I just discovered APC and came looking for reviews when I came across yours. The last several years I've tired of big designer brands and really like high quality/low key these days. Your APC baguette is stunning! I'm going to check out your unboxing video now :) PS, the cons are not cons at all, everything you listed are as I would expect. I am a minimalist and only carry my essentials with me. The bag is gorgeous, well made, high quality. I can see why you are smitten with it.

I have the 1st iteration of Celine’s box, in size large. The leather is so easily scratched, & the weight of the bag (with no contents inside) is so heavy. I rarely wear it, & it sits in its dustbag on my shelf. I’m too nervous to use it, for these reasons. Not sure what I should do with it.
I’m glad you have the version of the more durable/less scratch-able leather, & in a smaller size.

Anyway do you mind taking the measurements of the strap drop as a shoulder bag and as a crossbody bag. I would wear it as a shoulder bag but having the option to do it crossbody is a plus. I'm on the petite size so I'm just worried about the length. Thank you for your help 😊❤

I know its quite similar to celine and I can tell the leather is much more scratch resistant plus much much more affordable but to be honest Im drawn to celine shape more 🥹

Hi! I just got this bag in black and I dunno if its just me, but I can’t figure out how to extend the strap without feeling like I’m damaging the strap :( any advice?
I love your review! It gives me a better idea of the colour I want. I’m keen on getting the chain baguette bag in brown. I wonder if you know the chain can be worn on shoulder ? I could only find photos of the chain bag worn cross body.

Great question! I really enjoy both bags but they’re different. I feel the Ateliers Auguste is easy and carefree. The leather is pliable and lightweight. It’s perfect for crossbody when you’re on the go. I feel the APC is so polished and looks more expensive than it is. It’s great as a shoulder bag to pull your outfit together but I don’t wear it crossbody. If you’re looking for a baguette shaped bag to elevate your look, go for the APC! If you’re looking for a more everyday crossbody, go for the Ateliers Auguste! Hope this helps.

That’s a beautiful bag. Is it important to have a bag with detachable strap?
I actually think it looks simpler and cleaner with the strap attached (meaning no additional hardware or clasps on the sides to remove it) but when the straps are not removable it just makes the bag a little less versatile, that’s all.

Do you find the holes on the strap still in good condition with no cracking? I ordered one from Farfetch but had to return it coz of cracking around the edges of the holes on the strap. Wasn’t sure if someone used it and returned the item.
same! i returned it too. Do you plan to exchange for a new one?
@@YingYing9ying I haven’t decided yet. It’s tempting coz it looks beautiful but then I worry that if cracking has happened in one then it’s possible on a new one too.

Yes I’ve seen it listed as “hazelnut” on some sites. It should be the same color!
@@hellocatwalkcity the bag is arriving today from Farfetch. I got it for $470. I almost got the square version of this but this one didnt have a branding at the front that’s why i got this baguette version instead. My dream is to get the Celine but it’s just way to expensive.

A huge waste of money for $600.00! Also looks like fake leather. It’s a big pass for me!
