trp Operon & Attenuation explained in under 15 minutes
As one of the classic examples of gene regulation the trp-operon in E. coli is the prime model for transcription attenuation regulating tryptophan synthesis.
To synthesize Tryptophan this operon is regulated by two distinct mechanisms, firstly a tryptophan repressor and secondly transcription attenuation.
In this video you will learn how the DNA binding affinity of the tryptophan repressor will regulation the trp operon and how transcription attenuation is able to form exclusive secondary structures to regulate the trp operon as a second layer of regulation
How is it done? Just find it out in under 15 minutes.

Bacterial Cell Division: Cell Growth and Binary Fission explained in under 15 minutes
Просмотров 22 тыс.4 года назад
In this video you will learn how bacterial binary fission is done. How is cell division connected to bacterial growth in bacteria? Moreover we will look on molecular level, which important factors are part of bacterial cell division. Here we have the divisom consisting of fts-proteins including the FtsZ protein forming a ring around the cell body to seperate both daugther cells during bacterial...
This was an amazing class. I really appreciate you sir.
So helpful thank you!
great video, thank you!
hocam ingilizce bilmioz mk 🤔
So helpful! Thank you so much!
This is a very good introductory lecture to bacterial cell division. It provides a broad valuable overview.
Why did he stop making videos ??
Amazing explanation. Thank you so much!
Thank you that was a fantastic help for my understanding!
🐐
THANK YOU!!
Bless your heart❤
That was great! thank you
This helped SO much! Thank you!!
Really thanks a lot 💖
Thanks mate!
The cell is annoying
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for the nice explaination
very good explanation sir
Amazing explanation! Thank you
how does the RNA polymerase continue to transcribe the leader sequence if tryptophan is high? the repressor will bind to the operator if tryptophan is high (corepressor) and so the RNA pol is blocked.
Well im wondering same thing I MEAN HOW but after this vid im thinking maybe tRNA holding trp and thats why repressor not working ???
But IMHO there is a little bit another mechanism of translation continuing in the low trp situation. New ribosome is attached to the starting AUG codone of trp-E enzymes mRNA
Great explanation
start at 4:30 for attenuation
Thank you for this video!!
great lecture
Perfect 🥰
Thanks a lot ❤🌹
Great animations, very well explained! Thank you for the video.
This video does not have enough love!

Who/what triggers (the first step of) the cell division process? Is it the ftsz proteins? If so, are these created inside the cell after some time of the cell's creation?
Somatids make hormones that allow for division
Thank uuu
This was really helpful! Thank You 😁
This is super awesome! You deserve more viewers and more subscription!
saved my microbiology grade, thank you!!
this guy deserves his name been written with golden words
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much
How translation continued in low trp while there is a stem loop in its path?
This was such an incredible explanation--thank you!
wat een kerel, ik snapte hier eerst echt geen kloot van
Very very helpful. Thank you so much.
Thank you 🙏
Thanks a lot, great explanation!
Very helpful! Thank you
