I think it would interest you to know that Copland was an avowed gay left wing socialist who almost had his career ruined by McCarthyism. So, he was most likely "bitching" about what was fair and what wasn't. It would be advised to leave your political statements out of classical music, especially statements as ignorant as the ones you made.
