.
I always thought "Control Of U" was a cooler name but dis works too.

honestly kind of fair because of the amount of revives makima has and the fact that she can one shot him at any moment
She'd first have to figure out it's him then she'd actually have to succeed before a calamity kills all her lives and even then wonder of u would persist and just kill her afterwards so at best you could argue it's a draw/wonder of u's win and not tooru's

@@collinherrin4596the thing is wou is known to kill people who aren't pursuing Tooru, but are instead somehow a threat to Tooru or help to the pursuers knowingly or unknowingly, for example the Higashikatas had calamity befall the despite most of them not knowing what wou is, but they were stand users who would be opposed to him so they were neutralized, by this logic I believe that if this fight were to happen, any documentation or record of Tooru as a citizen of Japan would suddenly be destroyed followed by the near simultaneous deaths of every person in Japan

(A Redditor named ShrekPrism came up with the name just wanted to put this in because of how great of a name they gave it.)
Wonder of U only activates when the target is intending to pursue or hurt, right? Then Makima could control someone into killing Tooru without trying to pursue him by changing how they think, sort of like what Denji did to her. Not to mention quite a few devils who can kill without pursuing (like the Eternity Devil) or who likely can't be killed by calamities (like the Darkness Devil) who Makima can make deals with or control outright. Since she has millions of lives at her disposal, she can take her time figuring out how Wonder of U works, and since she can spy on him via lower lifeforms (and teleport away via the Spider Devil), she can figure all this out without him knowing and consciously retaliating.
The problem is that "pursue" is very broad.
@@Annihilate0405 Right, but Makima can control mind to have someone just coincidentally be there, or launch an attack without even knowing it's an attack or knowing who Tooru is. While Makima would be affected by trying to kill Tooru, her dogs wouldn't be. Also, doesn't it fail to go into effect if Tooru chooses to move towards a target, or if there's zero will to attack? (Btw, I'm going off the VS battle wiki)
There must be ways to get around it, otherwise there'd be no story and Tooru wouldn't have to try to survive. Especially when you can control people's minds to make them kill Tooru without pursuing him

It sucks that Tooru doesn't know how to fight. If he did, then we could have had a moment where WoU and the rock bugs are fighting Makima's devils while Tooru and Makima are throwing hands. It would be cool.
