Question: why not implement a quick fade out of the white border when switching from any number of boxes to one box full screen.. and visa versa when going from regular switching to boxes? Would make transitioning from full screen (normal) switching to boxes and back..

Looking at the Advance panel click on the supersource button and you will see that there are 2 supersources but they are grayed out, I wonder how do you activate those two. 🤔
You will need a switcher that is capable of two super sources like the 8K constellation and then you will be able to select those super sources. If you have a switcher with just one super source then the first one will at least activate. Hope that helps!

How would you take Camera 1, key and mix it with another channel (say Camera 2 on the ATEM) and then rout that to box 1, box 2 would be camera 3, box 3 would be camera 4 and box 4 would be camera 5. Is this possible? Or do you need to do the key separately (like say in OBS or another ATEM) in order to have it in the supersorce composited and keyed?
At the moment. I believe SS boxes can only have 1 camera feed in the box and you can't do a chroma key inside a SS box very easily without bringing in an external piece of hardware. A really quick and easy way to do this might be to use an atem Mini to do the chroma key and then send that final look/feed into the atem mini extreme to be used inside of a SS box. If you don't want to do it outside of the atem mini extreme and are ok with getting a bit complex, then here is another option. Keep camera 1 with a green screen background and put it in your super source in let say box 1. Then set your preview or program to the background in which you would like the green screen to be. Then turn on an upstream key and set the super source be chroma keyed out. As long nothing else is the same green in your super source then the box will be the only thing to get keyed out if your settings are adjusted correctly. Then play with your green screen background and possibly shrink the image to line up in your box. I would do the moving and shrinking in something like pro presenter but you could use a different up stream key with a DVE to shrink and move the background around. Make sure you are laying properly as upstream keys layer in a specific order so you might need to flip which keys you are using for chroma vs dVE vs background etc. There are always lots solutions for a single problem. Which ever one you find easiest AND within your budget should make the most sense per person. Hope that helps.

Hi, most common problems we’ve seen is the background is not actually set to background in the SS settings under art. Also all 4 SS boxes need to be enabled at all times. If some of the boxes are off, they will not show up when you trigger transitions. I would suggest checking those 2 items as it has fixed a lot of users issues. Thanks!
Which version of companion are you using? I found out that the default version does not yet support the extreme panels. I used one of the nightly builds for version 2.2 which works. You need to add the atem switcher as an appliance first before loading the profile (on the left side). You’ll need the IP address for it to work. I will be sending back an updated version of the readme to have these issues documented
This is soo good. Will it work on Mac? I heard, just macros is not available for Mac, but this info is a little older. If not, will it work, if you use just macros on a windows to set it all up, program the macros and import the macros on a Mac for companion/streamdeck use? Appreciate your work!!

Between macros? No i don't believe you can. Macros are just actions executed to the end and then you can run another macro if you want. If you are asking about SS Boxes. It might be possible to hard code an opacity and transparent feature which then you could fade a box to 100% transparency and bring another box in or fade it up but I don't believe black magic supports transparency on Super Sources. Interesting idea though!
@@A2ZProductions I had the NewTek mini and that's how I had my PIP setup 2-3 n 3-2 but I could dissolve between my two PIP i was hoping I could do the same with my Blackmagic all good Thank you.
You do not need one, but you will need companion software to make it simpler to use. You can technically just trigger everything from atem software if you would like.

when you open up your macros page (Drop down at the top or click Command M or control M.) you can delete one macro at a time by selecting it and clicking the circle with a line through it on the upper right hand corner of the Macro Window.
I Just got it working with the Atem Mini extreme, but it requires a beta version of “companion”. The normal download has an older version of the BlackMagic atem module that does not yet support the Extreme series. You need at least version 2.9.0 for that module.
