thank you so much for sharing this!! i also struggle to get emotional in front of people as i’ve also always been put in the caregiver role where i have to be strong for everyone else without having that be reciprocated when i needed emotional support, but lately i’ve been going through a lot of emotional 💩 and i’ve been allowing myself to cry without feeling shame like i usually would, so i really appreciate you sharing your experience of owning this side of yourself ❤❤

I really love what you said about “this is how I’m feeling rn, it may not be coherent or true in the long term”. That’s something I need to do more of. To help me realise that I don’t need to commit to my visceral reactions but also it should be something to be aware of when others are opening up to you. I think we can be quick to take what people/ourselves say at face value without allowing others/ourselves to have time to re-evaluate and build upon it. Sometimes I find that I may say something to someone when im upset and immediately regret it but I like that you preface this to your friends. I love that idea of acknowledging the shitty moment in the Moment and then safely unpacking it later. I may not get chance to comment on all your vids these days, but I’m always there on the sidelines cheering you on! Keep up the good work Dwayne the rock Johnson!

i'm so sorry to hear about how sick you were... had no idea that it kept going even after your previous surgery and oh my gosh you had to pay back your pandemic financial aid (??) .... i'm so sorry to hear everything that has happened to you this year, nicole.... it's really interesting to hear you articulate about your thoughts as an adult against your childhood experiences. I'm glad you're taking a step back from being a therapist to everyone around you and be the person that deserves to be listened to as well.
