Bacterial Cell Division: Cell Growth and Binary Fission explained in under 15 minutes

In this video you will learn how bacterial binary fission is done. How is cell division connected to bacterial growth in bacteria?

Here we have the divisom consisting of fts-proteins including the FtsZ protein forming a ring around the cell body to seperate both daugther cells during bacterial cell division.
To divide into two cells, new parts of the cell wall must be synthesized, including peptidoglycan synthesis.
One essential step in bacterial cell division is the synthesis of new peptidglycan, but how is it intergrade into the existing cell wall?
