Looks amazing! Love to try it, but the barrier to entry with touch tennis is the lack of courts. While it may not be high level, a patch of asphalt, some chalk, and a net and you're laughing and playing pickleball.
wow nice sport. I love tennis and just discovered it! Sometimes I play with Foam balls on a wall here in our little village. I will love this sport! I hope there will be tournaments in Germany! I love foam balls! Greetings Tim
Rodrigo Teixo it all depends on the surface. Some of these guys smash a ball in one set. Other times on a smooth grass court it will last five sets. As we only use one ball for a match once it’s broken we start a new one.
Do you really think grown up tennis players need two hands? Do you think it’s just a strength issue? It’s about control. It’s what you’re used to. I’m a one hander but that doesn’t mean everyone is.
touchtennis sorry to interrupt, but on the website there seems to be no touch tennis in East Anglia, apart from Catton Grove, and they do no touch tennis. Any possibility of events starting in this region changing any time soon?
Sam Fitzpatrick at our last tournament in Belgium people travelled from Spain, Sweden, France, Scotland, England and of Germany! East anglia to somewhere in England isn’t that far! Also maybe just buy a couple of racquets and balls, play against anyone you know on a badminton court where you can lower the net!
We're in two minds about it. It's probably possible now but I'd rather players called their own lines. Our umpires only step in if there is a dispute. It would be nice if we always had fair play.
Ahmad is considered The G.O.A.T with 20 slams. Only rumours but apparently he beat his daughters to win them. Roberts would be Novak. Willis would be federer. Mould would be Rafa!
@@luciobecker2637 not true! There are four official touchtennis courts in Rome! Contact touchtennis Italy on Instagram and they can tell you where to play!
All they need to do now is create a court between this size and normal tennis court size. Use normal tennis balls ( but more deflated) and adjusted tennis rackets.
Okay there is literally no need for clay courts in touch tennis. If you have to slide for a ball in touch tennis you must either have really slow reflexes or just be immobile😂
Neil Sashti clay isn’t about sliding. It’s about the bounce of the ball. The ball reacts differently on grass, clay and hard. Also, we slide because it’s fun.
Amazing players and amazing sport. I love it! ;)
Thanks Kiosko.
Thanks to you. I try to promote touchtennis in my city. I upload some video to RUclips playing this beautiful sport on my channel.
For me as a person that loves both Tennis and table tennis this seems like the perfect game.
It pretty much sits bang in between!
My exact first thought when I saw this !
Would at least try to play this if there were courts for touchtennis in my country.
Fei Li make a court! It’s cheap. You just need some flat ground!
but isn’t it comical the way they treat it as if it were real tennis? with the hyperbolic commentary. It is very high level though and looks fun
Sounds like you need to play pickleball
how is pickleball more popular than this... touchtennis looks like way more fun!
Agree! Thank you for the support!
Exactly

Thanks mate. Someday we’ll get to Germany I’m sure.
Please popularize this more.
Trying buddy! Thank you!
I never knew there was a sport like this
The more you know!
We need to turn this into a legitimate comedy thing also because I think people would actually watch it
Where can one play in these tournaments?
Check out the website and if we are in your country it will redirect to that site.
Why is there so little room next to and behind the court? It limits the defensive options.
@@specialjeffreyke it’s all the space we had at this venue. Normally there’s more.
@touchtennis so it's not something that's officially regulated yet?
@@specialjeffreyke this tournament was 2017. Now it’s regulated more. Minimum 3 metres behind as the run back and two metres each side.
This is adorable I love it
This is what you Call mini court
Could anyone tell me where to buy balls???? I cant buy from anywhere
@@kinkkonk2000 hey there. Which country are you trying to purchase them in?
@@touchtennis to Czech republic. I hav tried UK, US and Spain. No balls
@@kinkkonk2000 Germany will stock them very soon mate. In a matter of weeks. Italy also has balls on the Italian touchtennis site.
How long time does this ball last compared to tennis ball, playing in a good level, ie hitting it hard?

Dang small spaces, condos rooftops should all have this lol
That’s the goal!
Was Andy Murray commentating at 1:37? It sound just like him. Hahaha!
Size of the court?
12 metres by 5 metres for singles.
just imagine john isner playing that
Eduardo Yáñez often wonder about that. I think he would still need to break serve though!
@@touchtennis he would be the goat because nobody would be able to return his serve hahaha
With so many tennis clubs hard up money try might convert all tennis courts
Certainly a lot cheaper than glass caged courts!
What kind of material is that ball?
FutHD it’s a dense 8cm cut foam ball.
Can you play if you're a beginner?
@@hamza-chaudhry absolutely.
The grunts 😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Cuáles son las medidas de esta cancha??
12 metres long. Six metres wide!
wtf are they using double handers for? How can you not have enough strength for such a light ball??
Do you really think grown up tennis players need two hands? Do you think it’s just a strength issue? It’s about control. It’s what you’re used to. I’m a one hander but that doesn’t mean everyone is.
Racket on touch tennis is like junior racket right?
Restu Ardhi Ansyah indeed. A 21” junior racquet. We want to keep the sport cheap and accessible.
How can I get started in a place that virtually has no clue what this is
Tarun Martheswaran no one knew what it was when I started it in my back garden! I just hustled my friends! Where are you based?

touchtennis ok, just disappointing there is no coaching in this region

That was out !
Is there a challenge in touch tennis ?
Fei Li no! We don’t have Hawkeye yet!
touchtennis are you hoping to add line judges as the sport grows?
We're in two minds about it. It's probably possible now but I'd rather players called their own lines. Our umpires only step in if there is a dispute. It would be nice if we always had fair play.
touchtennis yeah, and there’s no certainty the line judge will be more correct than the players
It may not be out. I record my matches, and shots that are clearly in when I'm playing look out on camera.
Who are Djokovic, Federer and Nadal of this sport? Who are the goats? They have to be here too :)
Ahmad is considered The G.O.A.T with 20 slams. Only rumours but apparently he beat his daughters to win them. Roberts would be Novak. Willis would be federer. Mould would be Rafa!
Can I play at 13 years of age?
DaSock not in tournaments but you can “play” anytime.
touch tennis i think not I shall call it tennis with giants
I guess in Italy this sport does not exist. Much better this than Padel.
It does! Look up touchtennisItaly on Instagram. There are already 20-30 places you can play touchtennis in Italy and loads of tournaments.
@@touchtennis Yes thanks, unfortunately not in Rome, my city. Only North Italy, as always. Things here arrive later :-)

Exactly. Why do we have to all be supreme athletes to enjoy competing? We just wanna have fun.

They really think they are playing a seroius game
No. We really dont. But hey, Simon had a laugh and won a car and five grand that year.

Neil Sashti well, only 10 years to go and you might win a game off Marcus Willis.
I don’t know who that is but okay
Rien à voir avec le tennis 🎾, aucun charme

So is your spelling. “Than”.
